Both our cats are chipped and enjoying their freedom with the Sureflap, so theoretically I don't need these BUT, I've got no way of testing the Sureflap unless I grab one of our cats & shove it through! They would NOT be amused I'm sure at such undignified treatment!Enter these Sureflap collar tags. I've put one on a key ring fob and after registering the tag with the Sureflap it works a treat for testing purposes. With the tag in my hand I just put my hand into the tunnel and click! The lock opens confirming the flap is working ok.Looking at how well the tag works in my tests, it should work very well for any unchipped cat or a cat whose chip has moved or failed (it happens!)

I rate the microchip Sure Flap cat flap as 'five star'! It is certainly keeping unwanted cats out of the house. I am really pleased! Unfortunately my microchipped cat is not always getting through. This is not a problem with the cat flap but rather a problem with my cat!! He tries to open the flap with his paws rather than his head (it is a bit difficult to explain this to him and he hasn't read the instruction leaflet!!). In desperation I have ordered the RFID tags so that he will get twice the opportunity of triggering the cat flap (including the microchip). Hopefully this will enable him to get through successfully! Once again, I really want to stress that the Sure Flap cat flap is an excellent product and certainly worth the investment.

We recently purchased the Sureflap Microchip Cat Flat to replace a magnetic 'key' flap that was useless at keeping the neighbourhood feral toms out of the house, as the lock mechanism could easily be bashed open by a determined cat.We have two cats. Unfortunately for one her microchip placement (experimenting with the cat flap suggests it's near her tail!) is not right to operate the SureFlap, the other was fine. Sureflap were kind enough to provide a pack of collar tags for free to allow her access and we purchased another set from Amazon as spares. No problems they work as they should, and our house stinking of cat spray problem is resolved, as the SureFlaps lock is way more robust than cheaper cat flaps out there..

our cat who is chipped seemed to be having trouble opening our sureflap. it would open but if he didnt go through immediately it would then lock and then his chip wouldnt reopen it. So he lost faith in the door and was meowing outside.We bought these partly to test the sureflap which confirmed it was installed and working finealso now our cat has one of these on his collar as well as his internal chip, not really sure what is working but it definately opens the flap now.... job donehe has another tag on his collar, metal one which has his name and address on, this doesnt affect the sureflap chip at all,

Having used a sure flap cat flat for 7 years I just upgraded to the duelscan, my cat was really struggling to get out as the duel scan also scans on the way out to unlock. Not sure if my cats chip has maybe slipped though the chip has been in him for almost 11 years. I bought these and paired them with my flap first then put on my cats collar, within 2 minutes the cat walked up to the flap it unlocked and out he went. He has also been back in and out again many times today, I think he's just checking for his self that's everything is back to normal.

I have the new dualscan flap and although the cat is used to getting back in using her chip she was having some problems getting used to going out (the dualscan reads the chip to let the cat out as well) and you can't prop the door open with the dualscan. So after trying to shove her though stressed us both out I programmed up one of these so that I could open the flap for her.Now she has learned to get herself out but I can keep them for testing the flap.

Some success withe these RFID keys, they work well on my SureFlap microchip cat feeder but not on the PetSafe Petporte Smart Flap Microchip Cat Door - as that needs RFID codes with 15 characters not 10.Useful for opening the bowl without messing with the buttons, and may add to cat's collar - as occasionally has issues making it open.Unfortunately I can't use it to test the Cat Flap is working - without posting a cat through the opening ;^)

We brought these in conjunction with the Sureflap Microchip Cat flap.Took a long time to arrive, as delivery date was altered.Programming them is so simple. One of our cats, who had never worn a collar, has had no problems with wearing a collar and the disc or using the cat flap. The other cat, who always used to have a collar, has lost three collars, two discs and is scared of the cat flap!!

After suffering for months with a Sureflap that didn't read my cats chip and contemplating surgery on my cat to replace the chip, I was made aware of the tags. My cat and I are so happy not to have strange cats and another strange cat giving birth in my property. I can see my cat now return to his former stress free self. What a wonderful product and a super quick service!!!! Thank you :-)

One of my cats chips wasn't registering properly with my cat flap as he is a bit on the small size meaning only one of my cats could come in. Decided to give this a shot and it works like a charm! The Cat Mate brand tag looks huge while the sure flap tag is much smaller and it comes in a pack of 2. I highly recommend this if you're having issues with a microchip cat flap

Do the job as unfortunately the dual flap doesn't work so good with our cat's internal rfid chip... maybe because she has had it a long time being old.. not sure! Only criticism.. a little large which could make sleeping uncomfortable sometimes... so I sometimes remove the collar indoors. Perhaps it needs to be large to work though!!

After a lot of problems trying to get the cat flap to recognise our cats microchip we were giving up but we were still having problems with intruder cats. These were the last resort and work amazingly attached it to my cats collar and the cat flap recognises it every time.Would definitely recommend to anyone else having problems.

Works really well with the cat flap that we bought! That way you don't have to key in the microchip information of your pet. You would have an extra chip that allows you to open and close the flap if you wanted to give your cat helping hand, especially in the beginning when they're learning how to use it.

The SureFlap cat door we bought has been the best we have had and we have tried a few, the rf tags are very thin unlike some of the other brands, I would recommend it to any serious cat owner who allows the cats outside,The door can also be set to work on a cats that are chipped rather than use a tag.

I recently bought a sureflap and sadly one of my cats microchips are too far back so it doesn't work. So I put this on her and works perfectly. I have the one with the app so can track perfectly both my cats behaviour going in and outdoors. It's not too big. Only wish they came in other colours
