I was pleasantly surprised by the Actifry Genius XL, it fit well into my families life. It has a nice design and appears fairly sturdy and well made, I liked the way the handle folds when not in use, safer for a house with children. It was easy to cook with the Actifry, healthy chips, sweet potato fries, chicken thighs/wings and casseroles etc, you just put things in and it does the rest. The chips tasted great although they didn’t look as good as the picture on the box.The Actifry is quite large so you need a bit of worktop for it and a little nosy, but not unbearable. The mixing blade was hard to clean by hand, dishwashing was a lot easier. The chip program was too long, and chips were partially burned,

As a member of slimming world for the last 15 months I have long heard talk of actifries & air fryers & actually had one on my Christmas list.Santa decided we didn't have enough cupboard or counter space for something we may only occasionally use & so I was disappointed. I put it on my valentines, mothers day & birthday ideas list until he dodged a bullet and we were selected to product test the XL Genius. Since its arrival I have probably used it every other night. I've made meatballs, chips, roast potatoes, chicken nuggets & stir fry so far (noodles and rice) & I absolutely love it. Its replaced most of my pans & is so quick & easy to use that even my miserable Santa has made dinner himself (a belated Christmas miracle!).Cooks food to perfection,

Although the chips this makes are lovely you can do so much more with this airfryer. You can use the app to find some great recipes (we also bought a book) to experiment with. We've made healthy vegetable crisps, roasted potatoes but our absolute favourite from this test time has been Oriental beef which we found on the Tefal app. So delicious. We were a little disappointed to see we had to buy the mesh basket separately considering the price but other than that we are so pleased. The huge range of meals you can make with this is eye opening and we are already feeling much healthier having less traditional fried or oven baked foods.

Very easy to follow instructions on using the ActiFry provided in the instruction booklet. It comes with a variety of different food cooking settings that actually do cook the food perfectly. Particularly of note is the setting used for chips because it is bang on in terms of time and produces the best crispy chips we have ever had. The paddle ensures that the chips are done evenly. No burning, no sogginess. Raw chicken cooks completely as I was a bit concerned about this, but it was done perfectly. Breaded items such a chicken nuggets are done perfectly as are raw sausages. I would only say if doing a hot pot, do not add too much corn flour as it will dry the stock up and you will end up with gel not gravy,

this is my first experience of a Tefal Actifry product, I had high hopes and have not been disappointed. Initially, I was surprised by the size of the product, it's big and needs plenty of counter space, it looks good though and is high shine, there's an easy open and close mechanism and a clear window on top so that you can see the food as it cooks. there are are a number of pre-set cooking options all of which can be paused and un-paused at any point with the touch of a button. at first use, I was surprised at how much noise it makes, however, I got used to it quickly and the quality of the food makes the noise not matter. We are a family of 5 and usually find air fryers to small to cook enough for us all in one go,

If you are looking for a Fryer this is so for you! It can cater for any size family. We have 9 people in our household and I promise you now . This managed to feed us all and more ! We fitted a bag of 1.5kg chips and still more room and these took about 20mins to cook! Amazing we used to have to do 2 portions not no more ! It has a handle little paddle so keeps the food moving so no more burnt residue on the bottom. Cooks evenly perfect every time . Potatoes , curry’s, chips, parsnips, chocolate cakes ! You name it this makes it spot on ! You honestly will not look back. It has really easy to use control modes which sets for different meals . Also has a extra keep warm button which is excellent (

This is like having a chef at home. Simple to use 9 settings, you make curries ,casseroles, even desserts, recipes are available via an app, non cooks can finally cook with confidence. Ideal for a family with a 1.7 kg capacity for chips, and 99 yes 99 percent less fat. The good news then is that it’s very simple to use. I think this is a truly amazing kitchen appliance. I have had this in action for most meals in the past two weeks. The best food it makes by far is chips, and healthy chips at that! Just cut some potatoes, I've used the rooster red potatoes and place in the actifry with one spoon of oil, 28 minutes later you have perfect crispy and fluffy chips. I've been so impressed I even had a dinner party and had to have chips on the menu. This also cooks great roast potatoes too. The app is good, it still needs a few more recipes to be added, but you can just input what you have left in the fridge and it'll show you recipes. The recipes have a step by step guide, showing which buttons to press and makes following a recipe a breeze.Overall,

