I've spent the past week playing over Injustice on the Wii U and have been extremely impressed by the experience. I'm not a huge fan of the Mortal Kombat games and did presume that Injustice would borrow from the MK vs DC game, happily I was mistaken and the guys and gals at Netherrealm have really put something very special out.Regardless of what version you pick up the game is extremely accessible for players of all experiences and with the training to get you up with the basics your be throwing up the combos like the good old days of Killer Instinct. However I would point out that the real driver for me with this game was the story, while it's quick to complete (1.5 days)it was enjoyable and well presented that made you really feel that lots of attention to the original injustice story had been wrapped up in this fighting mechanic gameplay. The various characters that you have to hand all feel powerful, for heroes and villains I guess that is the right thing to do, especially how strong characters hurl cars while lighter nimble folk use the objects to propel them in directions out of reach from the other player.Graphically the title is hit and miss, some textures look extremely flat and dated while in other areas the game looks astonishing to look, made all the more impressive by the transition scenes, as you fly through rock or crash into fighting giants and then thrown back into the match, it makes each fight feel different with the potential for some unknown surprise to occur. So why only 4 stars, because while it's a great game I think that it's not 100% it doesn't stand up to my all time fighter being Dead or Alive 4 and to me it's certainly come a long way from what Mortal Kombat presented us with before. You can certainly see this is just one of many games coming in the Injustice universe.

Ever since Mortal Kombat vs DC, I've longed for an updated DC fighting game and finally here it is.Ok. so it's been out for a while, but having moved from owning this on the 360 to the Wii U it's good to know that the Wii U version is just as good, despite a few differences. The most notable change is with online, with less options for lobbies and a far simpler matching solution, though it still works well when you can find a match.Secondly, the control scheme is redesigned for the touchscreen pad, albeit slightly, and does make use of it. I still found myself using the physical controls, however. The single player story contains some well written material that sees heroes jumping to different dimensions to defeat alternate versions of themselves. It's quite complicated to begin with but soon makes more sense. This also unlocks extra skins and cards and is well worth playing through simply for the story and the excellent voice acting. All the hallmarks of a Mortal Kombat game are here, with a few alterations such as Fatalities replaced by 'Super Moves' that are less gruesome but equally fun to watch. The interactive stages, some with multiple levels, are well thought out and fun to fight in, with my favourite being the Batcave. In addition to the main single player, you have STAR Labs missions, which involve completing specific actions, and a more classic arcade style battle against multiple opponents. Add the offline and online multiplayer and you have a pretty hefty set of game modes. If you own a Wii U and enjoyed Tekken Tag on it (also highly recommended for the extras the Wii U brings) then this is a must have purchase.

It's a good fighting game with great fighting mechanics and my favourite story in any fighting game. It retains most of the core gameplay aspects from the mortal kombat reboot, but adds a clash system and more stage interactions. The main difference is the lack of gore (which is good in a game like this). Some of my favourite parts of the game are the stage transitions and the special moves as they are brilliant to watch. The reason that this game doesn't get five stars is because of three reasons:1) I know that this isn't supposed to be a remaster, but the graphics look identical to the ps3 version. I would expect there to be at least a tiny bit of difference (although I believe that there is a resolution bump)2)I bought this game on my PC as well, and for whatever reason, the colours are much more saturated on the PC. On the PS4, the colours seem washed out, and just to make sure that it wasn't my monitor, I plugged my ps4 into that monitor to see if there was a difference. It was still washed out. (All of the settings were 1080p medium on PC, by the way)3) The special moves, stage transitions, and victory animations at the end of the fight seem to be 30fps because it looks significantly more stuttery. It's very jarring when the rest of the game is a flawless 60fps. I'm not sure about other people, but this has been my experience with the game.Overall, if you have a last gen console, I would suggest saving some money and buying the last gen version since they are pretty much the same, but if you don't, and you light fighting games or superheroes, this is a must buy.

The funny part of this game, I did not know what this game was, till I saw Batman, Flash, and Super Man in it I was like oh this must be the sequel ed boon was talking about it was, I purchased this game on my birthday which is on April 13th 2013, the gameplay is same as Mortal Kombat (2011), but on freaking steroids, story is F!@#$%^ AMAZING is like you are watching a Justice League movie, the story goes chapter by chapter like in MK vs DC and MK 2011, and also they are a lot of fun mini games and funny jokes made by Green Arrow one of my favorite DC heroes, but my main character I love to use is Bane, he maybe slow but very powerful if you know how to use him, PERFECTLY,after I completed story mode I gave online a try and I WAS VERY IMPRESSED it does not have any lag while playing unlike Naruto storm 3, this game also has mission mode which is really fun, & Arcade like in previous Mortal Kombat game and yes this was made by the same creator as Moral Kombat (2011), overall I would rate this game 10/10. BEST FIGHTING GAME OF 2013, hoping for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe 2 but with this kind of game PEACE OUT Y'ALL \ (^0^) /

I will keep this short and just say the marriage of the Mortal Kombat gameplay and the characters of DC comics makes for a great fighter. This is also a great game for newcomers to the genre to try out, doing away with the overly complex combos of old.I played through the story mode, which whilst a tad confusing to none comic book readers (don't worry it's all clear in the end), is rather good. The game has a wealth of options and if it wasn't for the amount of people 'rage quitting' the online mode would be perfect.I believe the main purpose of this game was to make people aware of the lesser known DC comics characters such as Aqua Man and Hawk Girl in preparation for the inevitable Justice League film. And it does it very well. The Wii U game pad can be used to display a combo list and I actually prefer using the gamepad to the pads on the other consoles. All in all a great purchase for fans of the source material and genre alike.Recommended.

