I am loving it!! I order this for a while and I’m testing this active fryer by cooking a variety of foods, chips, sausages, chicken and fish. I am happy with the results as this is very similar to the Air Fryer (was the item I wanted!! ) which is/was much cheaper than this Active Fryer. However I give all thumbs up as this didn’t let me down and my chicken and chips are crispy and succulent. The bad thing is that I cannot use on a variety of cooking such as baking cakes like the Air Fryer does. I was expecting to receive a recipe book with it but I went online to check new ways of cooking .

I had one of these for years until it finally died! I loved it! Bought a cheaper one and was very disappointed in the quality. Decided to get another Tefal and am so happy! Easy to use and to clean. Cooks all my favourite meals but in a healthier way! Chips are fantastic, crisp but fluffy on the inside. For a snack meal I did chicken nuggets and frozen chips together which cut down on pots and pans. Once you have got used to this method of cooking you’ll never look back! So glad I went back to Tefal. Definitely worth spending a little extra for a quality product!

After reading many reviews I was expecting average results. How wrong I was. Everything I have cooked in this little gem has turned out brilliant. It cooks evenly and if you get your timing right it cooks perfectly. Chips, sausages, sweet and sour, stir fry, tried them all and it never failed me. I deliberated about buying one of these for ages. I only wished I had bought one earlier. The only negative, and the reason I didn't give it five stars was the noise. It is incredibly loud for a kitchen appliance. But please don't let that put you of.

I have been sceptical of air fryers in the past, and the expense had put me off trying one out. Oven chips though? good idea but never great results, deep fat fryer? waste oil is a nuisance. So I gave it a go, and I'm very pleased with the results. First off oven chips are far superior quality, and home made chips were excellent. My wife was delighted with how good they were, and cooked in a spoonful of oil, so no smells either. So if you are unsure, like I was, put your mind at ease and try it

Having used this appliance for a couple of months now, I've noticed how it is great for some foods but rubbish for others, and as my teenage son often overloads it, we can see that it then just mashes up the food in it. Sometimes you need to remove the spinner in the middle otherwise your food gets pummeled to smithereens. But having said all that, you buy this appliance knowing what it does and it is great. I would recommend it to anyone that eats fried food as a healthier option to deep frying

I’ve had a couple of these in the past only seems to last 1-2 years then the plastic bit in the middle wears away and the arm no longer turns so the food won’t cook evenly, but really good when it’s working, I recently bought a different make just to see what it would be like, but it was useless only had it for about 2 weeks and returned it and went back to this one. I really feel this is a great product but if the manufacturers would make the small part in the middle easily available to repair.

My 2nd actfry my 1st one lasted 7years my old 1 broke down I had to get another it is an important part of the kitchen frozen chips are cooked too perfection and I don't have to keep turning the chips bung sausages in they are cooked so even and the fat left in the pot easily drained away. 1 minor thing its noisy well it is a big hairdrier but that's not a problem when you see the results alarm sounds when timer has done its on the level of your microwave i,e you will not do without it again .

My Parents were very pleased and their actifry works a treat. It was a replacement for the one they had beforehand and they really liked using the actifry, so we replaced it for them. It’s also a healthier and easier way to cook chips and other items. There was an offer on as well which we took advantage of and we made sure we took cover out on it too which was a decent price. We used the click and collect method too which was quick and easy to use. Thank you Argos for great service as usual.

I had an actifry a few years back but unfortunately it broke. At the time I went for a cheaper version but it just didn’t do the same job. Because it didn’t turn the items it didn’t cook evenly and real potatoes would just not cook.Thai is why I’ve gone back to the actifry. It cooks real chips perfectly because it turns them. I do wish though that it would automatically turn off when the alarm sounds but it’s no big deal.Real chips take around 35/40 mins with frozen chips around 25.

The Actify is very easy to use and gives great results. The chips are never going to taste like they've been done in a deep fat fryer, but that isn't an issue for me. I've used it to roast vegetables as well as chips - they've always come out perfectly. I use spray oil rather that the measure that comes with the actifry and find that just a few sprays gives me brilliant results. The chips that come out of this are far better than I can produce in the oven. I absolutely recommend this!

We have been following a diet for a year but have recently changed type which now allows us to use a small amount of oil when cooking. We had been cooking healthier chips using an oil spray in the oven, but they were never proper chips, just mini roasts.With the Actifry you only use a tablespoon of oil which is plenty for cooking a kilo of chips, they come out lovely, looking and tasting like proper chips.All in all a great piece of kit which we recommend to healthy chip lovers!

Bought this one for my brother, he loves it. I bought one 2 years ago, they are brilliant, so easy to use. Frozen chips are so much nicer done in this. I probably don’t use mine anywhere near the capacity you can use them for but mine is on almost every day. I cook loads in it from chips, potatoes, veg, sausages etc. Best thing about it is if I’m not in my teenage kids can throw something to eat together quickly in this, set the timer, and food cooked in no time. Definitely recommend.

Not as customisable as other fryers - but for doing chips and roasting vegetables it’s worked brilliantly. Easy to use and clean, the arm that turns the chips etc. over leads to an even colour without having to turn them over. It’s a bit pricey for what I use it for, but it does what it does very well. If you want a dry fryer with temperature variations and more bells and whistles this may not be the one for you - have a look at specifications before you buy - but it’s perfect for me.

The stirfry is an excellent cooker and is superb for chips, roast potatoes and veg. Meat is best cut into small pieces. The main problem with it is the timer, it does not switch the cooker off at the completion. Also stir fry needs to be watched carefully as the cooker does cook at a very high heat and could burn veg. A basket is available to fit instead of the paddle, good for fish, veg etc and at the price of this unit I think should have been included. It is difficult to buy.

After a friend told me she would never cook chips in the oven again after this, I was sceptical. However, after the first load of chips we had to talk ourselves out of making another batch for supper. Super easy to use, and clean as the parts all detach. Only downside is it is noisy and it is a large round appliance so difficult to store, but ours is left out as we use it almost daily. Yet to try cooking anything other than roasties and chips, but by far the best purchase this year!
