I bought 4 of these Cold Gear Under Armour Compression tops solely for work in the winter months. I have been wearing them since just before Christmas and they are amazing; light weight, comfy, very warm and great quality! The type of top is in the description so if you don't like things hugging you like a sausage skin then these may not be the best thing for you...I am a 44" inch chest and a 17" neck and so went for an XL. The top fits perfectly and even flatters the stomach region as it 'compresses' everything :p yes a bit of a belly, but this does not effect the fit as it stretches lovely without compromising the compression fit! What I really liked about the top compared to previous UA compression tops is the neck like.It is not too tight (which with previous tops was irritating) and has a very smooth feel to it. comfort personified :)If I had to pick a fault, and it would be picky, the stitching running from the pit to the cuff has started to slightly fluff. hopefully this does not lead to fraying or undoing of stitching.I would highly recommend this top for anyone working outdoors, or as intended for sports enthusiasts.

This is by far, one of the best purchases I've ever made. I have purchased other compression-type under garments, but NOTHING has worked as well as this Under Armour Men's ColdGear Armour Compression. I am a soccer referee, and recently, I was refereeing an outdoor game, and the whole time, I was freezing even though I thought I had plenty of layers to keep me warm. I immediately searched the internet for any advise on "staying warm" in extremely cold weather. The Under Armour Men's ColdGear Armour Compression kept coming up as one of the best base layers for staying warm in extremely cold weather. I could not agree more! This base layer is Fantastic. It does everything it said it would do!I don't know the technology behind it, but it allows me to sweat so the material is breathable, and, yet, it retains my body heat to keep me nice and warm! I have used it a few times now in extremely cold weather, and I've stayed nice and warm, even when it was raining one game! Under Armour is a true game changer, and I have been very impressed with their products. You will NOT be disappointed with this product!

I have bought other UA ColdGear Compression long sleeve shirts in the past, as I live in #PureMichigan and have to work outside at times during the winter months. This is the first one that is a bit different. It's not as thick as the others I own. Also, the interior of this shirt is some type of light fleece feeling material. I have yet to test it out, but I'm sure it will be fine. I was just shocked in how different it was than the other ColdGear items I have bought and still use from the past (the most recent being four years ago). This could be a good thing, I don't know yet.I also found this compression shirt to be quite a bit tighter than the other compression shirts I've bought in the past.I know that it seems silly to say that a compression shirt is tight, but this one is a bit tighter than normal. I thought for a minute that maybe I should send in back and get the next size up, but the arm length is perfect and I don't want to be swimming in a shirt that is too long in the arms. So I'm keeping it.

Good shirt but if you have muscular forearms, be ready to experience a new definition of the word "compression." While the shirt looks like it's built for a muscular physique - and it does stretch - it's a bit misleading. Look at the arms past the elbow and you'll see how thin they are. I'd say that this is made more for the average person with not so much give. If you're overweight (I'm not) then forget about trying to fit into your size. Stretch will not give that much. Otherwise it's a pretty nice shirt and does its job. Will not keep you very warm, just add a layer below another wicking layer on top, such as your typical running shirt. If you're a little muscular and like your shirts tight but not extremely tight, you might want to order a size up if you've got a more muscular physique or you'll find marks on your skin after you run from the compression. On me the collar fits snugly and I liked that fit although the rest is a bit too tight.

UA ColdGear, one of the best base layers for winter on the market. And if you buy them whilst on sale on amazon you're getting great value for your money. Anything under £20 is a good deal!I find the sizing pretty good, I'm 5'11 and 79kg, fairly slim and the large is snug but not too tight.I like to layer it under a t shirt for the gym, keeps you warm for the start and lets you breath while you get warmer as your session progresses without becoming too sweaty. The quality feels good, I've used UA HeatGear base layers and they've held up well for the past couple years so I'm expecting similar experiences with the ColdGear. Hopefully more as the material is thicker. It washes well, and dries easily without using a tumble dryer.I sometimes use them to just wear around the house when it's cold, cheaper than putting the thermostat above 18!

I purchased the Under Armour Cold Gear to wear as a base layer for cold weather mountain biking. I had been searching for a good, yet reasonably priced long sleeve base layer for a while, when I saw this product advertised in an email from an online bike shop. I did a bunch of research... found lots of positive reviews, and bought it. It fits great, is very comfortable and most importantly, it keeps me warm. I would definitely recommend this product to wear under any athletic gear to battle cold temperatures. It will also work as a solo top in spring and fall weather. The fit is tight by design, so if you are in between sizes, definitely opt for the larger size.I typically wear size small bike jerseys and the medium fits me perfectly.

