My better half is a fan of tequila rose. Whilst I would say that this is a cream liqueur, with a strawberry flavour that tastes a tad artificial on first sip (though that might be partially due to the tequila base being bull against the strawberry flavour), though the strawberry aftertaste is rather nice… she would say that it is blooming lovely. No harm, no foul – each to their own.This set has a 50ml bottle with two branded shot glasses… nice… but here is the kicker. On the prices on review (just the Amazon prices mind). This set is £17.99, which is slightly more than a 70ml bottle on Amazon and a whole £7.99 more than a 50ml bottle sans glasses. That makes it a bit pricey in my book.However,

I'm guessing this drink is presented in a black bottle because its bright pink, similar in colour to a popular indigestion medicine in fact. In this gift set it comes presented with a pair of attractive shot glasses but the actual packaging is not that classy.The drink itself is a bit of a contradiction. The lurid colour and the shot glass presentation suggests its aimed at the younger set, yet the flavour would appeal more to the older drinker. The strawberry flavour is more subtle than the strawberry milkshake flavour of Bailey's Strawberries and Cream and both my wife and mother in law preferred it because it was less sweet. The tequila is a delicate flavour rather than the whisky in Baileys which can be a little overpowering.

This will make a great Christmas gift, which I've no doubt will be welcomed with a smile.....This is a really lovely drink, with a very smooth texture and gorgeous creamy strawberry flavour. It's actually not at all unlike Bailey's, but with a Strawberry flavour. You can taste the tequilla, but it's not overly harsh, so ideal for most palates.The ABV is 15%, but to be fair really seemed higher!I have only tried this as it comes, and to be fair don't think I'd want to mix it with anything else.As a gift set, it's ideal, a very attractive bottle with 2 x good quality shot glasses in decent overall presentation gift packaging.Somehow I don't think this bottle will last long.......

My first reaction was that this is way too sickly sweet. Then my husband said, “think of it as a strawberry flavoured Baileys”, and it instantly became more palatable, tasty even. Very much a dessert-type drink, creamy, sweet and smooth. Nit the freshest of strawberry flavours, but that’s probably difficult to achieve in a creamy liqueur.The presentation is okay, but would not make a particularly luxury gift. The shot glasses are emblazoned with the brand, which detracts somewhat. The packaging is basic card and thermoformed plastic.Overall, I liked it, but I am not sure I’d buy it again. If you are a fan of really sweet alcopop type drinks, you might really love this though.

In a world full of gins of every imaginable spin; a shot of Tequila Rose pours from its dark bottle looking for all the world like a shot of pepto bismol. It has the same color and consistency; but it doesn't have that pepto taste. For science I a poured a shot and found the strawberry cream liquor base to stand forward. So if you aren't a fan of tequila it doesn't dominate the flavour; it just seems to makes it more rich. Think strawberry milkshake rather than lemons and salt.The gift pack is presented nicely; the two included shot glasses are branded but make a nice compliment to the drink. Those who like milkshakes or other cream based liquors will likely enjoy this.

This gift set is more expensive that the bottle on its own but for that you get the 2 shot type glasses. They and the pack they all come in do look impressive and make me think they could be worth it if for a gift. If it was me I'd probably go for the bottle alone and I think the price is fair as what you get is a strawberry version cream liqueur equivalent to the high end one of the coffee one. I cannot taste any tequila but that's a good thing as wouldn't want to taste it with strawberry! To me and my other half we both loved this and think it's perfect.The glasses are 2cl. So you don't need much a time and it's 15 percent alcohol so similar to other cream liqueurs.

As someone that *tries* to be a responsible parent, I can immediately recognise the peril in this product. Don't be thinking that this is a tequila liqueur - it is alcoholic strawberry milkshake. A Bailey's for the McDonalds generation.Delicious, moreish and dangerous. Thankfully it has a *relatively* low alcohol content of 15% - most cream liqueurs are 17% - and the bottle is small than standard at 50cl, but that still means there is 7.5cl of alcohol in this bottle, which is 7.5 units.All of which is to say, be careful where you store it!As you'd expect, this is at the sweeter end of the cream liqueur market, and Aunty Jean probably won't like it.

I was told by my son that I would love this drink and searched supermarket shelves for it with no luck so bought it on amazon and wow ! Am I glad I did... Such an amazing drink , you could almost throw it down your throat because it tastes like a strawberry milk shake but not recommended of course because of the 15% alcohol content .. Gorgeous chilled and will keep up to 6 months in fridge once opened -but you know it will never be in the fridge that long.. Sad as I am I am not a drinker but this could certainly start me off being one ...... I wonder what it tastes like on strawberries ? .......ummmm. Highly recommended...

This is a really nice drink, I was surprised just how nice it actually was. It is a nice pink colour and has a nice creamy taste of strawberries, with a small kick. This is only a 15% abv drink, but this makes you drink a bit more than you should, and before you realise it, a lot of the bottle has been drunk. The gift set contains 2 shot glasses to compliment the drink. If you like the drink, just buy the drink and save a fortune. I personally would just get the drink again, the glasses are not worth the extra cost (unless you must have it as a gift).

This stuff is amazing. It tastes like strawberry milkshake, has no horrible aftertaste and when ordered for a hen night, it was the most popular drink by far.Strong enough that it'll get you drunk without being so strong that it knocks you sideways, my only advice would be not to drink this with other drinks as I can only imagine it'll curdle in your stomach!This was delivered quickly and was extremely well packaged. It had the website of the company selling it, but otherwise didn't say what it was or that the contents were alcoholic

I'm writing this review while sober because if I was writing it after a few shots of this it would probably be far too gushing.This is an excellent, sweet liqueur which is just 15% by volume but barely tastes alcoholic at all - which may not be to everyone's tastes, of course. The strawberry flavour isn't sickly - I certainly didn't get tired of it.The included shot glasses are branded, obviously, but good quality and they look robust.I would 100% get this again, in the larger 70cl bottle without the glasses.

One of the first things when drinking this is you realise it's not Tequila. It's more like a Baileys. When you check the box you realise it's only 15% so pretty weak in terms of alcohol. However once you set that aside it is a very nice liquer style drink and very pleasant to sip but you definately couldn't drink a lot of it.The colour is like Pepto Bismol or Strawberry milkshake. It's pretty versatile as well .... at least that was my excuse when I poured it over Vanilla Ice Cream.

This is a very well presented gift box of Tequila mix and two shot glasses. While the packaging is on the flimsy side it looks really nice. The bottle looks good and the shot glasses are nice too.Now the drink itself is a delicious strawberry tequila cream liqueur a little stronger than most wine. It goes down very smoothly with the taste buds. The bottle is so dark it is hard to see how much is left, but I really enjoyed it so much it didn't matter to much.

Many years ago my niece introduced me to this lovely drink so, as she now lives in Germany and has no access, I returned the favour and bought a bottle for her wedding preparation morning. It seemed to work as she was a relaxed, happy bride and was delighted to have a taste of her youth. I quite liked the smal taste she and her bridesmaids allowed me! Seriously, this is smooth drink for lightweight drinkers like myself but beware - it goes down very easily.

I do like the occasional Tequila, usually in a party setting, and I confess I treat it as a ‘down in one’ drink so I only get a fleeting taste of it. This Tequila Rose is completely different, it still has that Tequila kick, but it’s deliciously sweet and a drink you can actually savour.It may be a little too sweet for some people’s pallets, but personally I really enjoyed it, and the inclusion of the shot glasses means it’s a great gift set as well.
