Living on the west coast of Scotland I wanted a reliable umbrella to take with me on my twice daily dog walks. I have tested this umbrella in torrential rain and strong swirling and blustery winds and am amazed at just how well it has coped.I would have given this a 5 star rating were it not for the handle which I personally find very uncomfortable. It appears that the handle has been designed to be comfortable when holding in the vertical position and when held in that position it is ok-ish, but other than that I cannot find a comfortable position. Angled against the rain direction I find it uncomfortable and when carrying it folded in the walking stick position I find it extremely annoying as the sharp edges dig in to my palm.

This is a very large umbrella (larger than I was expecting) and great for it.It's sturdy and easy to use, both in putting up and taking down again. The catch mechanism is simple and strong.It's also been doing great work in keeping me dry through the wind and rain we're currently experiencing.While I'm seeing plenty of umbrellas being ripped inside out and abandoned over the past few days, I've had no hint of trouble with mine.The slats in the panels also help to pass air through the umbrella and reduce the pressure, so you don't feel the gusts as strongly through to the handle.Would definitely recommend and great value for the money.

The Fulton Stormshield is very good except for the fact that the plastic surrounding the metal rivets is too thin - and thus the plastic snaps around the rivets, making the umbrella useless - as the spokes are then broken and hang downwards. The Sun Mountain is much stronger and better designed all round. My Fulton has lasted about 5 months and I'm expecting the Sun Mountain to last for 10x longer. As they are both similarly priced - there is no doubt in my mind as to which to choose. The Fulton was a gift and not of my choosing.

This is a good umbrella as far as I can see, however there is a warning, do not be misled by the manufacturer's description that the size is 62". It may be possible to prove the circumference measures 62" but the diameter, which I think is implied in the description is closer to 52". I would not have bought this item if I had known. Need to be more careful in future, assuming this is possible, given the way the manufacturers can take liberties if they choose, in my opinion.

I didn't buy this for golf, but purely as a substantial umbrella to protect me 100% in the downpours that we are suffering at the moment. It is perfect for that purpose, and seems to offer good protection when it's windy too. It is comfortable to carry, and ideal if you are walking with a child who also needs to be under the same umbrella. Nice looking and easy to put up as well.

The umbrella perfoms it's function quite well, it looks good not too loud, it is easy to open and close also fits the tube on my trolley, and it came well packedThe price was good but I did'nt highlight the correct icon for free delivery, so I did'nt have quite the bargain I had expected.All in all I am happy with the item and the service.

After some online research this appeared to be a good compromise between price and specification, and so it has turned out.It operates very smoothly and is sturdy and not heavy. Have not yet tested in a strong wind but use so far has been very satisfactory. I am about to get another to have one in the car and one in the house!

Problem with all umbrellas - particularly big ones like this one, is they are prone to being blown inside out in relatively minor winds. The Sun Mountain has vents to allow wind to blow through meaning it will cope with winds other brollies can't. Mine lives in the back of my car so I am never caught out. Brilliant.

Got this this morning. Delivery took four days which is not bad for a free delivery. It's big and smooth at popping open and a breeze to close. Also, it seems very sturdy and very well made. I didn't want to get it wet! Best big Brolly I have ever owned so it's a keeper. Shame I'm gonna get it wet sometime.

only bought it and long and behold 1st game of golf and it pours down and the wind blow's strong!! this great size umberella held up no problems what so ever slick release button and easier fold away comes with a cover and highly recoomend this it cover me and my 3 boys!!! a must buy.

I have used a Sun Mountain golf stand bag for a couple of years ,and this brolley is the same top quality and if it serves me as well as their bag i will be more than pleased.Sun Mountain tends to be slightly more expensive than some golf brands but it is top quality equipment.

Fantastic umbrella! I brought this for my husband to take to golf but it's ended up as "the family umbrella for very windy, rainy days". Its really strong and so far has never blown inside out. Would definitely recommend.

My husband is delighted with this very sturdy golf umbrella. It has been tested in very high winds and has not been found wanting. If you are looking for a gift for a golfer then this is just what you want!

My first one purchased at a golf store was stolen. I was so happy to find the same model available on Amazon. Good quality feel and subtle graphics make this a great brolly for the businessman or golfer.

Seems to be well made on first impressions. Auto-open mechanism is a very handy feature and makes it stand out from previous umbrellas I have owned. Not had a chance to put it to a proper test as yet.