I am so impressed with how easy the ActiFry Genius is to set up and use, it’s literally just touch and go! There are 8 different modes and it’s worth taking a minute to read the instructions to choose the correct one for what you’re cooking. I used mode 8, the world one to make some outstanding stir frys and curries. They tasted amazing and were much healthier as they use hardly any oil. The food tastes better too and doesn’t lose any of its colour during the cooking process. The app is just brilliant, there are so many ideas of what to cook, you can even bake cakes in it! I’ve hardly used my oven at all since I got my Genius, and I can’t wait to try out more dishes. It also makes the best roast potatoes,

The Tefal Actifry is an amazing machine, not only is it simple to use, but the results are fantastic and full of flavor. We have tried multiple dishes ranging from simple chips, to a curry and Mexican chili. All so easy to prepare and the cook in the Actifry. What is refreshing about the Actifry is that the way it cooks means that everything is cooked perfectly and the flavors are well mixed in creating the perfect taste. I have often found myself just staring through the lid watching the food cook. The machine easy to clean, and serve as the pan lifts right out of the machine, the glass does get very hot and you have to be careful when opening it but once you've opened the lid you can just lift up the handle and remove the main pain to serve.

This has revolutionised the way my family cooks. My husband is a complete novice in the kitchen and even he has used this a lot in the past two weeks. It’s so handy for things like chicken nuggets, fish fishers etc that my five year old loves, the chips I made in it were the crunchiest chips I have ever made, and I also made fajitas, curry and spaghetti in it, it’s so easy! The preset cooking modes are so handy, the keep warm function is genius and the rotating paddle makes sure everything is cooked evenly!The only cons I can see are it is reasonably sizeable on the counter (which was not a problem for me, but if you are limited for counter space you might not like this,

Such an amazing machine! It can cook a ton of food, and make it delicious and healthy every time! From breakfast to easy lunch to complex dinner to delicious crispy chips every time to even dessert there is nothing it can't do. Two things that might annoy some is that it is quite big, so storage might be an issue (however it's sleek so leaving it out is not something that would annoy anyone), and as a strong machine which uses heated air to cook, there will be some noise while cooking, but again nothing too annoying. I love cooking now more than ever because of my actifry, there's a huge variety of recipes I'm looking forward to cooking, and even more are on the app for me to discover.

Actifry Genius XL is an all in one magic pot that can cook anything from fry to different dishes, may it be with sauce or not. Its not your regular air fryer which can only cook fries or onion rings. I cooked sweet and sour chicken, chicken thai curry and other dishes and it was perfect night meals, not only was it a perfect meal but it was delicious and everything on it was cooked perfectly, not undone or over since you can use the manual option to which you can choose you time and temperature or you can just select from the different modes. Its so easy to cook and doesnt need to much attention since you can just put everything in the pot, set the timer and the paddle will do the rest!

The Tefal ActiFry Genius does pretty much exactly what it says it does. It takes the fuss out of preparing a range of foods, and crucially makes cleaning up afterwards a breeze! I tried several recipes, the curried rice needs a bit of practice to get right, the burritos were good first time around and after changing the water quantity, great the second time around. But, it is chips that really set this baby apart. I love chips, and they are cooked PERFECTLY, literally every time. Crisp, healthy and no chipshop smell of oil around the house for hours afterwards! They are so good, I want to cook chips every day. I am enjoying experimenting with different recipies, it is fun,

Gone are the days of staring into a cupboard and trying to figure out what to make for the family for dinner. With the use of the app I could easily plan the week's dinners and shop quickly and economically. Crispy potatoes or chips, Currys easily cooked from scratch, homemade chicken nuggets or battered shrimp. Every time a perfect dish! Had to clear a spot on the kitchen side due to the sheer volume of use, didn't put it away! The versatility is spectacular I was gobsmacked at the sheer volume of recipes available to try. The ActiFry genius XL has pride of place in our household and as soon as lockdown is over we will be keen to have friends and family round and show them our new menu's and creations.
