I find this a very badly designed product. When I lift the basket onto the draining hooks of the machine, oil drips and collects in the rim of the fryer, rolling down the outside. When the lid is lifted after use, oil and condensation roll freely down the lid and down the back of the machine, there is no method of collecting it. Puddles of oil collect underneath. I do not overfill the machine, so that is not the reason. Even when the machine is not in use and is being stored, I always find sticky congealed oil underneath it when I come to use it again. Not surprisingly, it is not used very often.
