I bought 3 different wax kits - all good ones, with excellent reviews. Simply comparing - this one is the best!Well, "best" - is a comparative grade. Still can be a question about how good it is and what are it's features. The answer is - it is actually very awesome!I first needed to figure out, how to use is efficiently, but after a while it gave excellent results! It is not that much of a pain,It really takes hair away effectively,Bikini area? - easily!I always find that underarms area is much more complicated - more pain, greater hair density per square inch. And with this wax I could finish it up! It was very wild, after a long shaving period, so it really took me about 2 hours, and I had to be patient. But I went through and found it easier, somewhat faster and even less painful, than if I would use electronic epilator. After that success, I tried it on my face. Can't tell how surprised I was! It takes away all that little hairs! Not that much of a pain - you just need to work on small area each time.I feel now that I finally found a solution for keeping all parts of my body free from that ugly annoying hairs! Wish I tried it earlier. Now buying a second jar! Here are some tips or techniques for better waxing. It should be hot and really liquid when you apply it - then it will take a lot of hairs. If it is so-so kind of worm - it will leave your hairs on their places. Here is the precaution not to get burns, so be careful. But I never got one, so far. Sometimes I have to microwave it longer than the time they suggest. I understand that it is my own risk then - but I feel like it is pretty easy to control and not to burn the skin.I found it best using wax with these strips - (Gigi Muslin Strips Small). I cut them according to the area to cover at one time, put some wax on it fast with applicator and apply to the skin immediately, not letting it cool down. Then I take it off, when fixed. Is solves 2 problems at once - area/shape control and dirts! I first started using it without strips and had it all on my fingers and a lot left on skin, which is hard to get rid of. With strips you mostly touch only the stripe, not the wax itself and it comes off clearly, all of it! The rule here is to apply it first on stripe then the stripe put on skin, and do it all fast - when still hot and liquid. Not vice versa, if you first apply on leg, then cover with stripe - the stripe will come off without wax. Wax-stripe connection will be not tight enough. Also it is less pain with strips - because it is easier to take off with one jerk.

I love this product and it makes the process of waxing so much easier for me.It might sound ridiculous to some, but the wax takes most of the pain away for me, as I used to use my epilator to tear my hair from the roots as I like the afterwards feeling..comparing with how it feels when I used to use the blade to shave there.. is much better. No hair feeling that lasts about 2 weeks for me and I wont ever go back to shaving as I cant stand the fact that the hair follicle grows thicker and faster and so on..So waxing is the best for me. At least I know I suffer for a short while and enjoy the benefits for an extended amount of time. Then to just shave every day and then get the itchy feeling when the hair grows back (which is immediately the next day).It is just awful. This wax is perfect for me. My only regret is that it does n`t come in a bigger container. I also like the fact that it includes the oil which I always use before waxing (for preventing the wax to stick to my skin too much..).A small tip that I would give for all the girls out there is: collect the sticks from ice cream (if you do indulge with an ice lolly that is..)I always wash them and keep them for my waxing process :)) It is a great way of not running without these things, as the wax comes only with two and I do throw them away after each use.And yes, I reheat mine and use this wax more than twice..because it is only me using this so I don't see any problem with this. Although I don't exaggerate using it over and over until the end of time..so I might say that maybe I reused my last one for about 7 times or so..after that..I had to order I new one :pSo yeah..my only complaint is that the container is not bigger than that. With me it takes about 1 hour or so to but this is only because of the wax`s temperature. It has to be warm and not too hot to be safely applied on my skin. And because of this I have to reheat it quite often and then wait to cool down if it has too, over and over, which slows the process down. But I am not bothered with this as I enjoy the benefits after. It is completely worth it!The secret is to have patience (not too burn yourself and to take the time to reheat it and wait until this cools down and is the appropriate temperature to go on your skin) and also to expect just a bit of pain (it is natural to hurt just a bit as you pull the hair from the roots).Good luck to you too! :)

When looking for bikini wax on Amazon, I was already sick of wax purchased online, as I had previously bought some roll-on wax on ebay that not only did not remove hair, but it also hurt like hell. (I really don't understand why) As you imagine, I was somewhat reluctant to buy the Surgi hard wax. When using it, however, things changed radically. The wax is absolutely amazing!! The label does not lie, that oil really makes it stick to hairs and not to skin! It is really easy to apply, it does not drip, it is almost impossible to burn yourself (if you follow the instructions), it removes hair perfectly... I really couldn't have asked for more. Many say it hurts less, and I have to admit that is true. However, that does not mean it doesn't hurt at all. There is plenty of pain, don't worry, but it gets better with time.I am absolutely thrilled with this wax. Admittedly, it would be rather expensive to buy enough to wax larger areas (legs, arms), but if used only for the bikini area it is really advantageous. I don't know what more to say about it, other than: follow the instructions word for word!! It says not to pull straight up, but back, and you should be really careful to do exactly that. My arm slipped and I accidentally pulled up, and although it removed all the hairs with no problem, I really bruised my skin. And I ended up walking like the geese in 'The Aristocats' for the next couple of hours. All in all, it is a wonderful product!! And it smells nice too! My boyfriend smelled it when I was heating it up and, not knowing it was wax, told me something smelled like 'chocolate and honey and cookies'. Ok, maybe it doesn't smell THAT good, but it is definitely nice. Use with confidence.

