I wasn't sure that this shirt would work for what I needed it for. I work outside a lot in the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast. I'm an HVACR technician, and I understand the wicking and evaporative cooling principles at work here, and evaporative cooling generally doesn't work well with high relative humidity.I've got some of the less expensive Under Armour compression shirts, but those don't seem to be that great at cooling if indeed they are meant to cool at all. In addition, those shirts have got short sleeves -- I've got a nice defined tan line on my arms from getting sun burnt just this past week whilst wearing one.I bought this shirt for those reasons -- I wanted to see if one of their shirts marketed specifically to be for cooling worked as advertised, but I needed long sleeves to protect my arms from the sun so that I could take off my heavy, 100% cotton uniform shirt to work in the sun. I'd worn this shirt several times without working outside much, but I worked a twelve hour shift yesterday on a 100 degree F supermarket roof getting blasted by the heat being exhausted by a 120-ton packed air conditioner and the condensers of several hundred horsepower of refrigeration equipment next to the unit. I removed my uniform shirt and worked in just this shirt until the sun went down, and I found it met my expectations. My goal wasn't to be cool like I was in the air conditioning, but to keep from losing too much fluid in my body's attempt to cool itself. Doubtless that part of this was just due to not wearing my uniform shirt, but I feel like wearing this shirt was more effective than working shirtless with the added protection of not getting sun burnt. I went through 3L of water, whereas I probably would've gone through twice as much normally under those extreme conditions. The evaporative cooling effect was immediately noticeable upon entering the building which was 74 degrees F and 68% relative humidity (that's high R.H. for a supermarket, hence why I was working on a Sunday). I noticed that it dried out completely several times. The shirt is extremely comfortable, even if the stares I got from some of the ladies who were shopping at the store and who apparently dig on dad-bods made me feel less than comfortable (bonus: this shirt will make you want to get in shape). There are huge tags that are sewn into a seam on the side near the bottom of the shirt, but they're made to be easily removed. The one thing that I have to knock this shirt for is the logo. It's in the middle and high up, so it shows prominently where my uniform shirt is unbuttoned. I wouldn't like this if I weren't wearing a uniform -- put your logo to the side, Under Armour. I'm not Superman, and that's distracting. Fortunately, they make a "tactical" version that lacks that attention-hogging logo for people who wear uniforms, and I'll definitely be getting more of those.

I had a Nike compression top from a few years ago which was getting a bit long in the tooth so I was on a the lookout for a replacement. I went for the Under Armor top purely because it was the first one I came across that categorically stated it had a cooling effect and I'd heard of the brand name.I'm very pleased I didn't overthink the purchase as the fit on this product is better than my Nike top. The arms on the Nike one are a bit short and I have to keep pulling it down to cover my wrists but the UA one has a little extra length which is perfect as it caters for the little movement that occurs naturally. The main body fits nicely and overall it is very comfortable.I am 5'9" with a 40" chest and "square" torso and the medium size fits perfectly. The only thing I had an issue with was the neck line; it's fairly high even though I don't have a particularly thick neck so people with a boxer's neck may find it a bit restrictive around the throat! It wasn't uncomfortable but I did notice it as soon as I put it on so I'm mentioning it in case people out there like a slightly looser fitting neck area. The main winner for me though is the cooling effect. It's tremendous. I generally wear this under a t-shirt and you can immediately feel the cooling effect when a bit of breeze hits any area where you are perspiring. I even felt this in the areas that were directly under the t-shirt. As long as there is a little bit of air movement, it will allow the moisture to evaporate and create a cooling sensation. In terms of aesthetics, I'm not mad keen on over badged items with motifs all over the place so I like that there isn't anything on the sleeves. As per the images, there is a logo on the upper chest and upper back and the brand name on the rear neck-line which is OK in my opinion. Any more and it would be overkill. The stich detail on the front, rear and arms is quite a nice distraction without being too shouty.

