My tools are now super organized. No more digging to find stuff!I've been looking for a case like this since the first time I went into a home improvement store when I was a kid.Pros:- Super organized and easy to get to stuff in and out.- Doesn't open all the way to the floor like some bags do, so stuff doesn't fall out all the time, yet the opening is very large, unlike 99% of the bags I've seen where the opening is small and you have to dig down to find the thing you need.- Price is very fair in my opinion. For example the Veto Tech XL bag is smaller than this and costs almost £200, and to add insult to injury it has a ridiculous huge plastic flap on the top of it.- Various open and zipped holders all the way around both compartments AND all the way around the outside.See details below.- Easily fits several 18v power tools, and even has space for all my consumables like screws and hot glue, which I keep in poushes. (The drill in the photos is 12v, but I can easily fit my 18v drill and jigsaw into the larger compartment with other stuff.)- You're limited to around 27cm long tools if you want them to stand upright. You can fit around 42cm long tools length wise, but if you have a lot of them they might be stacked on each other, which isn't ideal for super fast pulling of tools. - But during the day, while the bag is open, you can put the long tools upright, then just put them away at the bottom of the bag when you're done.- You can also fit a 46cm long tool diagonally from the bottom corner to the top corner, and if you have something longer you can have it sticking out of the bag and just close the zips up to it.- The leather is fake. A really good fake, it even smells a bit like leather, but it's fake. I checked with a microscope and also cut into it, it's a soft foam inside with a leather-like pattern on the outside. This is a big pro for me. I've seen how cows are killed, and I would never do that to a dog so I decided to stop buying animal products. (Also a lot leather products come from China and are sometimes actually made from cats and dogs.)- Hard waterproof bottom.- The main zips are huge and feel fantastic. The zip pulls are also massive. The compartments:- Two main sections, one quite a bit bigger than the other, because the center divider is not exactly in the middle of the bag. The larger one in my photos is the one with the pouches at the bottom.- 22 open upright pockets total, 14 inside and 8 outside.- 1 medium zipped pocket outside, 1 full-size zipped pocket inside.- External tape holder. Very convenient!- 4 D rings on the outside, can hold a hammer with a fairly slim handle. Works well for my 16oz with wood handle.- 8 non-stretching loops above 4 of the internal open pockets. These could hold a brush, a slim hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. I would add some stretchy ones though. Very easy with hot glue, or spend a bit of time to make it nicer with some needle and thread. To get the material, just search Amazon for 50mm elastic, or 25mm elastic, etc.Cons:- No proper organizers that are perfect for tiny tools under 5" long. You could easily add your own with some elastic fabric or by attaching some mesh or clear pouches with some safety pins or a needle and thread.- The top handles can get in the way a bit. Not a major issue but might get annoying if using this all day. I will probably cut mine off and clip a single one onto the D rings of the shoulder strap.- Nothing stretches. Would be nice if there were more stretchy areas for holding slightly oversized tools.- My kit in this bag weighs 16kg, or around 19kg with two 18v tools added, so if I needed to take this many tools and carry them far I'd put this on a little dolly / hand cart.- The shoulder pad is made from the same durable material as the rest of the bag, which won't be the most comfortable on the skin if you're wearing a sleeveless shirt.- The zips for the small pockets are just normal zips, not very big.- If you throw lots of stuff into the bottom of this bag then it's still possible you'll have to dig a little, but still far less than most other cases.By the way, the tiny bag in the photo is a Crumpler belt pack intended for a camera.

Stanley Dual Access Tool BagFor many years, well in fact all my adult life I have been recording mostly audio in one form or another and the result, I needed specialist storage for my microphones, they are dedicated bags for this purpose, the problem is I sometimes record out in the field (just a term not a literal field with cows and things) and I like to be prepared with a mic for any situation and some of my mics are large, and the dedicated mic bags only cater for usually 6 mics and mostly the vocal type so these bags are no good, then I hit on the idea of a tool bag.Well the tool bag idea is a big success and I no I am going on a bit, but the point here is just because it is labelled a tool bag,you could use it for any purpose, here are the pros and consPros;Rain proof (might be almost waterproof)Very strongLots of internal pocketsSplit entry to each sideDetachable strapLike the place of the handle D-rings (many tool bags have them of-set)The bright yellow, makes finding things easyThe waterproof baseCons; When you close the bag the top narrows down, like an old fashioned doctors bagPersonally for me I would like no outside pockets but remember this is a tool bagAlthough I did use camera bags for my mics at first, once I tried this bag and of course I used thin foam for mics that don’t have their own bag, I get more mics into a smaller space and I feel the mics are still well protected and when the bag is opened I can see at a glance what mics are where, I am sure it is just as perfect for tools as well!.Read full review...

After a great number of years of hunting for lost tools and buying plastic boxes with a tray I finally decided to organise my tools and therefore myself. The quality of materials and manufacture is superb; the design / layout would be hard to improve on in my opinion. One can store a remarkable amount of kit in this bag ... there are pockets galore both inside and out with two large zipped (good zips too) compartments. The base of the bag is plastic on the outside so it can be put down safely on a damp surface. The shoulder strap is comfortable and probably necessary given the sheer weight of the kit one can get into this bag.So! anything not to like? Not really; the two handles link together via a cuff lined with the most aggressive Velcro I have ever encountered. The straps have to be released from the cuff before the zipped compartments can be accessed ... It would have been good if the straps were attached to the bag in such a way that access to the compartments didn't require the Velcro encounter. The only other comment is that small items such as loose screws and so on will easily get lost in the pockets so I've ended up keeping a small plastic tube with a screw top for such items. So there we are; the best tool bag I've ever owned. I am ready to go and it's an excellent item great for all my snagging kit.

