I've had a couple of these now and installed them in laptops that my customers have chucked out because they were "too slow", So I ended up with a couple of Dell Inspiron cheapy laptops, you know the guff they push out of the big retail stores. Any way, ones an Intel Core i3 and the other an i5. I upgraded them both from 4GB to 8GB RAM and installed these SSHD's. They are fantastic and will last my kids for years. They are lightning quick and I suspect that with Seagate behind them if there's a problem with them I stand a fair chance of getting them fixed or replaced pretty quickly.

If like me you have an older AC computer that has a version of os X that does not support trim, which means that it cannot run an SSD. It is a simple and quick performance fix.The use of an 8gb SSD cache means that access to regularly used files is far faster than on a conventional HHD. Yet you retain high capacity storage.Since fitting my mac has had new lease of life and is a pleasure to use.Strongly recommended

Good compromise between the cheap cost & slow speed of of mechanical drives & the high cost and fast speed of SSD's. Free supporting software can be downloaded from Seagate web site to do basic cloning/partitioning tasks. I found Partitioning software would treat like any other drive but only the Seagate software would clone operating systems successfully.

Made a massive difference to loading times. Computer now feels rapid an that is a 2nd Gen i3 2120. Booting into Os is now done in a quater of the time, Google now feels rapid. where before it felt sluggish an slow.If looking to Upgrade a old Mechanical HDD Do it. You are getting close to ssd speeds at a fraction of the cost.

I have bought this SSHD as an inexpensive alternative of SSD.To be honest I wasn’t sure how good is this idea.After month practice I can say that I agree with common opinion – integral disk performance is distinct higher relative to HDD, but of course not so fast as SSD. But it is much cheaper.

A quick little hard drive. Ideal for small computers and laptops.Boots in 20 seconds with a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 preview.Plenty of drive space for he casual user for photos and documents.Supports SATA connections.

A really nice fast little drive with 8GB nandflash cache. Cut boot time by half and opens apps like lightning.I have installed this type of drive in both of my laptops and my desktop pc. their performance is quite outstanding.

Might not be just the SSD part thats fast for this one, when compared to my old samsung 500gb hdd that came with laptop, even the hdd part is much faster. If you can find this for less than 40 quid, its really a bargain.

Installing this hybrid SSD has boosted my wife's 8 year old computer has made it faster than it was when brand new and she is very impressed with its performance. This was an amazing purchase, well worth the money paid.

GREAT DRIVES GREAT PRICE NOT AS FAST AS TOSHIBA SSHD BUT VAST IMPROVEMENT OVER STANDARD HDD. DISK CAME WITH WINDOWS 7 PRO INSTALLED BUT I FORMATED AND INSTALLED HOME PREMIUM INSTEAD!

Easy to install drive, fast read and write speeds. The MacBook pro late 2009 model I installed this drive into boots twice as fast to the OS . Highly Recommended

A great drive and the SSD hybrid does exactly what it says - it just take one or 2 boots to adjust and then it flies - very quiet and a great price too

Replaced a stock 1TB hard drive in an HP laptop with this drive. Boot times are now noticeably quicker and app loading times have been sped up as well

Bought to replace an aging HDD. It's reliable have noticed my laptop is quieter. No issues at all drive integrity checks all positive. Slimmer drive.
