TL;DR:8/10 overall - totally worth it. THE PRICE IS INSANE!!9/10 support10/10 comfort8/10 fit5/10 looksIf you run, read the last paragraphI bought this sports bra as an option to wear when I am having tattoos touched up - I have some in the middle of my back which means a racerback style doesn't work year-round. Also, sometimes it's nice to wear a traditional tank when I am working out, and a double-strap bra such as this is a great option.I was impressed with how lightweight this bra is. In fact, before I tried it on I made the assumption that I would have to return it because it would not be supportive enough. Boy, was I wrong. This bra is extremely supportive, I couldn't be happier, honestly! On the support scale, I'd give it a 9/10, and recommend it to anyone. The bra is extremely comfortable. It doesn't itch, bind, fold, or fall down anywhere. For comfort I'd give it a 10/10.As to fit, I always have a bit of trouble with the sized cups. I got a 34C in this bra (since that's the size I am now) and it does seem a little roomy, but with the right amount of adjusting things are where they ought to be. I think for most people this probably isn't going to be an issue; however, if you've experienced this strange phenomenon in the past, it might be worth your while to get one a size smaller than usual (for instance, I probably would have been better off with a 34B) and the normal size. Then, return the one that doesn't satisfy you. For fit, I'd give it an 8/10, because I think the issue is with me and not the bra.As to design aesthetic, the bra looks kinda hinky when it's on. Whoever decided that adding those purple swooshes on the side would be flattering just didn't road test this on any women before sending it into production. It just looks weird. Not so weird that I'm sending it back, because let's face it: this bra is a GREAT PRICE. So looks come second. Anyhow, on the aesthetic side, it gets a 5/10. Honestly, if it was just a solid color it wouldn't be so bad.If you're a runner, I'd say this is a good middle-distance bra. I will wear it for runs up to (but not exceeding) 10-12 miles. I think anything longer and the fit issue may cause some trouble for me, including chafing in an area where you really don't want to be chafed. For weight lifting, it's awesome. No binding or impingement of range of motion. For any medium to high impact activities, like Zumba, dancing, aerobics, running, tennis, whatever, I'd give this a thumbs up. Enjoy the bra, enjoy the price!

This bra gives much better support than most of its competition, both wired and wire-free. It can ALMOST handle very high impact exercises, like jumping jacks. After trying on a bunch of its competition, I literally bought two of these and doubled them up for high-impact exercises. (I didn't expect to have to do that with $60 bras!) For everything else, including some running, this bra gives excellent support. It's the hard bouncing/jumping it can't quite handle. So, let's run it down...PROS:- Very comfortable. If you like to wear your sports bra for a bit before working out and end up needing to respond to emails for two hours, you aren't going to feel chafed or uncomfortable. You could wear this all day.- Strong support - not perfect, but very good and will handle most exercises (better than many wired sports bras I've tried)- Some nice colors (though it peeves me that most of the great colors aren't available in my high cup sizes - I'm an H)- Easy to put on (no 10 columns of clasps, no high-back clasps, etc.)CONS:- Strap length slips like crazy. If you need these on the tightest setting to keep you supported during your workout, you might as well get a different bra, because halfway through your workout, the straps will have slipped to full extension. It seems to be a fabric issue.- NOT enough support for high-impact exercises like burpees or jumping jacks (or military drills, as another reviewer pointed out)- "Ergonomic" straps twist up and are uncomfortable if you've adjusted the strap length; in fact, they've given me friction burns (and that's never happened with another bra)- Compression bra does minimize and reduce shape (I don't mind, but I know some might)In short: Strong support, but not for jumping jacks or burpees (so, not "extreme" control); comfortable, but straps extend on their own, reducing support and potentially causing friction burns.UPDATE: I use this bra all the time, and I've purchased it in all kinds of colors. While the straps are annoying, wearing two of them for extreme impact sports removes that issue. My only disappointment that matters anymore is that I come back every few months, and there are never any new colors worth buying anymore. For a while there, there were so many. Really disappointed. No reason (excuse) to buy anymore.

