As a woman with a large cup size, but small band size, finding a sports bra that is worth a dam is like finding a unicorn. I've seen rave reviews across the web claiming that this bra is the answer. I'd say it was almost right. Firstly, I ordered my true size which is a 34G and there was definite spillage (through herroom.com's massive selection and fantastic return policy I now finally know the right size for me, but this bra was cheaper here on Amazon.com). They didn't offer a higher cup size so I went up another band size to the 36G. I don't quite have the same separation as the model shown (so a swipe of deodorant though the cleavage is helpful) but I definitely did NOT have uni-boob!I was so excited to show my sister who’s in a similar situation (thanks genes) and she couldn’t believe I was even wearing a sports bra. Secondly, I love the material as it's soft and smooth. Thirdly, there is no underwire in this model which seemed really counter-intuitive to me because in regular bras I need the wire. I found the Shock Absorber to have enough separation and lift despite not having the wire. Getting it on was a little challenging, but nothing a few practice tries won’t resolve. I've recently started rock climbing and it definitely helped keep the girls out of my way while I was going up the wall. I've also been able to do jumping jacks for the first time without injury. I used to subscribe to the class of large-chested women who wore a regular bra with 2 sports bras over it and that did not give me the same level of control as this bra did and this bra allowed me to breathe a little easier than that subpar solution. So in sum, it does run small, but it's worth going up in band or cup sizes to get the right fit. Also, at the time I ordered this one, I ordered the Glamorise Women's Adjustable Bounce Control Sports Bra which I think has more control, less comfort, but is cheaper. See my review there if interested. Finally, unfortunately because of the design of the "harness" as I like to refer to this one, it does create a noticeable amount of back bulge in the opening between the top and bottom clasps. Not noticeable with a t-shirt on but if you intended to wear it alone this is your heads up about that situation.

this is the best sports bra for large breasts. I use it for running, walking, spinning and lifting weights. There is a La Isla bra, which looks like this one but seems to be a lower price knock off, and is also sold on Amazon . It is lower cut and runs larger in the band , so may be adequate for those who don't need the high cut to keep breasts from spilling out the top , or like a looser band fit (full size difference, I'd say) I wear a 34 DD in Glamorise, and order 34DD in The SA, but needed a 32DD in the La Isa version. The cup size is exact and the band also fits, but with a tighter fit than my usual daytime bras in the same size. I prefer that for sports, but some might find it too tight. Not sure about the UK vs US sizes. I think I usually order in the US sizeIt IS a bit hard to get into. Many reviewers seem to comment on this. I do not have someone else hook me in, as some have reported! I keep the upper clasp closed, open the bottom hook clasp, put the bra on over my head, straighten the straps, (which sometimes twist going over the head) and then hook the bottom clasp and reach into the cups to pull breasts into place. A bit of a maneuver, but worth it. No jiggle, no uniboob, like some sports bras create...and adequate coverage. A few bras , like the Enell model I have are cut a bit higher, for better cleavage coverage, but this bra is much more comfortable, fits better under tank tops, feels like a bra and not a harness and does the trick. .Of note, the straps are closer to the neck and angled in, unlike most regular bras .It also looks good under a lot of other tops , which I might change into and put on over spandex leggings as I sometimes keep it on to do errands, etc, after i work out ..I have noticed that the bras do develop a mildewy odor in both the band and the straps. It seems to come out after washing, but returns quickly at next wear. Maybe just a sign to replace, although my current 2 still fit well and have maintained their support .I just ordered my 4th one in about 4 years, after thinking I would save money and order the La Isla knock off sold on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I sent it right back and ordered another SA.

