I have for many years purchased Totes and found them to be excellent quality... until now. It doesn’t take Einstein to put an umbrella up and for it to stay up, but this umbrella did not stay up. I duely contacted Totes who wanted the umbrella back for inspection. Back it went. I have now received their customer services response ... basically it’s all in my head and clearly I was not putting the umbrella up correctly.... I kid you not !!! I simply cannot use an umbrella, neither could my sisters either it would appear, as on the first night I tried to use it, I was away with them .... a solicitor, an IT consultant and and a retired deputy head !!! All of us clearly incapable of using an umbrella correctly.

This umbrella doesn't have a full catch to click it into place, so hard to stay up - even harder to collapse again! Disappointed. Very odd from a good brand.
