I joined the sourdough lockdown band wagon and needed something to cook the bread in. I tried an ordinary cast iron casserole dish (used previously for tested bread) but the knob disintegrated making it dangerous. Looking at others on instagram etc I realised they were using these combi overs, making it easier to get a loaf in and out without burning ones arms, technically I suppose using the lid as the base! Anyway, this thing is solid, extremely heavy but is doing an excellent job. I've never washed it - no need to so can't comment on that. It holds it's temperature well.

What a great dutch oven! Solid, heavy, cooks and bakes evenly and efficiently and is a doddle to clean. The lid doubles as a griddle pan, so a great all-rounder.Really, really heavy, so not for the faint-hearted. It's something to be cherished and to hand down proudly from generation to generation.And it looks good enough to hang in full sight and boast about ;-)

I use mine to bake sourdough in as the high temperature was ruining the colour of my le creuset, and this was a far cheaper and suitable option. I also like the versatility of being able to use it for grilling and baking which will be useful for big meals.

Great product! Received with small chip but on exterior.Used flaxseed oil to season with two coatings. Perfect finish.Cooked with it and it did everything expected. I have also used it to bake sourdough bread and it was perfect!Very pleased!

Bought for sourdough baking. Perfect results really has made so much difference. This item is however very heavy so bear this in mind as when hot is difficult to manoeuvre without small burns (gloves on order). Delivery quick item good quality.

Firstly, this was delivered around 10 days before the original date given so I was very happy! I love cooking with cast iron skillets, this one is good quality. But like all skillets you must treat them well and look after them.

This item is so versatile. It's good from bread backing, meat roasting to one dish soups cooking for everything. I just adore it!!! One of best pots/casserole I ever had.
