I had a bad scar on my leg from a burn which I had to cover for my graduation. This lotion version is much easier to use than the spray. The spray can be quite messy and you have to rub it in well anyway so its better to start off with the lotion.I used a tanning mitt to spread the lotion all over my legs. You have to work quite quickly to make sure its buffed in well with no streaks, as its harder to smooth out once it starts to dry. I would recommend exfoliating and then using a body lotion before hand (let it dry first before applying the Sally Hansen) so the colour doesn't stick to any dry patches of skin.It smooths everything out and blurs out bruises and fine marks on your legs.

Although I have medium skin tone, I ordered the 'light' glow because of reviewers saying others were too 'orange'. This is an attractive light tan which doesn't look obvious at all.It goes on easily, (don't need much, it spreads and blends nicely,) and I expect you could add another 'coat' if you want more coverage, but for me, just one thin coat gives my legs a nice natural tanned appearance and seems to reduce the appearance of 'lumpy veins'. It has a matt appearance, and I applied it yesterday morning, left it on overnight but worrying about my bed sheets being stained this morning, but they are not.Be aware though, that I used a thin coat, and no other cream under or over it.Update:Washing the product away was fairly easy,

I had never heard of this product before, and was looking for a foundation to cover the veins that look like bruises and other blemishes, when my legs are untanned. Used for a dinner/dance this weekend, put it on in the day whilst getting ready to travel, let the lotion dry, and then put my jeans on to travel. The lotion remained on, rubbed off a little on clothes, but still looked good for the evening. I must say, that reading other reviews, it had been mentioned that the lotion does not rub off on clothes, but I found it did little in the evening. As for covering up the blemishes, it did a wonderful job and I felt confident. I have an olive skin and so the medium glow is good, but not for the paler skin,

I used this for the first time ever for a spring wedding I was a guest at. I wasn't expecting much but I was very impressed. It looked really dark when I first put it on, but once I'd rubbed it in properly, it gave me a lovely and natural looking golden glow. I find fake tan often looks streaky on me and makes my skin tone look uneven. This, however, made my legs look smooth and evenly toned. It seems to hide minor imperfections very well. It lasted perfectly all day, and didn't come off until I rubbed it off in the shower the next morning.I only used it on my legs, but I think you could use it on your arms effectively too.I tried using it again recently in the middle of a heatwave and it wasn't as successful - it was incredibly hot when I used it,

Love this, use it now instead of fake tan.It does rub off a fair bit on my clothes but I still don't like to use anything else.I sometimes fake tan and then use it which may not sound it but I think it looks pretty natural!I've used all the colours and this one and the 'tan' is my favourite. It has no smell and is really easy to apply. Also the price does fluctuate but it's always cheapest on amazon.I do find though when I wash my hair it's all in my hair!! Which is a tad annoying. But not noticeably so, it doesn't change my hair colour visibley it's obviously just around my nape it must transfer from my back.But all in all great stuff and I've also got most of my friends now using it.

Excellent product! I have vitiligo on my legs (white patches of skin where there is no pigment) and this lotion really helps to conceal the different skin tones (which are quite noticeable otherwise!) Easy to apply, drys almost immediately and doesn't leave marks or stain clothes. It stays on in perfect condition until you wash it off with soap. Gives a lovely, even, sheer finish to skin and hides all sorts of blemishes and imperfections, even spider veins, without looking at all fake or cakey. It can seem a bit orange while you apply it but once dry the result is absolutely natural. I love it! I received this as a free trial from Influenster in my VoxBox and I was extremely weary to try it as most self-tanners leave everything orange and you look like an oompa-loompa afterwards. I fell in love with this product, and more-so its sister product the Airbrush spray. I'm extremely Irish-fair-skinned, so this color was just a little too dark. I went a purchased the lighter fair skinned tone in the spray and it was perfect! It looked as though I was wearing stockings when I wasn't. I've always been extremely self-conscious about my legs and their colors and just overall appearance, but I can say with 100% surety that using this product actually gave me confidence! I'm not joking!