Having had years of Hollywood waxes, I decided to give it a go myself (£30 a month on a wax was draining me, haha). When i bought this product I hadn't yet invested in a wax heater (which I now have, due to the success of this wax!), so was happy to find out it could be popped in the microwave. the instructions for heating are a little off, it took me around 2 minutes 30 seconds to melt the wax into a honey-like texture.Once melted, the wax smelt nice and subtle and came with handy wooden spatulas to apply which were very useful. It also comes with a pre-wax oil which was wonderful, and walk-through instructions on conducting a Hollywood wax; very helpful if you're a newbie. The wax dried quick and when the time came it rip it off, it flicked up nicely at the edges and came off in one nice neat piece, taking all the hair with it and being surprisingly painless! A lot less painful than my beautician! I used around half the tub in one wax.Very impressed with the finish, the hair was removed with no issues and the wax worked wonderfully. Had a new issues with it not quite drying, but I think that was more me being impatient waiting for it to dry. Only improvement I could suggest is to include a small bottle of post-wax oil to remove all the of excess wax left on after. Overall, very impressed with this wax, did the job perfect and now I only ever do my own Hollywood waxes.

I like the result. Clean smooth skin for a whole week. Never used wax before. I wanted to use something effective and professional for my first time.I used it for my bikini line and armpits. This is pretty effective. I follow all the directions. Applied the oil included. Not too much, just enough to protect the skin from the wax sticking to it. No need to worry the oil will keep the hair to stick to the wax. It really is trap by it. I was afraid to burn my skin so I did not warmed up the wax as much as it is needed. Getting the wax as liquid as possible results in getting it closer to the skin and getting a better hold of the hair. By the way, if you can have you microwave close to you, do it.Be ready to reheat many times. Talking about pain. I was really ready to suffer, but I was surprised that if the wax is liquid enough it works much better. Apply in the direction of the hair growth, wait a bit and pull as close to the skin as possible. Apply pressure - which did not made so much sense to me before... but some how calms the skin. Then I applied oil tea to the area and every night a solution to prevent ingrown hair. This is needed just as if you were shaving....I am expecting that if I keep using it the waxing will last longer.

I dont normally review online but I think everyone needs to try this!I've read all the negative reviews on here and have to say, I dont know where people are coming from.Except for the time it states on the box for it to heat up is wrong, granted. It does need alot more than 1 minute. Once you've figured that out, it's pretty easy. I've been to various salons to have all areas of my body wax, so when I used it i mimicked methods they use.It is somewhat stringy when youre applying the wax...all wax is! I dont think this is a downfall. And it is really easy to pick off. I saw someone had said it was like chewing gum?? It's not at all! It dries hard, and it's only when you wait until it's completely hard that you should stretch the skin out as much as possible, and pull it away. This stuff works if you get your directions right, ie apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth and pull it back from the opposite direction, as waxing should be.The oil that comes with it is also sufficient at preventing the wax from pulling at the skin. You may have to practice until you get your technique right, but it's worth it for the price you pay compared to in a salon!

I used this on my eyebrows and my underarms so far. It takes a little getting used to. I think the trick is to get it at just the right consistency because when it is, it's not too drippy to work with, not too messy to manage, and not too hot on your skin. The problem with that is that it only stays at that temperature for a short amount of time--and I live in a warm climate. BUT, when it is right, it goes on easily and doesn't hurt coming off at all. I spend over $100 every month waxing head to toe in a salon. This will definitely save me some money and allows me to do touch ups in between at home and I SWEAR it doesn't hurt! Having it done professionally hurts some depending on the areas waxed,of course. I didn't even feel this at all. It was crazy. And it was very effective. I've used Sally Hansen over-the-counter wax strips which HURT immensely and were terribly ineffective. I was amazed at how this pulled hair straight up from the root (I could see the ball at the tip!) and there was very little or no tweezing necessary afterward. If there was, it was because I missed the spot. Awesome product...highly recommend it.

I've been using this for the past 2 years, time to write a review! The wax is greenish in colour and comes in a round container designed to be heated in the microwave, alongside 2 small spatulas, instructions, and a pre-epilation oil. The container is great, has a good handle and does not get hot in the microwave, so the wax is easy to carry around. The oil is absolutely lovely, you use it before epilating to make sure the wax does not stick to your skin and comes off cleanly when you pull it. You can use the oil after epilating as well to remove any bits of stray wax, if any. The instructions I thought were really, really useful, the only correction I have is the amount of time the wax needs in the microwave.Following them I managed to do the job first try, not having done it before. Make sure you sit on something to catch any drips and at the end dispose of all the used wax (it's a pain to remove from the carpet...). When I started using it, I used the entire tub and it took a bit over an hour, these days I use half a tub each time and it takes me about 20-30 minutes. The results are perfect each time.

