I purchased the dual M.2 (SATA) Drive. I have two M.2 SATA 500GB drives that I wanted to add to my desktop PC. My SSD drives are M+B key (this device works on both M+B key and B key but not M key). Fitting is straight forward as it fits into a 2.5 inch drive bay and uses SATA power and data cables as expected. Once booted I only had to format the drives and then allocate a drive letter. I wanted these two drives in RAID 0 and that occurred by default. It's just as fast as when they were on my laptop in RAID 0. Very pleased with purchase but I do think it was a bit pricey for what it is.

Dilemma:My mid range gaming MSI Laptop came with 1xNVME and 1xSATA slots available for storage?Looking for performance / space without the spindle spinning lags attributed to SATA...Upgraded NVME to 1TB, so far so good what are my options for M.2? NONEThen I came across the Startech dual M.2 2.5 SATA conversion kit, haven't looked back, installed a 2TB M.2 and very pleased waiting to fill the 2nd slot when prices drop...Outcome is a silent gaming rig with speedy read/write times, and an increase in total overall space without breaking the bank! ?Great job Startech!
