I wanted to give this concealer a good run before writing a review because it's easy to get carried away after one use. My initial thoughts were that the brush is quite large and thick, as is the consistency of the concealer itself. It also has quite an orange tone for an ivory shade so I felt that colour matching was going to be quite a big problem. It was easy to use the brush to apply under the eye area and gave me more precision than using my fingers or a brush. However, for blending I used my fingers as the applicator was just to big and the bristles are quite tough to the touch, making it hard not to get lines during the blending. I applied the concealer under my foundation without blending, then blended everything together with my foundation. It covers dark circles really well and I could see the light reflecting properties working well. It wasn't as effective for covering blemishes and spots though, which was a shame. Its thick texture made my skin feel quite dry, so it's definitely one for more oily skins. A dry skin needs a very good moisturiser prior to using this if you don't want your skin to be dry and a little flaky by the end of the day.It sat well on my skin generally and lasted the full day without any real issue. The only problem I have really is the colour - it is quite orange toned so make sure you test it out first to get the right shade for your skin. It blends perfectly for me when I've got a bit of a tan but when I haven't it does take a little bit more work. It's certainly not unmanageable, but if you're in a rush, you may want to consider something else. It's fantastic if you've got a little more time and dark undereye circles are a concern for you. I would have liked to see a different applicator instead of a brush because it's hard to control how much comes out with the brush and it then dries into the bristles and potentially causes blockages. I haven't experienced this with the Rimmel concealer but the lipgloss applicator may be more effective for getting the product onto the face. All in all, this is a pretty good concealer and it does what it says on the packaging - the colour adapts to your skin tone (to some extent) and it hides the dark circles with light-reflecting technology. I will definitely keep using it until it's run out but I may not dash to buy a replacement. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

As a mother of two, I don’t have much time for myself but I also really don’t want to look like a zombie. So, after my usual skin care regime (a face wash!) I go straight for the good stuff basics which is usually concealer and a bit of mascara or if I’m feeling particularly wild some days I go for a cheeky bit of liner. The thing that is most important to me is that whatever I apply to my face, it matches my fair skin tone and also gets rid of my almighty panda eyes that the mornings bless me with! Welcome to my world Rimmel perfect match skin tone adapting concealer, you can stay my friend! It’s wonderfully sized so I think it will fit into all of your lives perfectly although the packagingisn’t particularly eye catching but it is simple and clear so gives you a good idea on the shade you are purchasing rather than it being a complete mystery. I went for a shade darker than I usually would for my fair skin by total accident and I must say it’s proven to me even more that it really does adapt to skin tone! It just blended right in like it does when you are watching one of those make up tutorials. In fact, it not only blended and covered the darkness, it brightened my eyes too! I’m utterly hopeless at applying make up, although I do try my best, So when a marvellous creation comes along that makes me look and feel fab, I grab at it and hold on for dear life! It took me about 3 seconds to wonder brush this magical stuff under my eyes! The little brush is super soft and it feels so light on the skin. Just a little squeeze is enough for each eye and once applied before even blending it in you can’t really feel it there! It has completely made me look like I’ve had a million years sleep, official sleeping beauty level reached! Bravo Rimmel, this is certainly one for keeps. Let's start with the packaging and applicator. It's a fairly unremarkable product to look at but given the price point, I'd say the styling is as expected. The applicator is nice actually, and differs slightly from concealers I have previously used; you squeeze (gently!! I learnt the hard way!) the tube so a little concealer comes through onto the brush end and from there, apply. Personally I chose to use a beauty blender, but that's personal preference. The product itself is a nice consistency, creamy but not too thick, and blends well. I liked how a little of the concealer goes a very long way, this'll last me ages! The coverage is great, I feel it really lifted my undereye area, and when I'm having a good skin day, a little of this concealer is really all I need rather than foundation etc as well! The only issue I do have with this concealer is that I can only presume the shade range is limited. I opted for 'soft ivory' expecting it to be lighter than my normal foundation shade and to be able to use it as a highlight under the eyes etc, (I'm light skinned but tan easily, with blue eyes and mid brown hair) but it is actuallly more of a tan/medium fair shade, which is fine, but I think if you're particularly pale, or with cool skin tones, this maybe won't work so well for you. All in all, a nice product and one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was super excited to try this concealer out. I’ve tried a lot of makeup brands over the years some cheap some expensive and lots of middle price range. I had the opportunity to try the classic beige as they didn’t have a lighter option for me to trial. Ok so the colour match was miles off my skin tone. It was far to dark for my paler complection and rather orangey at first but over the trial period with the nice weather and getting a gradual tan on my face it wasn’t to bad. Mix that and foundation on the top and other makeup it was wearable. If I had a preference I would go a lot lighter if I was to buy it from a shop. The coverage was good and easy to apply.I especially like the brush tip making it ubber easy to get a good coverage. I’ve recentl had a baby in past two weeks also so this trial came in perfect timing to cover up the sleepless nights and bags under my eyes. Unfortunately I haven’t taken any photos of before and after. Would I recommend this to friends? Yeah I would it has ease of use the coverage is good. It’s not overly thick consistency like some I’ve used in the past and at the opposite end of spectrum it’s not overly thin either. Mentioned my trial in the playground to other mums and have sang it’s praises. I can visibly notice a difference when wearing it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Overall this is generally a decent concealer all round, however it definitely isn’t perfect. The coverage is roughly medium and doesn’t completely cover my dark circles even though I’m young. Also you’ll need to set it fully if you want it to last more than a few hours. It doesn’t usually cake if you just apply a couple of layers. However, it does tend to cake up if you try and build it up. Like I said, I have dark circles so when I try to build it up to get better coverage. Though this may be because I suffer from very dry skin. Despite all this, the concealer isn’t too bad and there is definitely a lot worse out there. It’s good for covering spots and light blemishes,so I’d recommend it to people who are looking to cover these sorts of things. I also like the brush on the end as it gives a smooth and easy application, however it needs thorough blending afterwards. I would recommend to people who just need a basic concealer to cover a few blemishes and don’t have very dark circles.