I am a bit conflicted as to how many stars to give this item. When the bra fits, it does an excellent job at minimizing movement while running or performing other high-impact activities. It has a normal bra closure in the back as well as a clasp where the straps come together to form a racerback. I thought that I would have trouble with the racerback clasp due to my marginal flexibility, but I was able to fasten and unfasten it easily. Having a sports bra that can come off without having to pull it over your head is also extremely convenient and makes for a more pleasant experience when you are sweaty. It also ensures that you don't stretch out the band before its time. The only issue with this bra is that the band size seems to run a lot smaller than similar bras. For my non-sports bras, I tend to choose the band size by not adding anything to my rib cage measurement or by adding two inches to the measurement (so a 30" ribcage measurement would equal a 30 or 32 band). I find that doing so ensures that the bra is much more supportive and it stays in place better. My bras also last longer because I do not have to worry about the band stretching out as much. My method does not work with this bra; if you buy the bra with a band measurement that matches that of your rib cage, you will not be able to close it. So I suggest that, if you prefer a firm-fitting band like I do (and you probably should get a tighter band for sports bras so that you minimize movement), you should add 4" to your ribcage measurement. The cup size should then be the difference between your bust measurement and the band measurement, not your ribcage measurement (A=1", B=2", etc.). If you prefer your bands looser, you will have to go even larger than that (and decrease the cup size accordingly). Unfortunately, this means that a lot of people will be sized out of these bras. Shock Absorber should therefore either change its sizing methods or expand its sizing options.

Size : 38ESports : Mixed genres of dance, running and gym workoutAfter reading x-amount of reviews on this bra I was definitely unsure of my original intent to purchase however in the end I am 110% happy I decided to purchase this item.I currently use Triumph Tri-Action sports bra and decided it has seen better days when I stumbled across this Shock Absorber model.Material and Design : The item is well built with a double lining to absorb moisture and minimalise any discomfort during exercise. A lot of fuss has been made about straps becoming undone etc througout work out however I cannot see this being possible as I struggled to open the bra straps in order to change the length.Other reviews claim that you need to have out-of-the-ordinary arm flexibilty in order to even get the bra on in the first place but it is safe to say, these claims are over dramatic. The best way to put the item on is leaving the top hooks in and opening the back catches as if applying a standard U back bra. Those who often wear cross back straps will find this style of bra easy to wear.Sizing : This style is said to run small however I ordered my normal size and it fitted perfectly and comfortably. If you are nervous of sizing order one back size up as cups are claimed to run big but back size small but in my case this did not apply. (I usually purchase size 14 - 16 - 18 size tops depending on the brand obviously but just an fyi for rough information).Amazon Service : Item came within 3 days, well packaged as usual. This item is an absolute steal at just under 25£ considering it's RRP is 37£ + and above.I am happy that I purchased this bra and it feels totally comfortable and ensures I feel confident while wearing it. I would definitely advise anyone that is big chested like myself to at least give it a try. Hope this helped :)

This company is really, really good! I bought it being slightly worried about the size and how much bounce it could actually help with but clearly when I got this and tried it on my worries just melted away. Firstly I had I decided to choose the a cup and a band size above the size I normally wear because many people complained that the sizes run a bit on the small side. I was a bit worried however since some people have found their normal size to be perfect but I took the risk anyway - because how else are you going to find out otherwise? When I tried it on, I did think maybe I could go down one more cup size because the bra wasn't squeezing my boobs to my chest as normal sports bras normally do,sometimes to the point where you wonder if it's even good for your health, however even though it didn't squeeze my boobs flat I was really happily surprised that it managed to keep them from bouncing! It actually worked and it didn't need to squeeze much either which I'm really happy about because it can be comfortable and keep me from bouncing boobs too!I think it fit really well even for just guessing the size below so if you're struggling with sizes I would recommend picking a cup size down and a band size up and then decide whether you need to adjust more from there otherwise you won't know for sure. I would really recommend this brand as I've tried looooads of sports bras and as many people know for the bigger sizes it's pretty hard to stop them from bouncing, but it is very uncomfortable and annoying when they do so the fact that this bra can stop my jiggles in their tracks I'm really, really pleased!

Very happy with this sports bra: needed something hardcore for running and Body Combat classes (high intensity, lots of jumping.) Arrived very quickly. Photos show what upper fastening and strap adjustment look like, as well as what the inner material looks like.FIT - I bought my usual bra size (great that back and cup measurements are available) and it felt like it was too small when I first tried it on, but after using it for exercise, I think this "small fit" effect is intentional as if it were looser then it would lose some of the hardcore support. Shoulder straps can be adjusted (easier to do when not wearing as is a hook and "ladder" style system where you take the hook out and put it back in.)I wouldn't recommend having the top fastening done up if not doing exercise, as it can become a little bit uncomfortable. Tight fit gives me back fat but I don't really care because it does what it's supposed to do!SUPPORT - has two back fastening bands, which makes it super supportive: one at chest/under bust level (like a normal bra) and one at shoulder level which gives that extra shock absorber support.MATERIAL & FASTENINGS - sturdy and non see through material, synthetic but breathable. Strong clasps although the top shoulder clasp is a bit tricky to fasten and un fasten to start with (I recommend lifting arms over head and back to fasten while looking over shoulder in a mirror.) Can be worn with just the lower fastening done up for lower intensity exercise. I bought the purple & lime one, which can be worn under all colours except white, which it shows through.

