I bought this product a couple of time pre-lockdown in March 2020 from a drugstore, and started a new one just as it began. I was looking for a pale barely there brown/blonde to fill in the sparse area at the front of my brow because, while they’re naturally very dark, I just wanted a soft amount of colour to thicken them slightly without them looking blocky. This brow pencil was perfect, it gives just enough colour that with a darker brow gel I get the effect that I want, and because I was using it in such a small area, the pencil was lasting a long time. However after finishing it and project panning a few other pencils during lockdown, I finally repurchased in December...it’s half way through February and I’m almost finished the pencil, which seeing the previous pencils had lasted me four or five months, was irritating. I still maintain that this is a good product, but this new pencil when sharpened breaks in chunks because there is - I assume - areas where the fibres are denser and more compact, so half the tip would fall off vertically through the length, rendering the remaining half thin and fragile and it would instantly snap. The fibres are the only reason I could see for chunks to break off like this. This morning I sharpened a centimetre off the pencil because of the issue, which is not the first time, and it’s deeply irritating. This won’t stop me buying the product again, since I’ve used two of these pencils previously without this issue I feel like I just got a bad one, and I like the colour enough that until I can find a look-a-like I’ll stick with it.But if Rimmel could produce this without the fibre I’d be much happier, and I still recommend it if you’re looking for a really soft brown/blonde, but maybe buy two just in case.

I was sent this to test as part of the Amazon Vine programme but being a man I had a slight problem, so I employed my daughter-in-law in an unpaid, semi-official capacity to do the testing and report back. Her words – “ I saw that this was a fibre pencil so I was a bit cautious after reading the other reviews on Amazon about bits coming off and sticking to my eyebrows. However, I had no problem with either sharpening the pencil or using it. If anything I think it’s s bit overpriced but it actually does work well and does what it says."From my own point of view I like to see if any cosmetics are cruelty free. On the Rimmel website it says “We at Rimmel take the issue of animal testing very seriously. For many years, we have been vehemently against it.” They go on to say “It is common knowledge that China is currently the only country that requires mandatory animal tests on all cosmetic products imported into the country. However, we have been actively involved in the dialogue with the Chinese authorities and regulators, including through our membership to the China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI). As a result, China has recently started to investigate ways to replace animal testing and has sought the assistance of European scientists. The common goal of all these efforts is our aim to completely replace animal testing.”

Love this eyebrow pencil. I'm very fair and this is the lightest I have found so far. I also don't have a huge amount of eyebrow hair where my eyesbrows should arch and tail off - with this pencil I can create a well shaped and defined eyebrow that doesn't look drawn on. I get amazing results and have been complimented on them several times by women who were surprised when they found out I drew them on.I mostly use the pencil straight onto skin (allowing my moisturiser to dry a while before applying pencil), it works well on powder foundation. If applying to liquid or mouse foundation you will either need to let it set for while (or use setting powder) before using the pencil - it is useless on moist/creamy surfaces.I keep the pencil end sharp so sharpen 1-3 times while using and build up with small strokes. I find the fibres in the pencil help build onto the fine hairs around my eyebrows allowing them to look part of the eyebrow (and actually giving me an eyebrow). For me this pencil is amazing, it won't suit everyone dependent on their normal make up routine. One pencil lasts me 3-4 weeks but it is cheap (i used to buy a £19 branded one that only lasted 5-6 weeks so still quids up). I have been using this pencil over 12months now andI dread the day they discontinue this pencil.

Tried by my wife, who was very impressed.“My eyebrows are thinning - not noticeably, but thinning nonetheless - so I have been thinking vaguely about doing something more permanent to save me any future embarrassment, but now I don’t need to bother. This wonderful eyebrow pencil works. I have had ones in the past that did not suit me at all, as you could easily see that I was colouring them in. I do have eyebrows, so I cannot comment on how well this pencil would work for totally drawn on eyebrows. For me it was all about a little extra bonus colour and definition. After applying it I was amazed at how full they looked, and when I rubbed my brows the colour stayed put. The one that I tried is a medium, and it works extremely well with my current brow colour. The pack says that it is a fibre pencil, so maybe that's why it stays on and blends in so well, giving fuller and more natural eyebrows. It is just an ordinary looking eyebrow pencil with a plastic cap on the end to prevent it drawing on the inside of your makeup bag, and it arrived with a sharp point which is perfect for outlining, but all I wanted to do was to fill them in and it worked perfectly. I now regret not looking for another brand years ago, but I’m very happy to have this addition to my makeup bag.”

Well I've heard of mascaras with added fibre but never eyebrow pencils … until now that is. An interesting concept … but does it work? This eyebrow pencil is of a standard length with a transparent lid. The colour of the pencil is quite a dark brown and the texture is not too soft (very crayon like) yet it applies easily and evenly. The pencil produces a good colour which suits my dark brown hair and eyebrows perfectly. It covers well without looking too obvious but I didn't really notice any extra thickness to my brows … so I'm not all that sure if the added fibre is really achieving anything different to an ordinary good quality brow pencil.Still the reasonable price means it's worth a try.I am fifty seven years of age and do not have the inclination to style my eyebrows apart from the odd tweezering of a stray hair or two. However I am sure this eyebrow pencil would be just the thing for the modern eyebrow styling phenomenon which is sweeping the nation amongst teenagers.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Fibre Pencil is a great way and very easy way for me to build up my straggly thin brows. I always had thick brows which I needed to pluck every other day. When I hid the menopause I noticed my brows became very thin and instead of plucking away hairs I was having to source out a quick and easy way to give me back healthy looking brows which helped define my face rather than disappear into my face.I did not want to go the tattoo parlour(afraid of needles) so when I was introduced to this handy pencil I was quietly very pleased with how easy it was to apply this fibre pencil.I would happily recommend this Rimmel London Brow This Way Fibre Pencil as a great way ofhelping build up my straggly brows as well as helping define my face and cosmetics.Happy to recommend.

