In the first instance, this is a good size. A standard 250g block of butter fits comfortably inside and has several mm clearance between the top of the butter and the inside of the lid. Some butter dishes are not tall enough.The ridge around the base, where the lid sits, is big enough that if the butter slides as you drag a knife across it, the butter remains safely on the base.It also feels sturdy and sits comfortable in one of the door compartments of my fridge if wanted.I am very pleased with it.

I used to have a clunky, heavy butter dish made of ceramics and it chipped soon with a bit of wear and tear. This one however, is light and tough. So pleasant to hold and to use. Easy to clean in the dishwasher or by hand. Holds a standard 250g block of butter from the supermarket perfectly. I mean, yes it's only a butter dish, but it's been a godsend. I cannot believe how tricky it can be to find one that just works without hassle.

This lightweight butter dish has a clear lid that sits around a small rim, so it can’t slip off and I can easily see how much butter is left. It is in my fridge door, holds a standard 250g block of butter and can be lifted out one handed by the end lip of the dish. AND, it has little non slip feet under the dish, so it ‘stays put’ on kitchen surfaces and the fridge shelf. Perfect!

I AM OVER THE MOON WITH THIS NEAT AND WELL MADE BUTTER DISH I HONESTLY DID NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH AS IT WAS SO LOW IN PRICE.I NORMALLY HAVE CHINA DISHES BUT WE ARE FOREVER DROPPING THEM ON OUR TILED FLOOR.BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I ARE OVER 80 AND HAVE PROBLEMS TO GRIP THINGS I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE CHINA ONES AGAIN AS THIS LOOKS SO EXPENSIVE.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT

I bought this as a replacement for a porcelain one ( I nudged it and it smashed into tiny pieces. I bought it as a put - me - on until I find another on. This one looks so nice, it’s light and robust and matches My Kitchen. I won’t be looking for another one as this one fits the bill. I’m so pleased with it, and I don’t think it can be beaten on the price.

Nice butter dish, looks pretty smart. Only small drawback is that the plastic is a little bit susceptible to being chipped. I cut some butter for my toast this morning, and inadvertently slipped my knife, taking a small piece of plastic of the base. Bit of a shame.

Great product, much exceeded expectations in terms of value for money! Dishwasher safe, well sealed to keep butter fresh, arrived on time and in good packaging. Perfect for 250g of butter. The nonslip feet are a great feature. Glad I ordered two!

Very sturdy with non slip pads on base. Fits normal size 250g pack of butter without the lid touching it. Looks really smart on the table. Says it's suitable for dishwasher but haven't tried that yet. Very pleased so far

I purchased a white metal butter dish and liked it instantly. It is made of sturdy material (melamine) and will look good on the table for a long time. Its simplicity is the best feature and I recommend it thoroughly.

Really impressed with my new butter dish, something I’ve not had for years. So good to have a non slip base as it was something I hadn’t considered but as you can imagine is really helpful when you go to use it.
