I searched a lot before purchasing this tripod. I wanted something that is not so heavy in order to carry it for long and difficult hikes. I wanted something that is not so expensive as a carbon tripod. I wanted something that can hold firm against wind, sea waves, on rocky grounds, inside water streams and be sturdy enough to hold my Nikon D600 and the Nikon 16-35mm f/4 even at its full height without moving when I put my camera in a vertical position when I need to take shots for creating a panorama. This tripod fits the bill and I am quite happy with the purchase. I combined it with the Sirui K-10X ball head and even though it was my first time using a ball head I find it very easy to operate.