This is a nice eyebrow pencil which does the job well of filling in your eyebrows if they are sparse, or building a bigger brow if you want 'that' look. It was a nice natural brown and enabled me as a 43 year old to line my brows and enhance them which I like. However, I don't like to wear them like younger people do- so if you want a really, really heavy brow this might not work so well. I'm not sure what product they need to come up with such atrocious shocking and hideous brows- this might work for you if you want to be really heavy handed. It says that is it fibre based- I am not sure it actually increases volume during application, but maybe if your eyebrows are particularly sparse this might show up more. All in all,for the price you can't really go wrong with this product.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Fibre Pencils are my personal favourite ever since I tried one couple of months ago.I’m dark blonde but I often use red henna on my chair. Previously I had the medium colour pencil and it worked perfectly with my lighter hair but not so much with the henna ones. This shades works much better. The fibres inside the pencil make drawing the brows super easy and they look much more natural than done with regular pencil or brow powder. I really like how easy it is to achieve natural looking brows with practically zero effort. And to make things better the brows stay on for the whole day but then are quite easy to wash off with face wash or soapy water.Pencil itself is madeof good quality wood that is easy to sharpen and it does not break.

The colour of the Medium Brow This Way Pencil is absolutely perfect for me as although I have quite dark hair, it doesn't overpower or make it look like I have 2 big dark caterpillars on my face. While it says it contains fibres I don't really notice these. It does make small filling in jobs really quick and easy and I find if I do go a bit overboard with it, it's easy to remove without having to redo my whole face. That said, I also find it stays in place very well too so as long as I'm not rubbing at my brows, I don't need to touch it up throughout the day and thankfully it doesn't turn orange either. I prefer to go for a softer look but it's also possible to create a slightly more dramatic look too.Being a pencil it does need to be sharpened which I find is easy.

I received this in the medium shade and found it very adaptable, suitable for filling in brows on fair or darker haired people. It comes simply presented as any pencil would and the pointed end is great for touching up hairs that are barely noticeable, rather than a flat pencil line the fibres add texture. When using on overplucked brows (throwback to the seventies) a feather lightstroke along the brow line gives the illusion of natural hair.To fill in stencils for fuller/darker look all you need to do is add more pressure on the pencil tip. Very easy to use and we found that finishing with a brow brush removed any stray fibres and gave a softer finish.Very good value for a no nonsense product,I recommend it.

Clever product, absolutely must have for anyone struggling to draw natural looking brows, like myself.I’ve been always having difficulties making my brows to look natural. Many other pencils I tried over the years always used to leave strokes on the skin making it look rather unnatural. This wasn't the case with the Rimmel London Brow This Way Fibre Pencil. It makes creating natural looking brows super easy. And if you wonder how the pencil with fibres looks like, the only thing I can compare it to is wax crayon that is covered in dust, thanks to the fibres inside. If there was one thing I would want to add,it would be some kind of brush on the cover so I would not have to borrow one from my old pencil.

This is a great eyebrow pencil that defined and coloured my brows with ease. I have over plucked eyebrows being a product of the fashions of the seventies and try as I might I have never been able to grow them back successfully. I have used eyebrow pencils for many years with varying degrees of success. This pencil is one of the better ones I have used as it is quite waxy and glides on easily. The colour shade is perfect for the shade of my eyebrows and looks natural. Cleanses off easily in the evening with my make up remover and lasts the day comfortably. I am very pleased and will continue to buy. Well worthy of five stars.

I have used this eyebrow pencil 3 times now and am very impressed. I have brunette hair and brown eyes but have light eyebrows which aren't blonde. it is so hard to find a a colour to suit me as I'm in between a light brown and dark blonde. I found the colour perfect. most dark blonde pencils tend to have a orange/beigey tint to them but this colour is perfect for me as it is quite ashy. I have been using rimmels eyebrow pencil in hazel for years but will now be sticking to this one. I ordered this on a whim and wasn't really expecting it to be very good colour wise but am so glad now I did

I passed this to my assistant, and this is what she had to say about it; “I’m not a fan of the ‘drawn on eyebrow’ look so would only use this product to help fill in sparser areas of eyebrow. This pencil is easy to use and good for fine definition as it doesn’t smudge too easily.Although I have very dark eyebrows, I felt the medium pencil was the best colour for me as any darker and I think my eyebrows would have looked too heavy. As with any product of this nature, be careful when sharpening to minimise the chances of breaking”.Overall she rated it 4out of 5 stars.

I was really looking forward to using this pencil, I like good definition and have dark natural eyebrows.I found the pencil easy to use, it seems to glide on well and gives a good coverage. I did have to press quite hard to get the colouring that I like but that may well be personal choice on how dark you like it. It did crumble slightly when using it so perhaps will go a bit softer next time.Would be great if it had a little spoolie brush on the other side like some more expensive brands do.Overall a good choice and well-priced.
