Bought last Christmas for my nephew who has been a Star Wars fanatic since the 1970s. He absolutely loves it and has asked us to order another one this year for his little boy.This is an 'officially' licensed product and I think that shows in the quality because this little ceramic R2-D2 egg cup is nicely modelled and painted. Plenty big enough for a large sized boiled egg. Easy to clean and machine washable. Stands firmly on its own but you do need to hold onto it so it doesn't wobble around in use. So far the decorative finish hasn't flaked or peeled. Not recommended for children under 4 years.If I'm going to be really picky, and this is the reason I've left 4* rather than 5*,

I like R2-D2 and it feel nice holding, its well crafted but the top head is not stable when put on the whole body, it shakes around when you move the body and the head could fall off. its made of glass so it could break if it fall off. that's the disappointing part but I guess ill just keep it in the cupboard for the show cos it look great. Price is also disappointment considering the unstable head part.would have give it 5 stars had there been no such issues.speedy delivery, well packed.

... and there's not much more to say really as it's an egg cup that looks like R2D2, and that's exactly what it is! Pretty awesome though I have to admit. Bought this for my 7 year old as a Xmas present, and he loves it. Great gift for a Star Wars fan like him. Seems really well made, not a cheap cash in, solid, sits well without wobbles, and, um, holds an egg whilst you eat it. Looks great on the shelf with the lid on, and works as an egg cup. What more can I say?!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and detail of R2D2 it's a very sturdy and strong China egg cup (one of/if not the strongest I have seen) I bought as a gift and the person loved it and relegated his Marmite egg cup to use this instead! The top piece is a lovely little touch and acts as a way to keep dust and crumbs out of where the egg sits when not in use!

My partner is a mad star wars fan and a great lover of yolkey eggs, so this is the perfect gift for him. The egg cup is a little bigger than expected, but this is not a negative point. A must have for any star wars fan.

I bought this as a gift for my wife and she loved it. The only reason I wouldn't give this the full 5 stars is that the lid does not fit securely on to the body when not in use. Rather, it balances on a thin lip.

Nicely sculpted, well paintedMy only negative comment is that you need to show some care with the lid as it comes off very very easily and being made of the material that it is could be dropped and broken

Great design, good quality ceramic. My only quibble is that the lid falls off too easily, it could use a deeper ridge to keep it secure when not in use. I put a piece of masking tape on it inbetween uses.

Bought as a birthday present for a young chap who I've since discovered doesn't like eggs...ah well he likes Star Wars and I'm pretty sure he likes chocolate, so I'm sure he'll find a use for it!

tHIS IS A GOOD BUY AS A PRESENT FOR MY GADGET-MAD GROWN UP SON. Delivery was prompt, well packaged and the egg cup is solid and good quality in construction.

Good looking R2D2 egg cup. Perhaps a bit big. The cap doesn't stay on properly, the rim is too shallow, making the cap falls down easily.

Adorable! Got this for my boyfriend. Egg cup is very sturdy and weighted. Not at all cheap looking. Very pleased with it. Grab one!

Good product for a Star Wars fan. It's quite chunky and not the most reasonably priced egg cup but good novelty present