I didn't know what to expect at all. Smeared it all over my legs one night before going out and was really impressed. Maybe more so because I thought it'd be rubbish! The colour was right for me, I'm olive skinned and I use Medium. It looks like you're wearing tights but without wearing tights. Gives an all over even-ness. My friend saw it on me and was equally impressed, said she wanted to get some. It comes off in the shower but is resilient enough to wear out and about. I feel self conscious about showing my legs without a tan because of spider and green veins. It doesn't cover them completely but gives enough of a result for me to feel comfortable to wear a skirt without tights.

Bought this to smooth out my legs and give then a bit of color for my bridal shower and i love it! I originally had the spray in the fair color but it was too light for me. The light-medium shade is perfect. I tested it on my foot/ankle and it was a lovely tan color and it didn't fade all day nor did it transfer to clothes or furniture. It also wasn't streaky. It does go on a bit dark when you initially apply it and that made me super nervous but don't worry, as you rub it into your legs like lotion, it develops a nice sunkist color and it matched my skin tone perfectly. It doesn't look orange either which i'm super happy about! The price is great compared to other sunless tanners out there.

Used this over the summer for special occasions. I bought the lighter one, wiped it over skin like makeup. Only used a small amount, so good value for money, easy peasy and not streaky. I applied it, with a before and after approach, 'in comparison' and really liked the result, with the depth of colour and instant improvement. Pesonally, found it better than a tanning moisturiser, because of the depth of coverage and not waiting for it to take effect. No peculiar smell either. To compare with other tanning products, the best one after this would be a spray that is applied by brush, by another leading cosmetic high street shop. I didn't feel too orange either, but maybe that is a personal decision.

I have been using Airbrush Legs for many years, longer than I can remember/dare to admit and it is without a doubt a fantastic product! Remember it isn't a fake tan the product washes off with soap and water and is more like foundation for your legs. Provides a great tan colour and covers up any little unsightly marks, scars etc fabulously! I can't get my legs out with confidence without it! It does come up quite dark so light is probably dark enough for most average skintones. If you are tanned I find Tan provides a more natural tone colour than Medium. Beware some sellers on here have product which has seperated and is watery in stock - this is not the correct consistency!

Wow! I haven’t revealed my legs in shorts or skirts in decades until I discovered this truly miracle lotion in light. As previous reviews warn do not be put off by the colour when you first put it on. When it dries it turns the most realistic colour and blurs out every imperfection. It’s that good it looks like you are wearing stockings. Thank you Sally Hansen I am that happy with the product I could cry! Please don’t ever discontinue this! I remember trying the spray many years ago which is good but too messy, the lotion is much better. It rubs in flawlessly and is very quick to apply. The only thing I would say is it does transfer onto clothing,

Definitely lasts longer than the spray. Good coverage. Will be buying this again before it runs out. All you middle age ladies, if you are like me and worn long skirts and trousers, this has transformed the summer for me, shorts and skirts are back in my wardrobe. My legs are quite scarred at the bottom from skin problems and I would never have laid by the side of a pool confidently. You don't need a lot, apply bottom of legs first (otherwise your boobs will be covered in the stuff) then if you have scarring I have the put a small amount of concealer over (just the scars, or varicose veins) and then put a small amount of HH on your finger and cover over just where the concealer is.

I really like this product. I have extremely fair skin and my legs look a not very attractive blue / purple shade when I get them out. This lotion solves the problem and makes my legs look almost normal! However, if my legs are out it usually means that it's sunny and therefore I also need to wear sun cream. Unfortunately this completely ruins the nice colour from the lotion. The best thing I've found is to use a spray on sunscreen over the top of the product. The colour stays then stays better than with a sun cream lotion. It still affects it slightly though. I would also recommend mixing the product with some body lotion when applying as it makes it a little bit less thick.

I'd been using the airbrush legs spray in the summer as I have pale skin and the spray has a nice fake tan/flaw covering effect on the legs. However, last year i went on holiday and unfortunately acquired about 10 large red insect bite scars so i now need something to hide these marks. I've tried this product three times now and am really happy with it. It provides better coverage than the spray, the colour is darker than my natural skin but once rubbed in looks like a realistic natural tan. It stays put until you wash it off in the bath/shower. My top tip is when you wash it off, use one of those plastic shower puffs as that's a really easy way to make sure it's all removed.
