I've never had a letter opener before but weirdly enough it's one of those things that I wanted - I'm terrible at opening letters normally and just end up ripping everything.This isn't the prettiest thing, and the handle looks comically huge in the picture, but in actual fact it provides for a nice easy grip.The 'blade' is rounded and smooth, so there's no danger of hurting anyone or damaging anything with it.Overall, can't complain at all for the price. Solid letter opener that definitely makes my life a little easier.

Very high quality materials, higher than I expected for such a great low price! The tip of the letter opener is quite rounded and isn’t sharp so it can be hard to open thin letters but usually good for most post. The letter opener is slightly heavy and thick due to the metal used so I would suggest improving that for future versions. However the opener looks very professional, expensive and high quality which I was pleasantly surprised at for such a bargain. I can tell that we will be opening letters together for many years

Brought this as a gift to go with other items as a Christmas present and the recipient was pleased to recieve it.. I purchased this particular one as gave one to my mum a couple years ago and she loved hers, she has used it a lot and is still using it and is still in excelent condition .Great for everyday use , making opening letters easier and less likely to be damaged and also saves fingers from paper cuts.

it certainly does what it suppose to do open letters, it fits nice in the hand , excellent value , and made out of good material , so why the four stars?1 - the blade NOT sharp enough2 - the handle fitting to the blade time will tell if it will become loose or just fall's off as it looks like it has been glued to the blade or pushed clicked into it.having said that well worth buying

Great value and gets the job done! The blade portion works excellently and is sharp enough for paper and blunt enough not to hurt oneself. The handle being quite small is perfect for me and comfortable to the hand but for those with large hands may find the grip a little too small. Maped is a brand that I trust and am always confident in their quality! Just as I wanted!

This is a standard letter opener, mostly blunt, intended to help open paper envelopes. The handle is reasonably comfortable, the blade is a little shorter than average, but not enough to reduce its effectiveness. If you want something longer or sharper then I would suggest looking at the Q-Connect 44836 Letter Opener

Basic and reasonably stylish in design. Would have liked something a little more stylish and a fantasy deign.Yet my fault as I did a rush and desperate buy.5 Stars, it did the job I wanted and easy to grip. Excellent for a rush buy, definitely recommend. Not the rush buy, the letter opener.

This letter opener is lightweight and easy to use. It is not sharp - it doesn't need to be so it will not do much damage if it slipped when you were using it. I bought this item for my husband who is very pleased with it! It does the job well and is not expensive.

Having to open a lot of letters in my job this product is ideal, it is easy to use and practically designed. The best thing is that the product easily opens letters while not being very sharp so that even a clumsy fool like me can't cut myself.

Daughter put a letter opener on her wish list. I spotted this one whilst browsing and took a chance on it. Seems to be well made and has a style to it. Trusted manufacturer as have bought other products over the years from other retailers.

It's cheap, it doesn't feel sharp, but it opens letters effectively and accurately. Though I have others, that cost more and look better, I'm using this all the time and have no reason to complain.

this is a really good product for opening my mail makes no mess and leaves envelope nice and neat would make a good christmas present .the item arrived in record time i will use this site again.

Got this for work as so annoying opening post with my thumb or fingers. Works perfectly neat not too big and does the job. Well made and good price and arrived quickly. Would recommend.

This does what it's supposed to do, whilst being tactile and sturdy. Took a little time to get used to as a little shorter than previous openers, but now sail through my admin.

This is my second purchase for my office desk. I like its form and function and it does the job well. The price is right and delivery was good. What's not to like?