I see women running without the proper support - and I want to stop them and explain the damage they are doing to their breast ligaments : and it is so easily avoidable. The research underpinning this particular bra is very thorough, as evidenced by the end product. The bra does everything it says on the advertising blurb, and once you have found your own individual method of getting it on (I suggest you go somewhere on your own to spare being a source of hysteria - but you will have the last laugh!) you will forget you even have boobs. I cannot speak for all women, but certainly all those I have recommended this bra to, and who have worn it, have never looked back. And some of them are particlarly well endowed. There is just one design flaw: the elastic along the bottom - on runs of longer than about 15 miles - starts to rub and chafe. I have two scars from extensive chafing, as on all runs prior to these longer ones I had not experienced any issue with chafing. I now tape up prior to a long run, and have overcome the chafing issue. On doing a bit of reading around this, the only reason I could come up with is that it is recommended that ALL sports bras (not just this particular make) are replaced after 40 washes. As much as I would like to be able to do that, it is just not feasible (athough finding them on Amazon at so much less than in a department store was a delightful find). But overall, they are well worth the investment. They do seem to be improving them all the time, so I am hopeful my chafing issue will be a thing of the past in the not too distant future.

This is the first product review I have written but I was so over the moon with this sports bra that I felt I should let people know!I bought this product after I started training on longer runs and my current sports bra started to leave friction marks. I must admit that I had read the reviews but having not tried it on, I was a little concerned about forking out my hard earned money. But I have thrown caution to the wind and splurged. Today I have been out for a run and low and behold - no friction burns and it was so comfortable!! Result. As promised by the marketers, my relatively average bazoomba's stayed in place so no issues there. The bra was so comfy that I almost forgot I was wearing it.The support is excellent but it's not as stiff as some of the others I have tried. Maybe I have picked dodgy ones but you have to be Houdini to get in and out of some of them ......The only other thing I was slightly concerned about was this clip that some find to be a problem. I will admit that it's a little tricky but I was able to put it on without any assistance even with my rheumatic hands and with relative ease. It didn't come apart either so perhaps the other reviewers were just unlucky, in actual fact once the clip pops into place it was stuck fast!I found the sizing to be spot on. Ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly.I am seriously considering buying another one now to save me having to search around when this one wears out!!

I should first say that I have a love/hate relationship with Shock Absorber bras generally. I hate them because I don't find their "compression fit" very comfortable. I have decent sized boobs & they just squash everything into your body which I don't like. However I have to admit they work in terms of stopping boobs bouncing around so to that extent I am growing to love them.I have this bra in 3 colours & really didn't like the first one when it arrived. As well as the usual "squash factor" it's 2nd fastening is a plastic clip affair like you would find on a swim suit but located so high between the shoulder blades its almost impossible to fasten. ( and you can't front fasten and swivel)However I decided to try it out and I must say it worked well. As a result I ordered it in a yellow & blue and then in this pink & purple incarnation, the colour of which is just fantastic. As always with shock absorber the fit on back size is small so think about going up a size on that- cup size is fine though, it's supposed to fit tight, that is how it works.Regarding comfort I am in 2 minds- it's tight, you will notice when you put it on & it won't feel comfortable. But once you are wearing it and while running you just won't notice it. In short it is comfortable to run in which is pretty much the pointSo I have slowly grown to love this model, and what's not to love about a sports bra in such an exuberant colourway.Hope that helps ladies

