I am fortunate enough to also own the official GoPro 3-Way Arm, which I can wholeheartedly recommend and is well worth the investment. This product although sound in it's intentions was poorly implemented. The very first time I tried to attach my GoPro Hero 5 Black using the thread and screw provided, one of the mounting teeth instantly snapped apart. This in addition pushed the silver threading out of the frame. Absolutely horrendous design when you see it up close. Also the mount doesn't grip tight enough to hold the camera up, which would mean it was useless either way. I've returned the item.

Became useless when the silver screw (which is a one off for this product) fell off in transport and lost.Seemed like a good product up to that point but disappointing given the price.
