The model I received for review was the security backpack, currently £45 compared with RRP of £60.It’s a well-styled pack, with the visible outer made of a strong, attractive light grey fabric, plus a reflective strip across the middle. The bottom is made from a tough, resistant and probably waterproof black fabric, probably polyurethane; there’s no padding on it, but that doesn’t matter too much, as the bottom of the laptop compartment itself is padded. The straps are sturdy, straps with thick stitching. Despite the light weight, there is plenty of storage space. The main zip is flush with your back, and covered by a flap all the way round, which is how the security feature of “no front access” is achieved (contrast with most backpacks where the zip is halfway between front and back). There are, deliberately, no pockets at all on the front. Instead, there is a small zip pocket against the bottom of your back, big enough for a small tablet (or an assortment of smaller items), but almost invisible when you’re wearing the backpack. This pocket, like the top of the back and the shoulder straps, is well-padded.There is another small pocket on the very top, again facing into your back, ideal for an Oystercard/earphone/glasses, etc. It’s secure enough that no-one could open it without you noticing, but it’s also easily accessible for the user. There is a drink pocket on either side of the outer, made from elasticated mesh. There are two more drinks pockets in the corresponding positions inside, one mesh and the other fabric. The main fabric on the Inside is a pleasant neutral grey with a geometric pattern. All the seams of the inside pockets are lined with a striking blue, so that you can clearly see the edges of the pockets. The laptop pocket is flush with your back, and has a small velcro strap over the laptop pocket to ensure the laptop is secure. (Note, however, that this strap works only for a 14”; a 15.6” will fit snugly in the pocket, but comes too high up to use the strap – practically the only negative point for me.)Even when the main zip is fully open, the two sides of the pack are held together by a press-stud flap halfway down on either side, stopping the contents falling out when you open the pack; when required, you can undo these studs to fully open the backpack and lay it flat, allowing for easier strategic packing. As it says in the description, it has RFID protection, which sadly is a must these days. The zips are lockable with a padlock, which reduces the chance of theft even when the backpack is temporarily out of your sight, i.e . a thief would have to take the whole pack, not just take out the contents. And the panic whistle? It’s part of the moulding on one of the fasteners for the neck strap, and instantly accessible whether or not the strap is done up. An excellent idea. It’s not ear-piercing, but in an emergency it would help to attract attention/deter an assailant.

This is a good sized bag (15.6", 39.6cm) for a bigger lap top, but not the bag to choose if you have a ton of other 'life' to also fit in a bag.The bag is constructed in a quality grey woven fabric, feels shower proof. The main compartment is gusseted, but it's not wide. Will fit a chunky lap top, but not a lot else. There is an internal slightly padded open divider, bound at the top with a contrasting blue edge. This would fit a slim item, such as an A4 note pad or a tablet. On the outside is a zipped pocket which runs the full width of the bag, and is about 80% of the full depth. Inside are sewn a couple of slots for narrow items like pens, and a wider one which will take a small or medium phone. It takes my Samsung Note 8 with cover which is on the large size, but probably will not the largest phone handsets. This pocket would also take a tablet, or cables. The carry handles are fairly narrow, but padded and the bag comes with a detachable over the shoulder strap which clips on to plastic toggles at each side.My main gripe with the bag, and this is true for most computer bags (except those that are more akin to small carry on cases that fit in airline storage bins with a squeeze) is the lack of space for your power pack. UK plugs are chunky and although this will go in the bag if the lap top does not fill it end to end, there is often a protrusion around the bag.

I really like this bag as it is comfortable, stylish and extremely practical. The straps are nicely padded and allows for even spread of the internal weight to avoid neck and shoulder pain. There are several internal compartments including one for wallets / cards that prevents fraudsters scanning and cloning cards. The main feature which I think is great is the main zip being right next to your back. It is covered by a flap all the way round offering great security. The part of the bag next to your back is also very well padded allowing for full comfort. From my perspective, it works exactly as I need it to for commuting from home to the office. However, for people that need to take folders and a lot of paperwork,it may not work as well.

This is a well designed bag. It's light and comfortable to wear. There's no way to open it when you're wearing it as the zipper is at the back of the bag so you don't need to worry about someone on the train taking stuff out without you knowing it.The bag itself is big enough for travelling to/from work and even weekend trips. I can easily fit in my macbook pro 15" and some clothes. The bottom of the bag is hard shell so the bag stands up on its own. There are plenty of compartments so you can keep everything organised.

This is a pleasant bag for a larger sized laptop. It has a front zipped compartment with pen holders. Then the main compartment is split in half. It’s a pretty lightweight bag and offers reasonable protection but isn’t terribly well padded. There’s an optional should strap that you can attach and there is a carry handle. I like the silver/grey colour to it. I think for the £30-40 is perhaps a bit basic but a perfectly acceptable, nice looking larger bag.

This laptop bag is extremely lightweight and carries a limited lifetime guarantee from targus. It is well made and the grey colour makes it appealing for everyone wearing different outfit including students, professionals and ground workers. There are plenty of compartments Inside So to keep everything organized and your laptop safe with the added padded pocket. Probably the best value for money laptop bag on Amazon.5 stars

Great bag, easy to use and very good to have peace of mind that there aren’t loads of pockets accessible whilst on public transport etc. Could be more storeage compartments inside but it has a large space suitable for laptop and note book, bottle spare shoes and all the other crap I take around with me! Taller coffee cup for the external pockets is better by keep cup doesn’t really fit well.

Lovely smart looking laptop bag that has plenty of space for your laptop and essential accessories. Nice and lightweight so doesn’t add too much weight to all the kit you’re carrying but doesn’t feel flimsy. Well made and finished to perfection - as I’d expect with a Targus bag! Nice to get a bag in a different colour to the usual black.

This is a very good shoulder bag. I generally agree with the mass of reviewers so I won't bother repeating what they have said. This is somewhat pricey but you do get a few compartments and other things that you don't normally get so it might well be worth it for people who have to regularly commute or travel with their laptop.

As expected from Targus, this is a high quality product. Lightweight and a soft feel. Very simple - removable strap and grab handle. Main pocket has a simple divider and the front pocket is slim and zipped. That's it. Works well and is good value. I wouldn't use it with heavy laptops - it's quite a low cushioned bag.

This was bought to store my husband’s 11 inch iPad Pro. It is a plain (no pockets) well padded case with a soft lining. It is also large enough to accommodate the iPad with an Apple folio case. I have also previously purchased a larger size for my own 12.9 inch iPad Pro.

Only had it 6 months, very light use and one of the D rings on the arm strap has snapped in two. Great bag size but really poor structural integrity

20.9.2019

Fantastic bag, lots of space, good structure, and fits most 15.6 laptops (perhaps even a 17.3). Only downside is the lack of a usb charging output.
