Superhot VR is as close to being in the film The Matrix as it’s currently possible to get. You are ‘uploaded’ into the world where you find yourself rooted to a spot in an environment with assassins who are intent on killing you. The entire game world is made up of white, red, and black. The backgrounds are white, the assassins are red, while all the guns and throwing objects are black. Superhot’s unique gameplay mechanic is that time only moves when you do. So, as you reach for that all-important gun or knife on a table beside you, so too do the assassins move, raising their guns and trying to outflank you. The whole game, which is pretty much experienced in slow motion, has a unique puzzle-solving element,as you must decide when and how fast to move, what weapons you’re going to pick up when you do, and in what order you’re going to take the assassins down. A Matrix element comes into play, as when weapons are fired, the bullets only continue their trajectory through the air when you move. So, you’ll find yourself leaning slowly left and right, dodging bullets and observing them as they move past your head. The only real negative with Superhot is how you must restart from the beginning of a level whenever you die. This usually means being sent back to repeat the same stages time and time again. In a nutshell, the game’s save points are very unforgiving.Graphics and soundThe simple red, white, and black graphics look nice, and the sounds, while minimal, do a good job of grounding you in the world.ControllersSuperhot can only be played using the Move Controllers.Motion sicknessThe stationary nature of Superhot means that motion sickness should not be an issue.Verdict: 9.5 out of 10.Review taken from:

Ever wanted to be Neo in the Matrix? Well I mean the cool bits not the floppy hair melancholic look... This is the game, I'm sure you must have read some reviews or seen footage so I won't go into the game itself other than to say its one of those games that within 5 minutes you are laughing at how amazing it is, how much fun you are having and then you get shot in the face and start again...and all the time your mates are telling you to hurry up and die because they want a go. Test of a good game is when even non gamers remark how much fun it is - and this is that game.. There's no blood and guts, its more cartoon violence and after I finish writing this I'm going to fire up and have another go now I've finished the main missions!(top tip, if you put the wrong disc in the PC, just put the correct one in before you put the VR headset on - this will make sense once you've played it)

So far, I've only played a few levels, just because of time, but up to now I absolutely love this game! Transported into a different reality, where time stands still (until you move) and you get a sense of what it's like to be in a Matrix style movie. Flying bullets, punches, throwing objects. All can be slowed down to avoid damage, but then you have to be quick to work out your next move, because one hit and you're down. I'm quite new to VR, and I know it's been out a few years now but it's a lot of fun and I can't wait to play more. Motion controllers are the only way to play this game, giving you the freedom to move around.

If my daughter could rate this she would give the game 5 stars but for the price I thought it would of been a longer game. My daughter really enjoyed the game and has played it several times already....but that’s the problem she completed the game in a day (couple hours) It just felt like more levels could be added. Not a bad game for what it is I’m just a cheap a** mum expecting more for the price.

I have absolutely loved playing this game since i bought it. I understand it came out a while back on VR for the Oculus so is not as polished as newer PSVR games it does glitch out quite a bit however because of the physicality of the game has become my new favorite workout! Think of being in the Matrix and fighting like Neo is pretty awesome I'm hoping they bring out more titles like this.

Probably one of the best PSVR games available. Simple but effective graphics. Simple controls - fiendishly hard levels at times. You need quite a lot of space for this game so clear your furniture out of the way otherwise you'll end up with a smashed knuckle like I did !Oh - and it's exhausting too :)

The game puts you in the skin of someone with super-human reflexes so you can see for yourself what's it like to dodge bullets, or slice them in half or kill someone only to snatch their weapon mid-air or dual-wield guns with actual precision.A unique experience as far as I know.

I HAVE PLAYED THEM ALL , BUT ... THIS ONE IS THE MOST FUN I'VE EVER PLAYED! IN OR OUT OF VIRTUAL REALITY, THIS IS AWESOME! JUST LIKE BEING IN THE MOVIE THE MATRIX AND THE MOVIE WANTED WITH ANGELINA JOLIE !!! IF YOU LIKE TARGET PRACTICE, YOU'LL FALL IN SUPERHOT LOVE !!!!!!!

Excellent game. Simple yet challenging gameplay that makes you smile. Time only moves when you move, dodge bullets, return fire, grab and throw objects. Plenty of replay-ability. Basic stylised blocky graphics, but this suits the game well. Absolutely top banana.

SuperHot is quite hard to control and throw the object which is very crucial for pass the game. I do not sure that because I have not practice the throwing action good enough or the game play is not good enough. Not sure. You may have to try it yourself.

Probably my best VR game after having owned it for almost 2 years.Easy to pick up, but hard to master.Simple graphics are a +ve, not a -ve.Still going cheaply, if you have PSVR get this game, you won't regret it.

This game is basic but very addictive & great fun!You can slow down time like the matrix style to dodge and manoeuvre around a barrage of weapons used against you.Impressive gameplay, Highly recommended.

Best game on PSVR I currently own! It's good to have a clear playing area as I've accidentally punched my furniture a few times. Worth the price for sure and it's a great use of the move controllers

So immersive. The most fun I've had with PSVR. Such a simple interface, but the gameplay is a work of genius, and the mechanics a joy to execute. Totally suckered me into the virtual world.

Like being in the Matrix. Dodging bullets from all angles and taking advantage of the slow mo. Frustrating at times, but challenging and was the game that got me hooked on VR.
