How does one write about a lump of wood.Well it's more than that and it's not just an overflow for the cutlery drawer.Strategically placed this solid addition to the kitchen puts all the right stuff in one place.Forget a set of knives. Where do you keep your scissors. Your favourite old faith full stuff.Where's the garlic press. That teaspoon you need quickly. The little fork for the teabag.This block is too sturdy to have wondering the worksurface. And too good looking.Always know where it is. Always go straight there.

Nice. Just be careful when inserting long knives (Breadknife or Carver). As the bottom is open one of my knives was touching the work surface...(new kitchen)!!!..phew glad I noticed otherwise that would have caused damage. Just move the longest knife to the top slot (bigger depth!). Didnt need a block that houses a 'steel's as I use a sharpening block but I have 6 chefs knives. Problem for me is that I now have an empty slot. Still nice though & looks the part.

good knife block. If it fits the knives you want to put in it then it is fine.
