I bought this to replace my trusty old Curver toolbox which I used to carry screwdrivers and stuff about in.The Curver was a good size for screwdrivers, basic and extremely tough. Lasted me for over 15 years when I accidentally dropped a heavy object on the handle from a hight. I started out looking for something as nearly identical as possible. After much research I plumped for the Stanley.It isn’t us quite tough as my old box (& none of the boxes I found were), but it is tough enough - surprisingly it survived my determined efforts to force it closed with the tray in the wrong position.It is bigger - but still reasonably compact & I welcome the extra space.The storage flaps at the top which I didn’t want have proved surprisingly handy for storing beeswax,

I looked in well-known D-I-Y superstores and online to see what was on the market. I liked the idea of a separate inside tray so that all the small things do not go into the general box. Many of the tray designs did not locate securely in the top of the box, and fell inside. I have found that the tray on this box does not easily sit into the little lugs at the back of the box - it is quite annoying to get it into place properly. Just needs a design improvement.I am also concerned about the flaps on the box-top containers opening too easily and spilling out their contents - but this has not happened.But the single clasp, generous size,

I have two of these boxes,I use one to store my electrical tools, and one for my plumbing tools. Keeps them organised and together,and hey are just the right size for that. The storgae compartment are useful for small bits (fuses, tape, screws, washers, PTFE tape etc.).The open touch opening is great, so much more convienient than the standard latches and very secure, latching closed automatically when you close it.THe little tote tray can be a little annoying if it's not put back in the right place. But I leave mine out now anyway, I find it more useful to just have the one compartment with all my tools accessible.

I was a little disappointed that it’s smaller than I expected in regards to depth so it’s not going to hold a great deal but definitely enough to hold your basic tools.Another thing I’m not happy with is the top sections on the lid, the one on the right doesn’t stay closed. When you lift the lid the cover pops open so if you decide to put bits inside it they are just not going to hold so that won’t ever get used. The overall quality of the tool box feels good and sturdy and the one touch opening is of a good standard. If it wasn’t for the two negatives I would have given it full stars.

Been using this box for a while now and it's very good. Feels robust and the lid is one handed operation as advertised. My only gripe is that the tray inside is a little bit tricky to get exactly in place and if there is something ever so slightly too big or not quite flat enough in the tray, the top doesn't close down.Handy separate compartments in the lid for all those little nuts and bolts keeps the rest of it nice and tidy.The tray sits slightly to the back, so you can pop small items straight in the bottom without lifting the tray out, which is convenient.

I was going to buy the 16" but discovered a couple of drills and other tools when I was clearing out my father's house, so changed it to this 24" monster. It's HUGE, and when you fill it with tools it becomes heavy. It's got a good strong handle and you can open it with one hand when you are carrying tools in the other. There is a tray inside for screwdrivers & things and little compartments on the lid for screws, nuts, bolts etc.Great quality and well worth the money if you have a lot of tools.

Great tool box as one touch is really useful when you have one had full when going to the van or wherever you keep it. The compartments on top are great for screws and nails etc and it's a great size for keeping a fair amount of tools. Use it all the time now and use it to step on sometimes which hasn't damaged it at all, I only weigh about 9 stone though lol.

For a long time I had a metal toolbox with a cantilevered top. Unfortunately, the handle joint rusted and broke as I lifted it down off a shelf, resulting in a chipped shinbone.This box is robust and has adequate storage for small tools - pliers, screwdrivers, small saws and knives. The two containers in the lid are very handy for screws, etc.

I brought this for my husband and he was really pleased with it! There's plenty of room in the main compartment with the addition of a tray on the inside with a further two storage compartments on the outside of the lid , one hand opening and space to put a sturdy pad lock.The delivery was super fast too :)

The box is not so big, and the top tray must stay in a specific position or the lid won't close properly. I'd rather have some better arranged box on the lid, but the box overall is solid and good, and I'm going for another - bigger - one of the same type soon, as i loved the one-gesture opening.

I also own the smaller 16 inch version but this one is significantly larger inside and better value if you need the space.Very well made.I love the OneTouch opening. Secure/solid when closed and easy to open one handed. Just drop the lid and pickup via the handle. No latches etc to close.

Great latch action, nice size (bought as a house/project tool box rather than a main one). Very happy.For those who found it difficult, the tray sits at the back of the main compartment so that you can put tools back without removing the tray. It could not be simpler.

Was looking for a robust tool box for my new tools which would fit in a cupboard I have in my property.. This fitted perfecting and gave me loads of space for my tools and had some great extra features too.. Would recommend to anyone who wants quality at a good price..

This is a nice toolbox for the money.I gave it 5* for sturdiness taking into account it is plastic. This is not a 'mechanics' box for instance but great for storing household 'tools'I love the OneTouch opening. Secure/solid when closed and easy to open one handed.

Decent tool box, used it for 10 months but decided it is too small. It can be awkward to close if you put too many tools in it and occasionally it jammed shut because of this but I always managed to open again after a bit of effort.