Reading some of the negative reviews on here, it brings home a very important point for bras in general, but especially for sport bras: you need to get fitted. Most women wear the wrong bra size, period, and when it came to the Anita Extreme Control Sport Bra, my size was very different from what I wear in "normal" bras. I'm on Amazon purchasing my 2nd one of these bras because it's more convenient and less expensive, but I got my first one at Intimacy, a boutique bra store that does amazing bra fittings.I am a 38DD and I love this bra for high impact aerobics and running. I wear it three times a week to Richard Simmons' class, which means I'm literally jumping up and down in it for an hour straight. Not only is it comfortable on, my boobs barely move (a miracle!), I don't get uni-boob and it looks nice under most of my tops. I've also worn it running. My size in Anita last May was a 40E. I just bought a 38E because I've gotten a bit smaller around, but basically: my Anita sport bra size it not the same cup size as in "normal" bras. I'm really glad I got fitted the first time around, because my previous "novice" bra-buying self totally would have bought a 38DD (or a 38D, as I used to delude myself about my boob size) and it wouldn't have fit or been comfortable. So that is to say, I find this bra perfect for big boobs and for high impact, and I think the key is to get fitted. (or, at least, find it at a store -- I think Macy's carries them? -- and try on multiple sizes until you find the right one.) I'm a fairly standard U.S. plus-size (size 16) and I took some of my friends who are sizes 24-28 and they also got Anita bras that fit like a dream. I think it's just a great sport bra for bigger (large band size) and/or large chested women who want to work out. Previously, I hated anything high impact because I could never find a good sport bra. Am v. happy now! (plus this price is awesome -- I paid $70 at the boutique)

I purchased this bra from Lingerie Divia- Amazon, (also know as GiGi's Closet) and I love it. Finally I have a sports bra or every day bra that is comfortable and fits. No uniboob, and no bounce, no over spill. This bra is fit to your exact size. European sizes do not add 5 inches to your band size! Instead they add it to the cup. Here is what I learned from reading other websites. Measure the circumference (not super tight) of the area just below your breasts where the band will reside. That is you band size. Then measure the circumference over the top of your breast (over the nipples). Subtract the band size from breast measurement and you have your cup size. One inch difference is a size A,two inch size B and so on.I also found a place that specialized in bra fittings in my town. Best to double check these measurements with a professional. But once you do, the world is wide open to bras that will support you and look great too. I am no way affiliated with the above seller; I just love the product and will buy from them again. In years of searching I have never found a sports bra that gave comfort and control like this one. Years ago I gave up on finding a regular bra that fit, so I wore for 5 years a Moving Comfort Fiona Bra. It was a step-up at the time, but mashed uni-boob prevailed. As the bras wore out there was no support to my boobs and it actually gave me back pain. This Anita bra is different. It really supports my breasts and they are not smashed. The band is true to size. Make sure that you measure under your breasts for your band size, and that is the size you should order. Do not add 5 inches to that size or you will have a bra that is way too big and will not support you! This bra should fit snug initially with wear it will stretch out so you can move it gradually to the inner hooks. Don't ever dry it, unless you want to shrink it a bit.

This is a great bra. Even though it has seams on the front that are visible through your shirt, they're there for a reason. If you study the construction, there are heaftier, support panels on the bottom half of the cup. I use the bra for running. It does a good job of preventing the girls from bouncing up, and a FANTASTIC job of preventing them from crashing down. The only thing I would like to see is a racerback version of this bra (which I wrote the company about) because I can't wear it with about half of my tops. The bra cost enough without having to buy all new workout tops.Incidentally, I got a reply from the customer service representative at Anita who had the same opinion I have about a racerback option. She told me she'd forward my feedback to the design team. Great company! This is not to confuse the the Anita Company with this seller - the packaging the bra came in was less than great. The box was shipped in an envelope and arrived crushed. If I had to return the bra for any reason, they would not have been happy. Be sure about your size before buying, get professionally measured (most department stores do it). Most women have no idea what their true bra size is (I had no idea I was a 36D, I thought I was a 38C). This will prevent the need for returns. In the end, I plan to buy a second bra, one is simply not enough. It's totally depressing to go back to the traditional uni-boob sports bras.