There are many so called compression tops but Under Amour are actual compression tops and by far the best, just the quality alone beat all the others I have tried. The fit is to be as expected and I would suggest that going into a sports store and trying one on for size so you get the perfect fit when buying on online at amazon. The seller is swift with dispatching the item and you can be assured you are getting a genuine Under Amour quality product. I have seen the exact same garment in several sports shops for over £40 so this purchase is a no brainer.I wanted a top that would not show to many curves either when working out or just as an under garment when wearing every day clothes, this top is perfect for just that. When I look in the mirror I know I am not going to get the perfect figure as modelled by the listing but this top for me holds everything in just the right place, I look slimmer, have loads more confidence in the gym and when working out that little bit of fat I'm trying to work off stays in place. I don't over sweat in this top so just goes to show it allows for a good workout without getting a dripping wet top. When you cool down this top holds the body at just the right temperature and cold sweat is a thing of the past. I actually find this better than my thermal tops as I don't over heat or ever feel cold, my body temperature stays just right.Very happy with my purchase and I will be ordering more in other colours.

I wore this on a bike ride with temperatures in the 34°-38° range at speeds ranging from 10-15 mph. I only wore a long sleeve thermal jersey over it and I was able to stay warm. Of course it was cold right at the start but once I got warmed up I stayed there.Note: When you start out on a bike ride in the cold you should be cool/cold in your gear. You should never be warm and comfy when you start a cold ride because you will eventually heat up and sweat. Then you will be cold.I was never overly uncomfortable, which is all you can ask for when you are riding a bike in near freezing weather.I like the tightness of the shirt. It assures that there is a layer of high tech wicking material in contact with my skin at all times.People need to keep in mind this shirt is supposed to be very tight. You should have to pull it on much like a wet suit. If you don't like tight clothing you should purchase the fitted version.I've never been let down by any UA gear.

Read a lot of reviews before buying and decided to go for my original size with all my regular cloths which is medium. If you want a good compression, then go with your normal size, but if you want it to be tight but not really compressed, then go for a size higher. If you want something just fitted and not really tight, then this product isn't what you're looking for, there are many other gym and workout tops made to be fitted or loose. A compression top is not made to be just fitted or loose, so no need complaning it's too tight when you shouldn't even be buying the product in the 1st place. The idea of compression gear is to compress, just like a bandage.Nobody uses a bandage and expects it not to be tight.I'm happy with the product, it really works by holding all my muscles and reduces pains during workouts. I'm also getting a size larger just to get less compression......but there's absolutely no reason to go 2 sizes up

The navy blue is a nice colour. The compression is fine as a base layer in winter weather. Despite the confusing branding of heatgear being suitable for hot weather (and cold gear suitable for cold weather), I found this long sleeve shirt was fine to wear in colder weather like 8-10 degrees celsius. Unless you are in sub-zero degrees celsius temperatures, you don't need the thicker materials of coldgear, and heatgear should work fine. Furthermore, I found myself overheating during a run outside in these temperatures and found it harder to breathe at first due to the compression, so these are really suitable for any weather despite the confusing branding, which I only understood what it meant after I bought them.Overall these are quite well made (in Cambodia), and should last a long time if you take care of them.

It's UA... They fit great, wear well, and are actually quite cool. I have to wear them at work for my tattoos, and I am naturally a hot guy, so I try to wear as little as possible in the summer. However, these cover my tats, and don't make me sweat profusely. The only thing that could be better is the price! I don't feel like I am getting my money's worth at $40+ per shirt - Presumably, we are paying for the name... I don't mind paying for a good product, but I feel like UA could make these, and probably do, for 1/4 or 1/8 of their cost, and still make a profit by cutting their price to the high $20's - mid $30's... FYI - this shirt is much "redder" and brighter than it appears in the picture.I've had several people comment on how bright it is, saying they could "see me coming from a mile away..."