I've had concealers before that either don't last all day or they make my smile lines around my eyes look super noticeable, but this one did none of that! Looks natural and works well to cover those darned dark circles. The colour though it what disappoints me. I'm like, super ghostly white, so I figured that I'd get their lightest one, which I'm assuming is porcelain, right? Yeah, its too dark. Comparing it to the L'Oreal foundation and concealer of the colour description of 'porcelain' this one is considerably darker, just a tad though. Just enough to not brighten my eye area as I would like. Also the little brush thing? Yeah, I don't like that at all,I found it difficult to get enough product out without taking a bloody millennium over it, so I just cut that off completely.Overall, its not bad, I just thought I'd try it instead of my usual L'Oreal concealer for a change. Won't be guying this again, but it wasn't bad. Don't recommend if you look like a piece of printer paper :)

I tend not to leave reviews if I am a bit unimpressed by an item, doesn't mean it is bad, just that the item hasn't inspired me to sit and write about it. Getting older now so tend to use more high end cosmetics in a last ditch attempt to look my best I suppose. So I was very pleased to of taken a bit of a gamble on this cheaper one and try it at a bargain price, it's really very good, does conceal imperfections, hides dark circles, obviously you need the right shade. Very pleased with the results, just not giving it 5 stars because I think it does tend to wear off as the day goes on, especially on a warm day, but certainly for the money, very very good,I would buy it again because I tend to suffer dark circles around the eye area that this seems just spot on for concealing and definitely would do the job for the evening or a day at work. Maybe not both, but if I am going out for the evening I tend to shower and redo my make up anyway, I don't get out so much these days!

This shade is apparently soft ivory, i was expecting a more 'ivory' colour. This is orange, a real 80's fake tan orange. Im naturally pale ghost white so this looks utterly ridiculous on me. I guess there maybe some orange people out there that need concealer......I like the tube that this concealer comes in. My current concealer has a similar brush applicator but has a press on lid. Sadly its press on lid doesnt always stay stuck on so i end up picking variouos bits of grit and fluff out of the brush or wiping blobs of concealer out of my bag! This will not happen with this as the lid screws on, hurrah! To get concealer out you dont have to press a button at the end you just squeeze the tube so its very easy to control and comes out easily. The concealor does conceal, its an opaque liquid and apart from the awful colour id certainly use it. Maybe one of the other colours would suit me.Really well designed tube, good concealer, awful colour!

When this concealer turned up I did not have high hopes or expectations. Straight away through the tube I could tell the undertones were too warm for my skin and it had a brush applicator which I’m not fond of as I always find them harder to control the amount of product coming out compared to concealers that use a wand! Although the concealer would be too warm to use for covering spots, it worked amazingly for my dark under eye areas!! The warm tones helps combat the darkness and once I went over with my usual foundation it blended into my skin so beautifully! The concealer is a perfect thickness that you could layer up if you needed a strong coverage but one layer was enough for me and felt very light on my skin, which is especially important to me during the warmer months.Would love it even more if it had a wand applicator but that’s just my personal preference! What a great concealer! It was unfortunate that it wasn't the right shade for me. It was slightly too dark to use as a concealer for under my eyes and to highlight, so I used it to Contour my face instead. So first off, the applicator, great little brush. Makes it very easy to apply and is extremely precise. A couple of down falls to the applicator are that you can't control how much comes out at once very well (steady hands!) Also that where the product is so thick it can be slightly more difficult to apply smoothly. The product itself, great coverage. It's a thick formula, that covers blemishes, spots and imperfections. It blended beautifully into my foundation with ease. It lasted on my face all day as well!So long lasting wear with great coverage. Overall a great concealer just wish I got the right match for my skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