I was sceptical at the beginning. The wax took longer to reheat than the instruction read. I started at 1 min and kep adding 30 seconds, checking the wax each time. I think it finally melted at 2.30 min... It smelled too strong and was too liquid, and I wasn't sure the greenish color was right. I let it sit for 2-3 minutes, the texture became a bit thicker.Removing hair was easy and painless! I think you need to remember to stretch the skin and pull the wax strip in the opposite direction of hair growth. Since I did waxing myself for the first time, I just tried to recall how a salon lady did it. It took 30 minutes. I reheated the jar once.Pre-depilation: The cap fell off the little bottle (probably, during shipping idk) so I had only a drop of the pre-epilation gel left. I recommend trimming the hair before waxing. After epilation: I wish I'd bought some after epilation lotion or wipes.... The skin felt sticky. I let it calm down for about half an hour, then took warm shower and used a little bit of unscented green tea toner.

I do not review products at random, not unless I’m very dissatisfied to warn other consumers, or I’m very impressed, which in this case I very much am. I don’t understand what the negative reviews are about. These people probably never had Brazilian wax done. Of course it hurts. Let me tell you, as somebody who hurts paying the bill than the actual waxing itself, this product is the bomb! I’m a little skeptical in the beginning because I’m so use to paying astronomical fees for waxing, so how can a cheap jar of wax compare? Stacks up to professional waxing, I’m so happy I found this product. Take a shower, wait for your hooha to dry completely, I waited 10 minutes. Put a thin coat of the included oil, heat the jar in the microwave for a minute. Slather small patches, and do not wait for the wax to harden, it will hurt like a mother. I only waited for about 5-7 seconds until the wax is no longer sticking then pull. Glorious patches of hair will come out and your privates will feel so smooth and hair free. I am very very happy!

I bought this for my gf as an alternative to shaving and at first she was apprehensive but when we tried it we found that it was extremely easy to use. Obviously it hurts as much as normal waxing but the fact that there is no need for muslin strips makes the whole process much quicker, less messy, and relatively painless. We found that this pot despite being quite small was more than adequate for the entire area with even some left over. Though not enough for another go, the price I paid for this is more than acceptable for one pot a time as it's much cheaper than a salon and probably less embarrassing too. A word of warning though, make sure you do read the instructions as to heating times and check before you apply.Microwaves do vary and I needed to decrease the stated time heating for mine as the wax was far too hot at first.Generally, a great buy and so easy to use that even I could use it for the areas my gf couldn't reach. A must have for the summer.

I loved this wax kit, having only ever tried soft waxes before that were useless I wasn't very optimistic that hard wax would work for me either. So I bought this small microwave kit before investing in a proper wax heater. It was amazing pulled every hair it came into contact with first time, and with the use of a little oil provided it really doesn't stick to the skin. In fact I didn't even look like a plucked chicken for a few hours and nor did I have any of the usual grazes and stinging I have after having it done at a salon.Only down side is that you have to keep heating the wax every few minutes, otherwise it become too thick and you waste loads.I tried heating it and putting it in a bowl of boiling water to see if it kept it's heat longer but it didn't.This wax is fantastic my only wish is that it came in a format you could use with a wax heater so you could get the job done in one go. The heating issue is the only reason not 5 stars!

This is by far the least painful waxing I've ever had! When I used it for the first time, it was a little messy, in that it got stuck to my finger nails, but that washed of with warm water and a little rub with the oil provided. YOU MUST USE THE OIL on the area you intend to wax otherwise it doesn't work as well and you'll have little bits of wax left on your skin that are not that easy to remove - rub some on your hands as well.I couldn't believe how virtually painfree it was as the wax pulls only the hair and not the skin. Make sure, if you can, that you apply it so the end you have to flick up to pull is not over hairs - that makes it a bit tricky but it's easy once you get the hang of it - and don't leave it on to go hard...that DOES hurt! When you have microwaved it, stand it in a shallow bowl of hot water (hand hot) whilst you work as it helps it to stay soft for longer.I'm a true convert and will never use another product again!

First time using Surgi Wax, I usually use Veet but as it was cheaper I thought I'd give it a try. Don't pay attention to the reviews that say that it's a mess, it's too sticky, it drips everywhere, it doesn't work, it's too painful, etc. This is in no manner rocket science but you kind of have to know what you are doing, you need to know what the right temperature is to scoop the wax up, how to turn the stick on itself when bringing the wax towards your skin so it doesn't drip all over, how to apply and distribute, how much to apply and how to pull it off. Do some online tutorials and give it a go on a less sensitive area first so you get a hang of it. Then go to your privates and you'll be alright. The wax works perfectly fine, it has the right consistency, pulls the hair from the root on one go and it's the normal amount of discomfort expected when waxing that area, all as expected.
