I bought this as a fathers day gift for my husband. He loves it and has put all his tools in it and there is still plenty of space. It is made of galvanised metal and is 23 inches in length. It is slightly stiff when closing it but I hope that is a sign that it is strong and toughIt is made by Stanley which is one of the reasons I bought this make, my dad used to have one that looked very similar and he had it for years.I also know my husband has lots of Stanley tools so it is a reputable brand.I will probably come back to this review at some later date but for now it seems great and although it sadly doesn't get used as much as I would likek him to use it :-))it does seem like a very hardwearing and good size toolbox.

Pleased with this sturdy box,it has the advantage over many other tool boxes of this type that the walls do not taper and make the base of the box a lot smaller than the top. This means one can get bigger items comfortably seated at the bottom. Construction is solid partly due to the metal wall construction. In fact it so strong that I tried standing my dainty 15st on it and it did not flinch! (Not that I am recommending this). The included tote tray is a bit flimsy and reduces the height of items you can get into the box, it all depends what you are going to use the box for.Excellent product at £20 delivered.

Prior to purchasing I was concerned about few reviews complaining about the force required to lock and unlock the catches that keep this tool box closed. Granted, it does take a degree of force to open and close the toolbox, however, if you have a fair few kilos of tool in the box you don't want the clips to fail and the contents to spill out.Well designed, good value and I really can't fault it.

Good sturdy tool box, I abuse my tools and this is holding up perfectly, the two catches are big and sturdy (and usually the first thing to go on my tool boxes), the hinge on lid is super sturdy, would definitely recommend (i'm a bricklayer by the way).

Good sturdy toolbox. I like that the sides are square, meaning the inside space doesnt taper towards the bottom. It seems strong - I'm a big bloke and can sit/stand on it without fear of it giving way. Nice strong catches too.

Bought this to store a reciprocal saw and it is perfect for the task. Handy tray for storing blades and useful to have the grooves for pipe cutting on the lid. Seems very solid and is good value.

Great product , strong build , great for holding all my old screwdrivers and surplus tools , great buy , will buy again when the recession price comes my way again, chris .

Sturdy. Would have given it 5 stars but the nested tray inside it keeps falling into the main compartment — I think it's slightly too narrow.

It holds all my essential tools but I expected it to be bigger