Having just bought and immediately returned an Eclipse Techcase, I spent a bit more and opted for this Stanley case. The difference is night and day. Where the Techcase was a battle to not just get tools in but also close it afterwards, the Stanley offers tonnes of well-thought-out space and is easy to open and close without things clanging into each other or forcing the zips. I've got all my electrical tools in with loads of room to spare, and still have a row of internal pockets and all bar one external pocket free. The only small con - and it's so small I can't mark it down a star - is that the loops that my screwdrivers are in are not elasticated, which would have been nice, but really it isn't a major issue.Yes it was a bit more costly than the Techcase but it is ten times the bag. Buy with confidence.

I went through quite a few bags, buying them through amazon and then returning them, before I found this one. My reasoning for wanting a new bag was to be able to easily access my tools without having to rifle through everything in there to find what I wanted to use. This has ample amounts of pockets both inside and outside for my needs as an electrician. It allows me to easily access screwdrivers in the well designed individual holders, plus securely holds all the other regularly used tools I have. It also has enough room to put less used tools in the body of the bag.I've been using it for about a month and it's still like new so I'm hoping this is sign of its longevity. It's almost double the price of the bag I had previously, but I'd definitely recommend this over the other Stanley bags I tried.

Perfect tool bag for an electrician. Stanley have really upped their game with this bag. It literally will pay for itself in time saved rooting for tools. I have never been this organised, and i love it. The strap is attached centrally to a metal frame, so hopefully it will no longer rip out. hooray. And the pockets are large enough for you to be able to get your hand in, but also have retaining straps so your tools stay upright. There's even a holder for an 18v battery drill. I'd be mean spirited if i attempted to fault this bag because it really appears to have been designed tradesmen in mind. I've had this bag for a week; if it falls apart next week, i'd give it one star.

I'm an old school joiner , who used an old wooden toolbox to carry all my gear in. I was always having the mickey taken out off me for being old fashioned by all the cheeky young upstarts. So I decided to take the plunge and buy this bag. Well it's best thing I've done in years. Carries the same amount of tools and cordless drills. It's much easier to carry by using the shoulder strap , and dosnt take up as much room in my van.So all in all , maybe if us old timers would listen to the young ones , then maybe we could learn a thing or too.Thx againBradders.

I received this Stanley tool bag today and I was really surprised it is really sturdy. My old tool bag was full and now I’ve organised them into this Stanley Fatmax bag there is still loads of room left it’s a absolute bargain even for people who just do a bit of DIY at home please have a look at the images I’ve put on and I hope it helps you decide because I looked around for a while and just thought try it and I’ve seen it in a local store for nearly double the price and it also comes with a shoulder strap

I use this bag as a daily driver for smart electric metering installations.Bag is ideal for this job, plenty of room to keep all my tools in the pockets, various screw drivers, pliers, cutters, testers etc. Able to keep battery drill and low voltage gloves all secure plus keep a caddy of fitments in the bag.Without hesitation I would buy this product again. I am able to see that I have replaced all tools in the bags and left nothing behind at the job site.Very happy with this purchase.

Well Father Christmas brought me an early present! As an electrician I've been using these items in one form or other for quite a while. From first observations it seems to tick all the boxes! Previous tote bag was just the one cavernous compartment from whence things were placed and not having to spend what seems like ages delving into the depths! ... It will be great to be able to have a place for everything over two compartments

I've had this 11 months now and it fits my needs perfectly, however - all within the last week the four zips have broken and the metal(?) band inside the centre partition has broken into two somehow meaning the middle is now all floppy. I am extremely particular with my work kit and really look after my stuff, this still looks like a new bag besides the faults I just mentioned. I'm not sure how to approach anyone for warranty

11.9.2018

After 5 months of light use the Velcro strap has come apart. This is slgihty more than an inconvenience for me as I use bag handle to carry the bag rather than the uncomfortable shoulder strap. Other than that the bag is very good. I am able to get all the essential tools neatly packed away within the bag. Unfrotunately i dont think the bag will stand the test of time even with light use.

27.3.2018

Really nice strong tool bag, plenty of pockets for my screwdrivers pliers etc and enough floor space for larger items, even Velcro straps for a small drill etc. Having had a fat max tote previously where everything just gets chucked in this bag keeps everything organised. 1 very small gripe there is no external holder for a tape measure, which Was useful on the tote

8.12.2017

Just what I needed to keep my tools in order and safe. I was using a 'Fatmax' holdall whic, without the rigidity in the side panels, kept collapsing under the weight of the tool pockets. This bag offers lots of internal and external pockets together with a solid central divider that gives it a very reliable stance. Not cheap, but worth the expenditure.

This was a present for Fathers Day for a self confessed tool addict and engineer. It was greeted with quiet enthusiasm but once packed and in use has rarely left his side. With work to do on our small boat it was a great and safe way to carry the necessary tools without risk of a watery grave. Definitely recommend
