I have recently become a fan of visual novel games. Although they do not have a lot of "action" they are a nice way to relax, somewhere between watching a film and reading a book.Root Letter was recommended to me as having an excellent story, and I found this to be true. It's a mystery with some very light horror/thriller elements, nothing that would keep you awake at night. You can make different choices at certain points within the story which lead to very different endings. I enjoyed seeing all the different outcomes and trying to get the best ending.I would definitely recommend it to fans of the genre, or newcomers looking for a different type of game experience. However if you are more into action games,

An intriguing mystery with lots of twists and turns makes this a fun investigation of the disappearance of the players high school penpal.
