Buy With Total Confidence. This is so very, very good to use. It makes a chore..... well, less of a chore.(Please forgive me if there are spelling/grammar errors due to my Dyslexia & Scotopic Sensitivity, thanks)So, I am a "big guy". Younger sports mad, but now "getting on". This is a chunky and satisfyingly "meaty" item and "fits me" good. But I note that it is designed so that a smaller hand will still find the ergonomic design tweaks comfy and safe to hold, just as I do..It has a decent weight to it, which is always satisfying. It has very comfy grip to it that makes it feel great in your hand and not flimsy or cheap & lightweight like a lot of others. It heats up superfast, and the water fill point is BRILLIANT. Good design on the aperture and it is not a "slow fill" one. Just pour the water in at speed and it is fine. The steam is far better than the Tefals I have used before. It really easiy deals with anything from JEANS to Cotton Shirts that need Paper-fold style creases in them.I have temperature fussy fabrics and "branded" clothing like tee shirts that need lower temperature pressing with steam so as not to "melt" the shirts or the emblems etc. This just glides over them without issue and still pumps a damned good level of steam through giving a near professional finish in no time atall and no effort. The Irons "weighy" feel belies the fact that it is not heavy to use, BUT it does not need a big amount of effort to remove even difficult creases post-wash. They have got the balance so perfectly designed on this between a great feel and great performance and being a "substantial" feeling product too.I am a big fan of the Auto-Off too as my Son forgets to unplug the Iron al the time. Now I wont have to worry about it or Pay for wasted energy when he does that.......my last Tefal lasted 8 years and is still going, but I decided to treat myself to a higher capacity and heavier steam rate Iron as my laundry mix has changed as my Son has grown to his colege and Uni' years now and he practically LIVES in jeans now and thoise emblazond Tee Shirts so I liked the idea of a versatile Iron like this one and it is really a fab choice I am happy with to say the least. My cotton shirts are an absolute breeze with this Iron & my time at the board is definitely far less as this is far better than my older onbe and that was amazing to be fair.As a rule, I go with the "ain't broke don't fix it", and my old Tefal is still better than most other Irons, but I am feeling secure in buying this newer Tefal product as I feel confident it will last a decade or more, considering the last one is still going strong after 8 years.....(Tap water filling is always a good thig too).Buy with Confidence. This is a TRULY great product and oozes quality and performance.I am always stunned that the Amazon Warehouse poducts are so hugely lower in price and have barely a tiny mark on them. This item had a cosmetic scratch 9mm long. FRANKLY, I would scratch it more than that in the first couple of weeks of usage.Getting a HIGH END electronic item from a great Brnad Name that I trust at a hugely reduced price is simply fab.Great Value For Money :-)

Fast delivery, was bit surprised as the amazon box wasn't marked as fragile and the polysterene protection was bit broken when opended the package. The iron seemed to be in a good condition though. It glides beautifly and despite of many reviews referring to it as extremely heavy, it doesn't give me too heavy impression. You expect a sturdy iron to be on the heavy side, but it's nothing you would normally notice, unless you had an uber light and small iron before. Did 2 hours of ironing and the weight wasn't an issue at all.The temperature dial is bit tough to operate when trying to reduce the temperature, when increasing the temperature, the dial moves smoothly. The spray button on the bottom side of the handle is not an iessue either. If you have a normal grip and not holding on to the handle for your dear life, then you don't even know it's there and if it ever comes under your finger involontarily, you'll soon learn to instinctively avoid it.Bit worrysome is the sound, although the machine itself is very quiet, it does tiny cracking sounds about every 15 seconds, and the temeprature control light is on and off quite often. This might be because of the iron trying to even out the temperature of a soleplate to keep it on a steady setting, or so I hope. I noticed a few occasional drops of water around 15 items in the first ironing. The drops were colourless so didn't bother me much and was nowhere near the standard leak where you get dirty liquid mixed with lime scale on your fabrics. Will see how easy will be the cleaning and the maintenance. Not sure how to validate the warranty. Tefal offers 10 years warranty on their products, but should anything ever go wrong, I'm not entirely sure how I would go about the claim. After first try I consider it a very good product for extremely reasonable price in comparison with other irons that are out there. My previous Tefal iron had only 2200w power and very basic soleplate that good badly dirty after a couple of years of usuage. It used to take me over 3h to through a pile of laundry. This new Tefal iron did the job on the comparable pile size in something over an hour which makes me think, I will probably never buy again an iron under 3000w.

Exactly what the headline says. I did a lot of research on this product and it delivers! For me, the cord length is perfect and the way the cord attaches to the iron is just right, the cord doesn't seem to get in the way and sits neatly in the gap in the base without any additional effort.Maybe its because i'm a gamer, but the trigger action spray is awesome. I spent a good few minutes chasing my daughter round the house with it :) I found the steam to be good and the iron glides across the surfaces really nicely, the heat adjuster is easy to use unlike some iron's ive used. It heats up fast and is always ready to use by the time I am ready for it (i usually get the iron, plug it in and then fetch and put up the ironing board). The filling hole is big, big enough to fit the tap into the hole, so less chance of the water spilling out.I don't have anything bad to say about it!

