I bought this Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger Liqueur for my aunt as a gift because she let me stay with her in South London during an operation and follow up appointments (I'd moved to Worcester). She has a little gin collection so this should be perfect as she likes these flavours in general. The design is really nice and the colour of the gin is just lovely.I can't review on the taste as it is a gift, but it sounds delicious. You can drink it on its own, with a mixer, prosecco/champagne or in a cocktail. The gin is 20% ABV which is lower than most gins, but i guess you can enjoy it without getting too merry, or,drink a bit more than usual.I'd recommend this as I'm very tempted to buy one for myself now!Edit: We opened the bottle when I arrived and I had it with lemonade - it tastes so good! Sweet tasting and very nice to sip on.

My wife and her friends enjoy gin and tonic and it was on that basis that I decided to purchase this item for her when it was more competitively priced as part of an Amazon deal. It isn’t a gin as such, rather a liqueur and therefore ideal to be sipped after supper, or at any time as a social drink (20% ABV).My wife has tried this liqueur with tonic, but prefers it neat which allows the drinker to appreciate the evident, but not overpowering, rhubarb flavour and the subtle, yet evident, ginger too. Diluting it with tonic, not only dilutes the alcohol, but takes away more from the key flavours than what it adds. This is one to drink neat she thinks and whilst not a gin drinker myself, I agree with her.I wouldn’t even add ice, if you like a cooler drink, keep it in the fridge and leave the ice. This is one to drink on its own.

First enountered this in the Crown Point Tavern, Norwich which has several speciality gins behind the bar (Thanks for the tip, Bob&Emma). This gin is *extremely* easy to drink and tastes lovely - the rhubarb and ginger really come through even though well diluted with tonic, especially if served with a slice of orange rather than the usual lemon. The other 1/2 has a smell and taste problem at the moment, but she could still taste this perfectly and was so happy.Plus, at 20%ABV (Rather than Gordon's at 37%) you can sip away without getting too blasted, or drink twice as much as usual, your choice:-)

The flavour is amazing. If you like Rhubarb and ginger combined then you will be pleasantly surprised; it's a lovely Gin and once you've tried it there's no going back....I read the reviews and that was enough for me to make the purchase. I'll definitely be buying it again. I have bought it again. We also bought the large bottle but don't get confused it is a completely different taste, the 70cl 40% is much stronger and isn't the same as the 50cl liquor....I've recently tried another Rhubarb gin and it's nothing like it.....it's great to try others but I'll be staying with this brand.

Oh my God, this is the most delicious thing I ever tasted! I ordered for my friend's birthday and as I like rhubarb myself I decided to try even though I am not a gin drinker. So I ordered 2 bottles. I was blown away by the deliciousness and I very reluctantly parted with the second bottle, I asked my friend if she liked rhubarb.... Hoping she hated it (lol) she loves Rhubarb unfortunately... She described the taste as heavenly! A fabulous product will definitely be ordering more.

I bought my Dad a bottle of this for Christmas and we'd finished it by the end of the day. This gin is DELICIOUS. We had it alone, with lemonade, and with tonic water, and it retained its strong fruity flavour no matter what the mixer. The flavours are very natural - the rhubarb is the most noticeable and there is a soft (in no way strong) hint of ginger to complement. It does not taste extremely alcoholic - and is very easy, in fact, too easy, to drink.

I purchased this for my mum, who is a G and T snob. (in a nice way... I think) She doesn't go with the super expensive brands for brand name sake, but like to experiment with tonic types and gin types to get a nice blend.but having now tried this Gin, she said she'll find it hard going back to normal ones. This is definitely a winner as a gift and I'll be purchasing it again. may even try it myself one day, if I can bring myself to liking tonic water...

I'm a fan of Edinburgh Gin, but I hadn't tried any of their flavoured drinks before this one. The liqueur definitely tastes of rhubarb with a note of ginger. It's only 20% so expect it to be finished quite quickly. It's VERY sweet, as you might expect, so it makes a decent mixer with some soda water. Personally, I'd prefer it to be a bit tarter and sharper, but it's still rather tasty and unusual.

This is probably the best fruit infused alcohol I have ever tasted. The first hit of ginger quickly gives way to the sweet/tartness of the rhubarb to leave the ever so familiar taste of gin. have only tried it neat so far and love it. OH! don't forget to keep it in the freezer, keeps it chilled and more like a syrup, and no ice cubes required to cool it so no watering down!

I got this for my gin loving sister. She'd never tried it before and was quite excited to give it a go. Thankfully she wasn't disappointed but she was also not blown away. She felt that the ginger was a bit too strong for her tastes and that she would prefer to drink plain gin with a nice tonic. It is a great present and looks nice but perhaps it is a required taste.

Nice bottle, design etc but I can't comment on taste as it is a gift for a friend - herein lies my disappointment. Packaging was fine and secure but when I took the bottle out it had some sort of sticky residue all over it (it wasn't leaking) and now I've got to try and clean it up without ruining the labels before I can give it to my friend.

Such a lovely flavour to this gin, very authentically rhubarb-y with a lovely warm hit of ginger. Sweet enough to be good on it's own or over ice, but tangy and spicy enough not to be sickly sweet, it is also good with ginger ale/ginger beer to ramp up the spiciness. Spotted it on a special price deal and bought 2 as it was such a bargain.

If you have a sweet tooth and like rhubard and custard hard boiled sweets then this gin is for you! Tastes just like it. I don't like ginger taste usually but I can't really taste that part of it as it's not over powering. I have it with lemonade or add a shot to Procesco, add ice and fresh raspberries/strawberries. Lovely summer drink.

This premium product is always highly favoured and flavoured to my liking. It's funny but I don't like plain gin just the liquors. This is perfect with ice cold lemonade in a very large glass. I would happily thank anyone who would buy this as a present but for now will have to do with buying it myself, especially when on offer!

This particular flavour of gin is lovely, so I ordered it as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately as other reviewers have described mine also arrived covered in sticky residue so couldn’t give it away. It arrived on Christmas Eve so I couldn’t return it for another on time but Amazon were really helpful with the matter.