I have been an avid fan of enell bras for 10+ years but decided to look for an alternative as the front closing section is a bit restricting on the breathing when running plus where the metal clasps are I have had red snoreness and bleeding from the rubbing. So I took the plunge and decided to order this bra after reading some of the reviews. First of all about the sizing. I would normally wear a 34DD/34E and after reading some reviews I decided to go up to a 36D. This worked out ok but I do wear the bra on the tighest fastening so I suspect that my usual size 34 would work equally as well in this model. Bounce, well if you have big boobs I think it is impossible to eliminate all bounce,it just isn't going to happen. But I was pleasantly surprised at the support and comfort of this bra. I use it for running, gym workouts and it feels really really comfortable. Some people seem to have had issues with putting the bra on. It seems pretty straightforward to put on, simply close the clasp at the top back of the straps first and once on adjust the cups and do up the bottom clasp like you would a normal bra. No problem at all. I like the choice of colours and it gives you a nice rounded shape rather than the flat pancake shape the enell gives you. Whilst it is a pretty bra I wouldn't wear this without a t-shirt, a personal preference. I would definitely buy this bra again and recommend it as a go to bra for running and gym workouts.

I have worn plain old compression sports bras for years. Recently, however, I notice the breast tissue spreading out under my arm rather than staying toward the front of my chest. This is both uncomfortable and unattractive. I also realized that I needed more adjustment than the regular sports bras allowed. I did research to find a sports bra that would keep me in place, and keep my breasts from creating the uni-boob effect and also allow for adjustment at the band and straps.I tried an underwire type that was more traditional bra than compression bra. It was okay, but allowed too much breast movement during my regular zumba classes.I ordered the Shock Absorber and absolutely love it!The adjustments at the straps are great.I thought they might be uncomfortable because they are a sort of rubbery material, but they are undetectable and easy to use.The multiple rows of hooks at the back of the bra band allow for a more custom fit. And the T strap closure at the top of the bra back provides stability and support you cannot find with other strap designs. The soft cups (no underwire) are constructed so that the breast tissue sits at the front of the chest wall, providing a better silhouette and keeping the tissue away from the underarm. As far as the breast tissue movement? None, nada. My breasts not only did not move, they didn't even hiccup.Great Bra! I whole heartedly recommend it!

ShockAbsorber is my very favorite sports bra (I loved the first one so much that I bought this one). I'm a runner with a rack large enough that in the wrong bra it causes discomfort (I'm a 36C). I'm also super self-conscious about bouncing boobs and "high beams." And I hate sports bras that give you a uniboob. I don't know how they manage to do it, but ShockAbsorbers contain the girls without mashing them down or together, and even though it's not padded, there's no concern about nipples showing. The fabric feels so nice against your skin - it feels almost silky / satiny, but it doesn't have that gross satin-slimy feel to it. Excellent at wicking away moisture. The straps are super adjustable and the way they're adjustable is very unique - you adjust the back of the straps with fully wrapped adjusters whose parts will never rub against your skin. There's no chafing anywhere. The band doesn't ride up. Possibly the best part of this sports bra is how easy it is to get on and off. I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, so wrestling out of a sweaty sports bra that has to be pulled over the head is just miserable - my husband has to help me (which I hate for a lot of reasons). I have no problem removing this all by myself no matter how sweaty I am after a run. I will continue adding to my stock of ShockAbsorbers because they're just the best!

Ok lets start with the basics, I'm 5'8" 140lbs and am an augmented 34DD. I primarily wear this bra to run in. I run 5 miles 3-4 times a week. I also do the insanity workouts and this is the ONLY bra I will wear for that! This is the best sports bra I have ever found! You do not have a uni-boob even considering my fullness. There is no feeling of bounce or movement for that matter. There are 2 connections in the back but I just slip it over my head and connect the bra back strap. You do need to be fairly flexible to reach the strap on the back and have find the hook and eye but with 2 times of practice I have no issues. I also have moving comfort's rebound racer which is great too but this one is actually better. It costed me more. I paid $50. But so well worth it when it comes ratio to wear. I will for sure buy at least 2 more to be able to have enough to wear in one week. I wear mine twice before washing by the way (I want them to last as long as possible). I also wash them with only my workout wear on delicate and hang to dry. No need for a lingerie bag, they are not that delicate. Before this purchase I was wearing 3 sports bras and had so much shoulder pain but had to grin and bare it. Now I have no shoulder pain and no bounce. I am extremely happy and can't say enough about how great this sports bra is. Thank you, Thank you, thank you!
