Sonic Lost World is one of the more "controversial" games in terms of opinions and reviews. Many people are quick to call the game a mediocre entry in the series, due to the game's unique control scheme. The game is definitely slower than the more recent Sonic games, but it does flow a lot better due to the parkour mechanic, and the slower pace allows for more precise control. The aforementioned parkour mechanic that this game introduces isn't incorporated into the level design as a mandatory feature, and you will only get as much out of it as you put into it. The controls do provide a good template for future entries to build off of. The level design is only bad in a couple of stages,and that's if you're going after the optional red star rings. The game does get difficult near the end, but due to a patch, lives are now abundant. The bosses however are very easy and can be taken down with ease. The power ups of the game, known as Wisps are used mainly just to take shortcuts through the level. They can be motion/touchpad controlled, but due to a patch, they can be controlled with the analog sticks. The story also gets flak for being lame, but it's your standard Sonic story fare. There are also two additional DLC stages which can be downloaded for free from the Nintendo eShop. One is a Yoshi's Island stage, which is 2D and is the least interesting of the two. The other, is a Legend of Zelda stage that is in 3D and quite fun. Overall an underrated game. I would certainly recommend the game to fans oaf the series.

After reading reviews about this across the Internet I was quite worried buying this. As a Sonic fan I had to and I must say i'm glad I did this was very enjoyable not the best but close enough. The plot of the game is very light-hearted and has a couple of comical moments. Levels are fairly easy unless its on-rail levels or some of the later stages, bosses are generally really easy so don't expect much there. Game looks stunning with all its cartoonish colours and graphics. Sonic controls very well he isn't as fast paced as with other games in the franchise but you can achieve speed with spin-dash or holding the run button on the Wii u gamepad.Overall if your thinking on buying this its not going to be like the classics or even more recent titles but still a very good game.

Pretty similar to all the other sonic games that Ive played in the past although I found it a bit more difficult. perhaps Im just out of practise. But good game and exactly what I was looking for