I wanted some extra compression tops and had previously owned some UnderArmour gear that Iw as very happy with so decided to get some of their newer colourways. Was a little confused on exactly what size to buy so ordered medium and small with the view of trying both and seeing which fit best?A quick google stated that I should feel compressed when wearing them...(which makes sense with a compression top) and having tried both, the Small definitely gave me this feeling.Having lost a good amount of weight over the last few years and now toning my upper body, I like the fact that I can see any improvements made to my physique whilst wearing the tops as well.Very comfortable on and the wash nicelyand feel great after each wash.I will definitely buy more as and when needed

Rated 5 stars because this is absolutely perfect for my needs, only a hair too large due to my small frame (I'm actually a small/medium and that's what I should've ordered instead of the medium, but it seems they're unavailable in black).I do however have a problem though, under less than 2 weeks of use (I do 4 1h30 - 2h dynamic stretching/warm ups a week to improve my leg flexibility) the stitching on the front left at the bottom of the top where the grey stitching meets the black stitching is coming apart and not too sure what to do about it...All in all perfect, so long as the stitching holds up...EDIT: The stitching issue wasn't too hard to fix,it wasn't coming apart just a loose thread...

I literally cant go to the gym without this now. I used to see all the people in the gym and made fun of them wearing things like this. Then I saw these on Amazon and thought that id give them a go.They are actually really good. they hold you nice and tight all over and make you somehow feel like you're all pumped up and getting bigger as you work out, while also i assume helping you not pull any muscle or have any injuries. They suck the sweat off you too and keep it quite cold somehow, so you don't overheat.Would really recommend these as I didn't see them cheaper anywhere else.I would say they fit as expected, but you have to expect that it is super tight all over.

This is probably my favourite compression shirt I have, I've been using it both for the gym and as a normal shirt. I can clearly say that the compression works, putting this shirt on the day after heavy workouts definitively speeds up the recovery and makes you feel less sore from the get go. As for the workouts itself it keeps you cool and dry as the description states, only thing I dislike is the bottom "seal" which should hold the bottom in place but is not tight enough at times. This is a minor detail however and it shouldn't stop it from getting this.I will definitively buy more gear from UA since I've only had very good experiences from their gear

Fits great, almost like a second skin and it's breathable which is the most important part for me.Excellent quality. If you are into bodyweight explosive workouts, wearing this won't get in the way like most shirts would.Even when you sweat it won't get heavy nor affect your performance.Note though that in spite being very comfortable, it's tight so you may find it difficult to come off. My advice is to get medium if you normally wear small. Get the small size if you normally wear extra small etc.I'm 1.67 65kg . Small feels good but taking it off after training takes a bit of effort. Medium would probably feel the same but easier to take it of.

Having used the short sleeved version extensively before, I was looking for something with the same breathability but cover my arms as well during a long endurance event. I wore this while running during the early morning hours until noon, about 8 hours in total with no chaffing issues (didn't use any lubrication, but had my nipples taped). The garment worked well protecting me from bugs/mosquitoes and sun rays while allowing sweat to evaporate when things started heating up.Compression-wise, it was okay but not as special as the Recharged line of UA. There is a justifiable huge gap in price between Heatgear and Recharged garments though.

I normally wear their sleeveless compression tops for the gym, but bought the long sleeve version to use whilst competing in a mud run OCR.Quality great as with all my previous purchases for my own use (we have had a bad experience with some.of their kids stuff), and it looks as good as new after a pretty hellish day out with plenty of crawling over rough dry ground, ploughing through mud. Had been hesitant to purchase a brand name item for thus purpose as you hear all the usual "whatever you wear will get wrecked), but all my UA items (this tip, tech t shirt, compression leggings and shorts) all came out unscathed. Well impressed.

I already use the Skins A200 compression shorts and calf compressors, and thought that (since this was in my running team colour) a compression top from a top brand would be the same kind of experience. Well it's not. I took into account the sizing advice in other reviews, but this really doesn't feel like a compression garment in the same way as the Skins range. The quality is good, and really I was after some cold protection on my warms which this top does provide, but I'm not getting any of the "compression" assistance I would have expected. The length of arms and body are spot on... Maybe I need to bulk up! ;)
