My first impression of the box is saying to me are these gonna be any good.A rock themed name is this really going to blow my mind. You really have to look at the picture of the headphones quite close to make out the design. The box is quite thin compared to other expensive headphones and you think to yourself how big are these? It’s much more clear once you take out of the film packaging what the headphones look like, wireless perfection it says, you turn to the back and read crystal-clear acoustics. Only one way to find out.Flip over the cover and it looks quite impressive, all black with skull box, instructions to the left of the flip. The headphones are very light, feel strong though and I like the smooth finish.Once you put them on, you’re easily impressed with the comfort; the pads cover your ears and extra padded on the top.Straight out of the box, I’ve pressed the button for 3 seconds and a voice says it’s on. Back to my phone, and Bluetooth. It picks up Hesh 3, straight away. Back to my music and hit play. The music connects straightaway and you’re taken aback by the sound, walking around the room, your head feels light and you get into the music. I tried various tracks. All there is to do now, play the same tracks on my other headphones and see what I could spot. The Hesh 3, has good clarity and much more bass and that’s where the problem is, it distorts the clarity to my other headphones and the words aren’t the same. For the price, I believe the Hesh 3 is value for money and a must buy if that’s your budget.

I really like these Skullcandy headphones. They're comfortable to wear, even over long periods and they sound pretty good too. A wholly different sound from my trusty Sennheisers, but they deliver a polished, possibly 'polite' sound. They feel EQ'd to work best with dance music, pop & rock music and generally any music which delivers deep bass. There are no issues whatsoever with the battery - they literally lasted the whole of a flight from the UK to Vietnam on a single charge. They're also device-agnostic, working successfully with both my PC and smartphone. The real beauty of these, of course, is the lack of a cable, so you're free to walk away from your PC and almost forget that they're still on your head. They're comfortable too, so there are no concerns about feeling too tight after an hour or so.My only real gripe is the sound quality. It's not that it's bad, it's just that I've heard better - but I also have to keep in mind that these headphones retail for around £80, which is a huge saving compared to the market leading bluetooth headphones - Sony, Sennheiser or Bose. Also bear in mind that these are not noise-cancelling headphones, so although they cut out some of the noise when music is playing, they're certainly not as good as a pair of active noise-cancelling headphones. On the whole, though, these are really good value headphones which many people will enjoy listening to music through.

THE SKULLCANDY HESH 3 HEADPHONES ARE A JOY TO LISTEN PLAYING MY REGGAE MUSIC.TO ME THE BALANCE BETWEEN BASS AND TREBLE IS SPOT ON,I SURELY CAN’T UNDERSTAND HOW WHICH CONSUMER REVVIEWERS SAID THE BASS WAS WAY OVER THE TOP AND MADE LISTENING TO MUSIC IMPOSSIBLE.A TOTAL EXAGGERATION IN MY VIEW.YES THE BASS IS POWERFUL BUT IT’S DEFINITELY NOT OVERBEARING AT ALL IN THE BASS DEPARTMENT.LIKE MY HEADING SAYS GREAT QUALITY SOUNDING HEADPHONES BUT BUILD QUALITY IS A WORRY.EVEN FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO TAKES GREAT CARE OF MY ELECTRONICAL DEVICES THE FLIMSY MAKEUP OF SKULLCANDY HESH HEADPHONES SCARES ME AND ARE A GREAT LETDOWN.JUST BECAUSE THE PRICE OF THE HEADPHONES ARE CHEAP DOESN’T GIVE THE MANUFACTURERSTHE RIGHT TO SHORT CHANGE THEIR CUSTOMERS.I WOULD GLADLY HAVE PAID MORE MONEY JUST TO ENSURE BETTER BUILD QUALITY.I DO LOVE THE THUMP THAT THESE HEADPHONES DELIVER AND THAT IS WITHOUT ANY EQUALISER TURNED ON.I WOULDN’T EVEN DARE RISK FOLDING THESE HEADPHONES REPEATEDLY. THOUGH.GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY THOUGH.THE SKULLCANDY HESH 3 DEFINITELY DELIVERS IN TERMS OF MIDS AND HIGHS THAT’S FOR SURE.AND THE HEADPHONES ALSO SEEM VERY COMFORTABLE.WELL AT THE MOMENT THEY AREI HAVE REVIEWED THESE HEADPHONES ON THE VERY DAY THAT I BOUGHT THEM.AND I WILL UPDATE THEM IF NEEDED.I BOUGHT THESE FROM CURRYS AND NOT AMAZON.AND CONSIDER THEM TOP NOTCH.