The quality of this product IS AMAZING!!!! I am a Small but I ordered an Medium because I don't like to feel super "compressed". If you are like me, I suggest you order 1 size larger :)This compression mock is beautiful... I use it for running, crossfit and snowboarding. I LOVE IT!!! and you will love it too... I guarantee that :)Info about this amazing product:* 87% Polyester, 13% Elastane* Imported* Dual-layer fabric with an ultra-warm, brushed interior & a slick, fast-drying exterior* 4-way stretch fabrication allows greater mobility in any direction* Moisture Transport System wicks sweat & dries fast* Smooth, chafe-free flatlock seam construction

They work wonders and keep me nice and warm in the 20's start to get suspect in the teen's. The sleeves are a little long so lots of slack rolled up on my arm. It is very tight and snug(which I enjoy and expected because usually with under garments they are loose and don't allow for good movement). I'm 5'11" 230 so may be expected. But if I go up in size to accommodate the tightness in the belly/chest, the sleeve length and length of the torso goes up which causes more problems...hence the 4 star vs 5 star review. Overall I would buy again, because they breath well unlike cheaper brands, nike products similar to this keep you warmer but don't breath as well.

I work in Yellowstone National Park, spending 90% of my time working outdoors. I've used these in temperatures ranging from 45°F down to 0°F. Between 45° and 30° they maintain a pretty comfortable temperature no matter what you are doing. Between 30° and about 15° you have to stay pretty active to maintain the same level of comfort. Below 10° you still need to add a third layer to keep warm. They are not as worm as most long underwear, but if you are working in low temperatures, they don't get too hot. I think they would be great for hikers, joggers, or people who work quite a bit outdoors. Probably not so much if you want to sit outside when it's 20°.

Great shirt for cold days. I have used these shirts for both running and biking. At temps below 40 degrees they will keep you warm. On the bike, I wear this shirt with a bike parka over it and I stay warm with temps in the 20's and 30's. For running, this shirt works well with a light running jacket. They retain body heat, so when you start your workout you may be cold. However, within a mile or so it will retain your body heat to the point where it will really warm up. At temps much above 40-45 it is too warm. I have several of these and use them throughout the winter. They are a tight fit, but they wouldn't work well if they weren't.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas as he walks the dog in very chilly temperatures for 4 miles. He usually wears a sweatshirt over it depending on the temperature and sometimes ends up getting too warm. I bought this in large, he’s 5’10 and 170lbs. Fits perfectly. I also bought him the Baeleaf windproof pants which he loves because they really do cut the wind down and keep him warm on those chilly NE days which here also give way too strong winds. He wears LLBEAN sneaker boots that are extremely comfortable and add to his entire ensemble. Highly recommend all products!

Really like this as a base layer, not as thick or interesting as the jacquard CG version and the neck is a bit too snug but otherwise this feels really warm and comfortable the moment you put it on.It's great to have the UA name but I'm not sure I'd be so happy if I'd paid upwards of £20 for it, as it was I was lucky to get it for around £16 but the prices seem to be all over the place. I had no idea there were so many different versions of UA tops in particular but I'm pleased to see that it is possible to build up a collection without a massive investment.

I suffer with the cold and this keeps me lovely and toasty as a base layer. Size wise I’m just about in no mans land, on the upper edge of small and the lower edge of medium. I read a few reviews here and people were recommending as it’s a compression top to take the larger size which I did. The fit is perfect but I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. After exercise, when you’ve been sweating for a bit, how do you take it off in less than ten minutes without dislocating both shoulders to make it easier ?? ?

This top definitely keeps you warm. A little too warm in fact, too warm to workout inside, and a bit too warm for morning runs in the UK winter as well; it gets a bit stuffy and the turtle neck becomes a nightmare as you pop your finger in to try to ventilate your body heat. I normally wear it as a thermal layer under my clothes to keep me warm on a cold day, and it's perfect because it's so light and I can cut down on my thicker layers. It's sleek and the compression fit makes it easy to put other clothes on top.

I have a few of UA heatgear compression tops and like them a lot, so though I’d try a coldgear one for the winter. Top quality as expected from UA. When I first put this on I found it a lot tighter than my others (same size). I know they are supposed to be tight but was considering changing for a size up. However, after the first session in it I would say it’s a perfect fit, perhaps the thicker material just gives a bit more compression? Keeps me nice and warm and comfortable. For reference I’m 90kg and wear a M.
