This is great! I hate football, but this is vastly entertaining. Hard core football fans might not appreciate Midways approach to the game, but for those who don't want to spend 2 months learning all the moves and tactics (like you got to in Pro Evolution Soccer), this has got the right "pick up and play" value.The controls are basic and easy enough, and the gameplay is very arcadey. The bonus is the referee A.I. - they tend to turn their backs if someone delivers a hard tackle, and therefore the game actually encourages violence and dirty tricks - maybe not an unexpected move from the same production company who brought us the Mortal Kombat-series...Another gem,

I have recently purchased this game, and I have to say I really wasn't looking forward to playing this as I had played Pro Evolution Soccer and thought this was the best football sim out. Well anyway about Red Card, the game is hilarious as there are actually no rules in the game of football and you can do many tackles without the referee interfering. The graphics are top quality, but not as good as Pro Evolution Soccer. There is a lot to do in this game, as you have to conquer the world by defeating many of the teams throughout the world. The downside is that it is based on international teams only. the game also uses the real players names which is also good. So i come to conclude that this game is good,

This game makes football fun! It's easy to get to grips with and anyone can play! It is great fun for parties for playing eachother!! One of few games which everyone is smiling after the game despite the end result!Incredibly fun and enough skill is required in the main play mode to keep it entertaining! Really worth getting this game!Downers: Commentating is repetitive (but funny); The game play is unpredictable and goals are usually down to luck; You can't permenantly kill the ref!

I played this game in not so long after it came out back in the day. I thought it was f-ing brilliant!a total opposite of the proper football game but the same basics.its fun, brutal, violent, and absolutely funny as hell. I not a serious football fan, only ever watch world cup.if you like football with abit of kicking in the head, legs body to score a GOAL!!! this is for you.not for fifa fan boys. who respect the rules.at todays prices... well worth it.retro gaming a must.

Played this when i was younger but never knew what it was called, after some considerable time trying to find out the title of 'the footy game that lets you flying kick everyone' found it and bought it instantly, great fun to play with friends especially when they are clean through and you almost literally kick them into orbit, definitely prefer this to FIFA and would recommend to anyone looking for a great game that rewards kicking lumps out of opponents/friends

This game is such a fun game to play.The fact you can literally knockout your opponents with a flying karate kick is so fun.Another great thing is you can do exactly the same to the ref.So if you ever disagree with one of his decisions then you can punch him in the face.Brilliant

A lot of fun, not that good of a football game but definitely the most fun and memorable one I've played.