I got these for my daughter who has been using Beats by Dre (wired) headphones but, after little over a year, the sound has gone in 1 ear making them unusable and pretty much uneconomic to repair - needless to say that after that experience, I don’t want to spend any more money on Beats. This is the first pair of Bluetooth headphones we’ve had and I have to say I am impressed - they are easy to use, battery life is great, the Bluetooth connectivity seems very reliable and, most importantly, the sound quality is fantastic....clear, punchy and with plenty of bass but not overpoweringly so. They feel a little more plasticky than the Beats but I guess this is reflected in the price. They also fold up in the same way as Beats (and fit tightly in the Beats Solo case) but it’s a bit miserly that these headphones don’t come with any travel case of their own. Charging is via a micro USB cable (supplied) and although no plug is provided, it will work with any generic USB plug. There is also a traditional headphone jack supplied so that you can keep listening in the event that you run out of battery whilst on the go. A handy ‘quick charge’ facility allows you to charge the headphones for a few minutes to get some emergency power to tide you over until you have time for a full recharge. Recommended.

Great set of headphones - ok they are big over ears ones which perhaps are not the most discreet, but what you might lose in "cool" you gain in quality of sound and comfort. The ear pads are very well padded and clamp tight to the head. There is very little if any noise bleeding from outside in or insode out..so you are totally wrapped up in your own world of sound. They fold up nicely so you don't get all the hassle of damage when you carry them around in your bag.I've connected using blue tooth to laptop and phone, and use the supplied cable for my "old school" ipod. Sound is equally good on either conncetion type.I haven't experiences any signal drop out with my use so far.The controls on/off and volume are on the side of one headphone speaker and pretty obvious what they do. There is a blue indicator when you power them up to connect. Pairing headphones with devices was very easy. On the same side ae the usb charging port and headphoen jack in, so you haven't got to fiddle around looking for the controls anywhere else.Very pleased with these.

Very good sound, some strong bass and clear high end. A perfect combination for listening to music one day and playing games/chatting with mates another. Connectivity is easy and the range is pretty decent - I can walk out my room at the front of the house, downstairs and it only disconnects properly when i get to the back of the kitchen at the back of the house and my house ain't that small. Battery life is amazing, I've had them get low only once and I rarely remember to charge them after long 10-12-hour sessions. The seem structurally sound which is more than I can say for any other Skullcandy product I've used.Unfortunately the over-ear cushions don't quite go completely over my ear personally and it can get a little painful after a few hours of wearing them.I wouldn't say I have especially large ears either. (1.5 inches diametre width-ways and 2.25 inches top to bottom, if anyone's interested). Despite that, gonna give these a 4. Every feature works very well for the price, however they're a bit uncomfortable (for me at least).

I got these as soon as they came out to replace my Hesh 2's that I've had for the past 2 years. I wear these things for hours at work, so I like to get the best I can for what I spend. Sound quality for the Hesh 3 is a little better than the 2, particularly in the higher-frequency ranges. Their weight is noticeably less than their predecessor, and the cups are a much better size and shape; they fit much more comfortably around my ears for longer periods w/o any discomfort, and their rotating capability makes it easier to adjust them on my head as the day wears on. Bluetooth pairing is solid, and the battery lasts for a very long time. (I suspect, like the Hesh 2, the battery will last longer than advertised). These headphones absolutely great. I am not at all disappointed and highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for an awesome pair of headphones for a very reasonable price. I *do* kind of wish it came with a carrying bag like the Hesh 2 did, but this is a minor concern.

