This was a ridiculous 41p delivered at the time I ordered this (and still the same a couple of months later as I review it) so please bear that in mind - if it's jumped up significantly in price then you might want to discard this.I wasn't expecting much for 41p but this does the job perfectly. It's a letter opener, so not massively heavy duty by design - if you try opening parcel straps and thick tapes etc with it I suspect you will find it won't last that long. For opening letters though it's absolutely fine.Prior to this I hadn't used a letter opener for about 40 years. My parents had what with hindsight seems a rather distasteful one from Spain of a sword in a bull's back,

Great product. Makes life easier. Please see attached video. Seems durable. Used for a few months and the blade is still sharp enough to cut.UPDATE:I thought I would mention this. This is a letter opener not a parcel opener. It is fine for cutting though paper but would struggle with cardboard and this would reduce the longevity of the product. If you are looking for something to open parcels buy a parcel opener/craft knife. However, as a letter opener it works perfectly.If you found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up:)

I have never seen a letter opener like this and was not sure how it would work. It is a little fiddly the first few times but once you get used to handling it, you can open letters easily and cleanly. The blade is very sharp and handled thicker envelopes and some card too. Probably not one to leave lying around if you have little ones though.

I had these on my list and the price went to 41 pence! So I bought 3 ...One to use as a letter and box opener.One for cutting through hair and string wrapped in my vacuum head roller and one for freeing hair from my hair brushes.This little tool is brilliant even at full price but st 41p it's an awesome purchase.

I usually use a knife to open letters because I tend to rip them when I try with my fingers. This makes it so much easier and for the price, you can't go wrong. It's almost effortless to open letters now so I would recommend but its not like you actually need these. The choice is ultimately yours

Absolutely love this Metal Blade opener , this opens the letter far cleaner than a letter opener. Very easy to use, just slid it near the opening sleeve and glide it across. Gives out a clean opening of the cover. Under £1 the quality of build is strong and durable, so definite value for money.

Made of quite rigid plastic with a metal blade. A bargain at £041 delivered or more. It has a hole so probably you could hang it up. The blade is quite well protected. There is a gap of about 0.5mm between it and the plastic so should be kept out of way way of babies and young children.

the perfect handy little device for letter/ parcel opening as well as other uses. So far I've used to slice off tangled hair from radial hair bruses as well as hair from the vacuum brushes making light work of a tedious job. Worth investing in. Great value for money.

It’s a Stanley in a plastic shell, with a name for a use. Much smaller than expected although nice and sharp and does the job good. Ideal for anyone suffering from arthritis hand damage or diabetes with loss of sensation. OCD neat letter opener ;)

Saved me a fortune in kitchen knives and items being damaged when my wife opens boxes. These aren't exactly a safety knife as kids could still get to the blade. But they are the best box opener I've had. Just keep them out of reach.

I brought 2!! Thats how amazed i am with this product. It looks like the product image and works even better. Its cheap and effective. So much better than other ones i’ve been under the “letter opener” category. Definitely buy!!

Shall, solid, sharp and very useful letter opener. I am not good with opening letters and sometimes even damage the post inside which opening envelope. This is perfect solution. A must have accessory for every home and office.

i love these letter openers, they work great with opening amazon delivery boxes too by cutting through the tape swiftly.. unfortunately I've only had it for about a month and the blade has already started to dull slightly

Can't exactly 'dis' this product at all... Well not for the 41p I paid for it.It opens letters just fine, KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN though cause the blade just sticks out and has no safety precautions at all.

It's handy to keep on a lanyard and surviving lots of parcel tape cutting. The plastic point dulled quickly, but so far it's still doing the job and saving my hands.Would recommend, even if it's just temporary.