One of the most entertaining fighting games I have ever played, every character feels different which is a really good thing and stops you from becoming bored. Like all fighters it is easy to pick up and play but difficult to master, however, it is fun regardless of you skill level. The batte mode is enjoyable as it has alot of different scenarios to play through that make the game more challenging and help you improve your combat techniques. The super moves are satisfiyng when you land them on an opponent, whether your superman punching somone to outer space, doosmday pummeling someone through the earth or batman doing a sweet looking backflip over the batmobile. This game also features a level transitition which allows you to switch the area you are fighting in. The transitions are entertaining and when used as a finish to a combo look awesome. I highly recommned this game to anyone who enjoys fighters such as mortal kombat, tekken or street fighter

This is one game I would recommend to anyone if you like super hero's, DC comic's or just fighting games as there is so much fun in playing with every single person in it. From playing online with others to just being on your own this game is not just 1 room fighting it has a multi-room battle zone in it from going threw walls to being thrown down the bat cave. You learn so much about character's you never knew of and even more about the ones you did .... I never knew Robin grew up and they did a comic about him where he becomes his own super hero yet still fights along with Batman. One game for sure you will find fun in playing it but I'd recommend using a Wii U Pro Controller as it makes it easier to play the game than the Wii U Pad that comes with the console,Only 2 players offline but a full 8 online (A true battle zone there)

Pretty much the awesomeness of the game has been covered by other reviewers and I agree with the possitive reviews. However I was disappointed with the fact that the Wii U version does not support private matches online. You can only play random matches online and after doing a little research I am of the understanding that this is only the case for the Wii U version and I really can't understand the reason behind this...I was considering cutting 1 star from the 5 star review for this but apart from the fact that this is indeed a great game deserving 5 stars, the lack of private matches (that I hope will be patched in the future though I find it unlikely)is counterweighted by the inclusion of all DLCs in the Wii U version so...thumps up!I strongly recommend this game.

I purchased this item in January and I'm still hooked onto it. The graphics aren't as glamorous as Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, or Killzone but they're still pretty good. The gameplay and the characters in it are amazing and the storyline is better than most movies. So, if you love fighters and are a fan of comics like I am then I would strongly recommend everyone to buy it.Short note: This should not be a 16. If you are hesitant to let your 12 year old child play this, then don't worry. It's just fantasy violence. The worse is basically beating someone up whilst going up a elevator. There are loads of YouTube walkthroughs of these and if you're unsure then just have a look but it isn'tanything too bad unlike Mortal Kombat.

I am quite a hardcore fighting game fan and this game is by far my favorite and one of the best dc games I have ever played equaling the arkham games. The story is very cinematic and i am impressed that the developers made the effort to put it in. It is by no means movie quality but it is very comic book like and helps towards the feeling that you are playing a superhero film .the fighting is really deep and all the characters are badass when in the control of someone who knows what they are doing. The interactive environments are a great feature which I hope to see more of in future. Which again make it feel like superheroes are fighting and not just people dressed in suits.Overall a great game 10/10

Paid about £13 for this game just after xmas so will mark a perfect 5 star for the stella price tag. Was bought for me but let the kids have a go last week & they love it (their all girls x4). OK it is a 16+ age game but I sat & watched them take turns on the story mode & was amazed at how good it was put together. it was better & a lot cheaper than taking them all to the cinema. Top quality cartoon graphics with a great story mode that lasts a couple of hours with lots of extras to collect. wont last to long on game play for adults but for the price tag BRILLIANT. will be playing myself after zombie u (now playing on harder settings) . I am really liking that game loads. ta

Very addictive game and super graphics! I invite my friends around regular to see if they can ever beat me in multiplayer! I'm very good at this game, only because I go on it so much. As a HUGE catwoman fan, I loved the story mode, especially the romance between batman and catwoman. Also, the joker and harley quinn. I loved the multiplayer where you can choose your own character each. I would also love if it was more players. In a lot of batman games I have played, you cannot play as a girl! But on this you can I would recommend this to everyone! However warning sexual references, violence and strong language, most definateley for 13-16+ Xoxo IMMAGOTCHIHEART

I originally had a copy of the standard version of the game but, the ultimate edition is simply better. More character's, more costume skin's and, more star lab's missions. This one my top three favourite fighting games on the the Xbox 360. Medium difficulty level on this game is challenging enough and, I would not like to think how difficult hard or very hard difficulty levels would be. This game gives comic book fans a good opportunity to recreate some classic comic book battles. Superman vs zod, batman vs bane, or how about superman vs wonder woman? Who do you think would win?. Well, now you can come to your own conclusion.

This has got to be one of the most well-balanced fighting games I have ever played. Every character plays well, and you can be pulling of some mad over-the-top moves against more than 20 opponents. As much as I like Street Fighter style beat-em-ups, this was far more enjoyable. Here the story mode has actual substance, there are hundreds of challenges in the STAR labs mode, and dozens of Battle modes and unlockables to find. I haven't played it online yet, and I'm not a massive one for network play, but there is a wealth of things to do offline it will keep you busy for hours. Easily one of my favourite Wii U titles so far.

5.5.2014

This is a great fighting game, probably one of the best I have played and it's made more enjoyable by the fact you can unleash devastating super moves for all the heroes and villains in the game, the controls are also very good and easy to master, the super moves I mentioned above can easily be triggered by filling your meter and hitting the back triggers on the controller, The only real downside to this game is the graphics the don't use the full power of the playstation 4 and the cut scenes look poor. The game overall is great fun.