Trying to put on a pullover sports bra is akin to the cat trying to squeeze herself in to the empty soda box - neither of you are getting out of it gracefully, and you may very well end up dislocating something. Add some sweat and moisture to the mix? Forget it, you're trapped in that bra for the rest of your life. But then a friend suggested sports bras with fasteners like a regular bra, and I couldn't order fast enough. I even considered that it might be the one positive, but I might have to give up support or comfort, and was pleasantly surprised to get the full package with this bra. The fasteners make wearing this bra a breeze, the wide straps stay firmly in place without being right on your neck, and the band underneath stays firmly in place and doesn't roll up or creep in to awkward places. I also liked that it didn't just mash my chest in to being nonexistent - I don't necessarily have a lot of chest, but I like what I do have and I feel more feminine in this bra than I have in others.I got this one several months ago to test it out and I like it so much that I'm back for a second one. The first is holding up beautifully, but a second for when one is in the wash is ideal.

Make sure you give this sports bra a real chance: when I first put it on I was not sure about the fit (it is hardly padded and relies on the stretchy material and thick straps/clasp to provide support - while also not compressing you into a pancake). I've never experienced such an "engineered" design before and I was doubtful. However, upon reading that it received a Red Dot Design award and was designed in Germany, I thought - hey, let's see what it can do. I took it for a spin in a long sweaty yoga class and it was fantastic. I never felt the need to adjust it once throughout the class and it kept me perfectly in place through inversions and vinyasas.1)The straps stay in place and they don't dig in (have adjustments in the back) or create chaffing2) The wide band at the bottom is formed such that it doesn't slip around at all3) The material has a strange somewhat textured feel that absorbs and dries sweat quicklyFor fit: I usually wear a 34D in bras, and that's the size I ordered. I could imagine trying a 34C and having a little less fabric in the cups (since there is no padding) but I don't see it hindering the support.

I was recently fitted at a high-end bra shop locally and they had me try on this bra as part of the process. It was love at first wear - I'm *obsessed* with this bra.At my fitting I discovered that like so many women, I had been wearing the wrong size - I had measured myself as a 32G but I'm actually a 32E. I suspect many women around my size who are complaining that this bra allowed too much "jiggle" may be wearing the incorrect size, as I initially felt that the E cup size was too small until my fitter showed me how to put on and fasten bras so they sit properly. This bra is the perfect combo of supportive and comfortable. I wear it for workouts including jumping and sprinting with nary a jiggle, but it feels so good and fits so well that it's my go-to option for hanging out at home. It's the first bra I've purchased in probably a decade that doesn't have an underwire and I'm so happy to have discovered this brand!Since buying my first one in the store, I've purchased 2 more, and sent one to my younger sister, who's working as a camp counselor this summer. We both LOVE them, and I am already planning to order more!

I Just had a baby (Well... 8 months ago I just had a baby. My wow time flies). I am still breatsfeeding and I have been tearing through regular bras, nursing bras and forget about finding a sports bra that actually fits! I am a full-time student and I am takign a body boot camp and strength and conditioning class. This sports bra makes me feel secure enough to jump around in front of the class. My breasts arer large, so they still bounce no matter what but I have no pain, and no uniboob/double boob embarasement going on. I purchased the Anita nursing bra that quickly became my favorite because of the badded shoulder straps so that is what influenced my decisions to buy this sports bra.I am very happy so far. I've had it about a month and it is still holding up well through machine washes and line dries. The shoulders are just barely starting to slip but I think I need to accept the fact that with my size I am going ot wear bras out often no matter how well they are made. I hope you have a good experience with this sports bra as well. The material breathes well and doesnt feel icky. If you are on the fence, give it a try.

This bra is perfect for me. I'm wearing 38D and it feels amazing. It compresses everything without hurting at any point, and there is barely any movement at all. I do a very high-impact aerobic dance class 7 days a week and I am well endowed, and this gives me excellent support. No uni-boob, no slipping straps. The bra is easy to put on (no complicated system of hooks, just the normal 3 in the back) and is incredibly comfortable. I wasn't aware of my chest at all during the entire class (the routines involve a lot of jumping and skipping and some shimmying, so this is a big deal!). After wearing it once and loving it, I bought another one.I would buy 4 more if I weren't planning on losing more weight and hopefully going down another size or two in the somewhat near future! One thing other people noted are the seams that cross diagonally across the front. I agree that they are somewhat visible under my workout shirts, but only if you're really looking for them. Under a normal cotton t-shirt they're not visible. And I'm not terribly bothered by it at all so it doesn't affect my rating.