Very impressed with these. These charge fairly quickly and the battery life is great- 22 hours or so from a full charge. The Bluetooth on this worked a treat neither my Mac nor my iPhone had any trouble finding these. They aren't noise cancelling, but the padding does block out most noise and I've had no complaints re: sound leakage when wearing these in the living room while others watched TV. The built-in microhone works well when I've used these to answer a call, no one had any trouble hearing what I had to say. The wireless reach was also good. I wA ble to put on my fave playlist on my laptop in the living room, and wander off to go do laundry, pop upstairs to put away things, and so on,without losing signal or the sound distorting. Very comfortable to wear, these did not feel as if they were squeezing nor were they loose. The over ear padding cupped comfortably, too.

These are fanatstic. Skullcandy have gotten their act together this year. Sound quality is brilliant, never lost connection walking around the house with the phone downstairs or out running phone in hand.Connects as soon as you power the thing on after the first pairing. Plenty of volume and a great sound stage.Noise isolation isnt great and the plush leather earcups will be sweaty after a couple hours of use but these arent sports headphones so ill give it a pass.Built well, mostly thick plastic with a metal headband, lightweight and folds up for convenience. If youve ever owned a pair of skullcandys before, forget what you remember about them, these are head and shoulders above what theyve ever made before.

Nice sounding headset. Just a couple of problems. This headset uses 40mm drivers and music sounds well balanced. Unfortunately the pads are a little small. They do fit, and are comfortable, but they could have been a bit larger. These connected to my phone and gaming PC straight away. No problem.Unfortunately my laptop is running a beta version of Windows 10 and this is where the problem is. It took ages for the headset to show up and even when it eventually paired, it wouldn't stay connected. Note, this is a beta test problem, and not a problem with the headset, because none of my Bluetooth headsets now work. This is just a warning for other windows beta testers.

I love these. I use them all the time and the sound quality is great. Technically not for it but I usually use these while I’m woodworking as they drown out the noise of the machines. It does a pretty good job of it too. They’re comfortable to wear. These are pretty much on par with more expensive headphones I’ve used. The downside is that when I’ve had a digital piano volume set too high there is some crackling through the headphones, but it was stupidly high so not really an issue. The battery lasts for ages and they really do fully charge in no time. I meant to only use them in my workshop but they’re replacing all my other headphones because I love them.

Use these around the house and whilst out walking on my own or commuting. Sound quality is fantastic. Whilst not as the product states noise isolating, the feelings that you get around your ears from the strong clamp provided around your head from the over earcups and the headband (which can be adusted) gives me enough isolation from the noise around me. I love how the headphones allow me to enter my own zone and be alone with just my own thoughts and music. The battery life is brill with a wire option. Occassionaly I have issues when trying to connect to my phone (LG) via Bluetooth. Also a included protective case would be nice.

Quite happy with this purchase. I only bought these as I just wanted some decent Bluetooth headphones for the gym and these were on sale for 60 quid. Little bit bulky so you're not going to look too cool walking down the road but as I said I only bought them for the gym so I don't care. Sound quality is pretty decent for the price. They look great, no loud colours, nice and sleek finish. They feel great to wear, comfortable. Would be better if they came with a protective case as they feel like they could easily break if not looked after. Overall they're a good purchase in my opinion.

17.7.2018

These are amazing, I have had them quite a while now and they are perfect. I can wear them for hours without a problem of hurting my ears. The range you can walk away without it breaking up I found about 30 ft (with nothing in between to block the signal) I have never tried the built in mike as I have no use for it. They are a very good quality sound, nice and clear and quite loud. If your battery is running low then a voice tells you and you can either put them on charge or plug in the wire so you are connected direct. Great set and well worth the money.

Last year we bought the Hess 2 for our son and were not disappointed. Last week we bought the Hesh 3 for our daughters birthday. Once again these headphones are terrific, sound quality and comfort excellent. One negative comment and this is not about the headphones but the absence of a travel bag/ cloth bag for carrying the headphones. HESH 2 had this in the box and it is very handy and ensures the headphones doesn't get damaged. On the basis Hesh 3 is more expensive it is disappointing that this is not included.