My last Tefal iron was some years old when I had to discard it as water was leaking from the handle. Bought this as a replacement and could not be more pleased. This was bought as the closest "like for like" example.I like the placement of the controls apart from the spray button but as I don't use this very much it's not great drama. The sole plate glides beautifully over the clothes leaving a softly ironed surface especially to my cotton bed linen. It is heavier than my last iron which is no bad thing, means less pressure on the clothing.Decided to keep the old one to use as a dry iron for my quilting. Too good to completely discard but steam is needed for my household linens and clothing.

Cannot fault this iron at all. Have had one for several months, a friend came to stay and needed to iron something, used this and could not believe the quality of it. It has a good 'weight' and 'feel' to it and the non-stick surface sticks to nothing. The hottest setting is ideal for cotton shirts (I still iron 'non-iron' shirts to give them a better finish) and on a lower setting it's fine on man made fibres. We always use ironing water in the tank and it keeps itself clean. At £49.99 (which, admittedly, is probably more than I would expect to pay for an iron) this I would say is very good value. So much so that the friend who tried it is now having one for Christmas!

This steam iron is actually pretty nice. I normally buy steam generators as I find steam irons to be slow and lacking in power, yet I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one was actually pretty powerful for what it is. It does give good steam and irons smoothly over clothes. It has a standard fill system in front which allows for a fair amount of water to be held and a pretty useful de-calc tool too. The safety feature is pretty good, turns off after 8 minutes if left upright, turns off in 30 seconds if you leave it metal down. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this little iron for the cost.

I’ve had Tefal irons for donkeys years (probably c.18 years). Always loved them, but sadly my 10 year old iron gave up the ghost last week. Replaced it woth this iton. First impressions are good. Like other reviews, I’d agree that it’s quite a heavy iron - certainly heavier than its predesesser. The spray function is also in an awkward place, and I’ve been triggering it my accident. But it irons really nicely. Glides really well and gets the creases out. Am sure I’ll get used to the weight and the dodgy location of the spray button quickly!

Bought this iron after worst experience with Russell hobb and this is by far the best iron I have in 20 years. It gets hot and decreases the cotton just as wanted. steam is like generator irons and as some people complain about it being heavy, i feel that it is heavy but one doesn't need to press down as you would do with cheap iron that your wrist starts hurting, with this one you just glide it and it is done. trust me you won't be disappointed with it.it is just few days but will update in few months

Replaced my old iron which was having difficulty getting through the creases in my cotton bedding, this iron has no such problems, it's very powerful and heats up quickly. One slight negative is the shape, as it has a frame around the back of the iron which means it won't sit in the ironing board rest, which makes things a bit awkward, I will probably have to get a new board. One other minor niggle is the colour of the iron does mean you can't see the water level, but this shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Replacing another Tefal iron which had worked well but developed a fault after a few years. This one looks good, feels well made and irons well, and seems to have good features for descaling etc. But it is quite heavy - 2kg, vs. 1.5kg for my previous Tefal iron. Not sure why. So if that is important to you, you might want to consider other models. Also the steam control on this model is only "Max" or "Off", whereas the previous model had a middle setting. Not sure why.

As usual Tefal has been a superb choice. Very easy to iron even material hard to be perfect! Very quick heats up and great it's switching its self when left forgotten (regards to my son). Long cord and easy to fill up. The only one thing what I can mention with a tiny minus is, the water goes very quick and needs to be refill quite often...however I reckon it's because the steam is so powerful... well you can't have everything... overall very pleased ?

I like this iron as it is fairly heavy, I deliberately checked the weight before buying. It's easy to adjust temperature, steam and easy to fill. I live in a hard water area, so love the fact that it collects lime, and I can empty it away and clean the holder. It has ironed all my clothes and bedding particularly well, where i had creases i now have smoothness!! I would recommend this if you like to have a substantial iron to use.

I don't use the Iron myself, as you don't keep a dog and bark yourself.. (my house keeper will kill me if she reads this,,, lol.)I bought this on the recommendation of my house keeper who uses this model at her home, she said it was one of the best and most versatile irons she had used and her opinion hasn't changed using mine, it does exactly what it says on the box, A tad expensive but you gotta keep the natives happy aint ya..

3.7.2019

Wow at last a fantastic iron that does not job really well. Good grip....heavy duty but not heavy ...the stand is well product designed and the base support the iron when not in use. Steaming is a breeze no drips of water ...the scame ean system easy to use . The electric cable is certainly ideal and long enough. If you want your ironing to be bliss then this is the only one you need to give you a quality finish to your clothes

4.8.2018

glides so well on the clothes, steam is great for those creases and the weight of the iron really helps with that too. If you struggle holding or doing repetition for a long period of time, the weight, as good as it is for doing the ironing, could cause you some trouble. but if your a normal healthy person you wont notice it. really nice iron and you wont ever go back to using cheap and cheerful ones again.