I have bought an endless parade of sports bras from multiple manufacturers in decades of wearing bras. I wore Jogbras when I was in basic training (this was when they were just in transition to being owned by Playtex), so let me say that this is the first sports bra I've tried that didn't suck. It's German, so that means European sizing (i.e. 40DD US size is a 40E), which means you really should make sure to size properly.I tried this out this morning in barre3 class and it held my breasts without feeling compressed or like I'm going to soak my bra from my sweat. Bounce? What bounce? There's a mesh underlayer that helps with breathability. Yes, it's not a cheap bra,but considering I've spent as much buying cheaper that didn't feel this good to me on first fitting/first wear, I'd rather pay for what I get - a bra that held my breasts supportively, one that wasn't a pullover (no 3-hook wonder here, either, this is serious hook-and-eye stuff), and kept my breasts from bouncing. Another retailer calls this its Seismic Wonder...I totally agree. :-)

I am a 36F/36DDD and have had a lot of trouble finding a sports bra that comes in my size, much less one that is comfortable and provides support. This bra is the closest I have found to what I am looking for and is well worth the price. This bra runs true to size and is well constructed. I have washed it many times in the delicate cycle in my washer and it has no visible signs of wear. I take Zumba classes which involve lots of dance moves and jumping; this bra can handle it. The shoulders are padded for comfort and the separate cup design seems to help reduce movement and uncomfortable feelings associated with it. I wouldn't expect a miracle from this bra - if you have a dis-proportionally large chest, there is only so much a garment will do to reduce the discomfort experienced through exercising. For instance, although I can dance and hop with no problem in it, I still wouldn't want to jump rope. However, I feel that this bra is the best shot at comfort and support you have using the technology we have today.

This bra is probably the most comfortable I have ever worn in my life. It is soft and fits nicely. There are no underwires to poke you and you feel more craddled than squished like most sports bras. I got this originally because I am tired of all the hastle of dealing with bras that I fall out of and I needed a good workout bra that I did not have to pull over my head. Now I am THRILLED I bought this bra because it has started to releave back pain between my shoulder blades! I really wish I would have gotten this a lot sooner! Not only is it really comfortable and soft and keeps you cool, but it also is pretty stylish in its coloration and I would not be ashamed to wear this in a workout facility without other coverings. Some sports bras you find are just horribly ugly and you would think someone with 0 fashion sense put them together, but this one is great! I also have the all white one (it looks more like a 90yr old woman bra so I would not suggest wearing it at the gym without other coverings!)

I truly believe that they made this bra with barbed wire. It pokes and stabs all over, especially at the seems of the straps. I've washed it and thrown it in the dryer several times to try to soften it up. That has helped a little bit, but not much. I'll keep trying, though, because of it's other great features. It is great for control, I am able to run in it without any bounce. Also, I can put it on by myself without needing to be a contortionist (I'm beginning to believe sports bra manufacturers think women's arms are detachable!). I'm actually thinking about trying to hand sew little patches of cloth over the really bad seems.Update: I've worn/washed/worn/washed this bra several times over and the poking parts have softened completely!I'm changing my review to five stars. Now it is truly my favorite running bra. I don't even take the other ones out of the drawer anymore. I will be buying more soon! This time I'll know to wash and dry it several times before I wear it.

I don't often rate items on Amazon, but this one was impressive enough to warrant it.I am a 38G and have had a HECK of a time finding a sports bra. I joined a gym but it was so painful to even wear my old one I never wanted to go. I ordered a few and tried them all on... this was the ONLY one that I kept - and I even went back and ordered another one in another color! The price is pretty good. The first one I bough (a few weeks ago) was like $42, but when I bought today it was on sale for $35. All the other ones I bought were almost twice that!!The only reason I didn't give this 5 whole stars (would have given 4.5 if I could have) is because the material could be a little bit softer...but I'm WAY over that now. The support is amazing for it not having an underwire, and the shoulder straps have just the right amount of padding in them.Try it, you'll like it.
