I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape. The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles, which hold it firmly in place.I have around 50 or 60 in total and they are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly). As long as the boxes are the same dimensions on the base, each will stack very neatly onto the one below and the bottom of the higher box is held in place by the raised edge of the lid of the lower, so there is no chance of them accidentally falling over. As they are also clear, you can see what's in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful. If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage.

If you want to store away your CDs this is an ideal strong plastic storage box for you. These Really Useful Boxes are so much stronger than the run of the mill boxes you can buy at DIY stores and similar. They are built to last and are easily stacked one on top of the other once full. The handles are used to lock the lid firmly in place. I have found with a great many other plastic boxes on the market that their lids are the weakest point and once split, cracked or damaged etc the box is almost totally useless or the lids just do not stay on. Neither of these issues are a concern with a Really Useful Box. One of the things I like about Really Useful Boxes is the quality of construction and the overall robustness of the box, especially the lids. These boxes certainly have the feel that they are built to last, unlike so many of the other plastic storage boxes avialable that are really flimsy. I doubt very much you will be disappointed with your purchase, just make certain you get the right box for the job. However, with such a wide range available the biggest problem you will have is deciding what size and shape to buy! I have bought a number of Really Useful Boxes and as you can see I am a great fan.

They have the right name as they are marvellous for storage , very strong, well built and designed. Personally I use them for some of my Snakes feeding time to separate them, they are brilliant as they cannot escape out of these :-)) !!! Infact they are more secure than their Vivariums, sometimes they do manage to get out of their Vivs if I forget to lock them !! but with these RUB's you lock them automatically. They could do with the same width & height on the bigger ones for us Snake keepers. The 21 litre boxes are ideal shape as they have a good bit of space for the smaller snakes. Fabulous project. Ooh, before anyone thinks how can they breathe in there we do drill some holes in the lids :-))I am one HAPPY Herper with very Happy Snakes :-)) One of my Snakes even decided she felt soo secure in there in her hide box inside she had her babies in there - 28 of them :-))

Got two of these to store away music cds that I don't play so much as all copied to computer, etc and also for holding software CDs. Will be getting more for keeping DVDs in. The 18 litre is a perfect size for this, they fit but with enough room to be able to get them out. I'm most impressed by the strength of them. They have extra strengthening strips at right angles to the box surface around the outside (so doesn't get in way of contents). This makes them feel very sturdy compared to the equivalent storage boxes you might find in a typical DIY store which tend to get their strength from bends in the material. I've had some of those giveway in my garage when stacked but I couldn't imagine that ever happening with these boxes.I shall be looking at the other sizes when I need boxes for other purposes as there seems to be a very large range too.

These boxes are excellent, as are all boxes made in the Really Useful Box range. I have lost count of how many I now have, literally. From really small boxes (0.2 litre) up to massive boxes (84 litre). I think I have somewhere over 50 boxes. I've even started using them at work to store catalogues and send out with finished goods we sell to hold instructions booklets and fixings. These particular size boxes are perfect for storing CDs. I spent many months reading reviews on Amazon, deciding on the right boxes, as I wished to sort, rip to MP3 and then safely store my large CD collection. You can get three rows of 31 standard CDs, 93 in total, per box.I have at least 7 boxes stacked on top of each other at present.I tend to wait until they are on offer on Amazon and order a few, but always wish I had ordered more.

For those who don't know these boxes are perfectly sizes to hold three rows of CDs upright, inside a stackable, lockable transparent box. Perfect for me as I need to box up my rather comprehensive CD collection, until I can move to a larger place. For those of us who are not quite in the cloud yet, who want to keep our shiny discs safe, this seems like the perfect solution. After I despaired of finding enough cardboard boxes of the right dimensions, I looked around on the web and found these. They do the job perfectly and should also be nice and flexible for storing other things once the CD collection is back on display.Versatile and useful.(However you can find multi buys elsewhere online if you need lots.)

I bought these because I needed storage for CDs but thought these looked more flexible in their use than the long narrow CD storage boxes that more snugly fit CDs. That is, these boxes could very well be useful for something else in future. That has turned out to be the case - these are good size boxes that easily take the 93 CDs specified (if not a few more) but the boxes would be ideal for lots of other storage tasks too if I want in future. The quality is excellent, the lids snap down firmly and securely, and plastic is strong with little flex. These feel as if they will last for years. They also stack very securely.Highly recommended for CD/DVD storage or if you just need a box of approximately this size.

Well this is used several times a week with items taken out and the box refilled. It’s been in use since 2016 and not always with great care. It’s still as sturdy today as it was when I got it.The locking handles are a little easier to engage and disengage but once on, they stay on. I just wish I’d got a slightly bigger version but that rests with me.I can wholeheartedly recommend this especially if you are going to fill and leave it and even if you need access daily, I really can’t fault it. I have not received any payment or other gratuity from the manufacturer or Amazon to write this review. I was looking for a bigger version and saw I hadn’t left a review.

These boxes are just great, it makes a change to buy something that looks like it will last forever, very strongly made which will protect the contents. After measuring the space I have in my car boot I chose this size and when they arrived they fitted perfectly, I use them to store my heavy tools. Good strong lids with handles which convert to locking the lid in place. Nice and see-through so I can see whats inside. I ordered two of these and stack them on top of each other. I am going to order larger ones for the house, there are many sizes available and the measurements are accurate. Well worth the money and are useful for all sorts of storage.

Really Useful boxes have been an essential part of my home and garage decluttering program. I have used many sizes for different purposes. They are strong, and have the right L:W:H ratio for effective storage and ease of stacking and handling. The lids clip on securely (unless over filled) to give a dust and insect/rodent proof seal. I do not know if they are classified as splash proof, but they have kept items in my shed protected from occasional rain leaks. They have also prevented items becoming damp when stored in my loft and garage. As their name says, they are really useful.

These are good quality storage boxes, filled these two up already with some 200 cd's that I do not play so much. So it possible that I will have to order a couple more. They are of a solid & sturdy build, not too large at all so will fit in most places in the house without looking untidy. Yes these are good and I do recommend these items. I had issues with the delivery and did complain through the correct channels and I received a prompt response from the company which I am more than satisfied with. This was very good customer service from the said company. Thanks

These cute and lovely boxes are wonderful for storing cakes in as well as the usual knick knacks around the home. The quick opening side tags are a real boon when you are in a hurry, and the clear plastic means you can see what is in there before opening the box. This 9 litre size is perfect for my decent size cakes as it is tall enough - conventional biscuit tins won't handle taller cakes/ iced cakes and you could do worse than get one of these to hold your Christmas cake or other celebration cake in (maybe while you feed it its brandy)!!

Got CDs to store? Yes, many of our CDs are heading for the loft (having been ripped to the computer etc); don't play them any more but can't bear to throw them all away? This is the box you need - or perhaps you need several. It holds 97 with the jewel case spines up (i.e. titles visible), leaving over an inch of space above for index cards (if you're totally OCD like me). Like all Really Useful products, these are far superior to other storage boxes, having a really nice design feel and lovely stackability too.

Usual quality expected from the Really Useful Box Company. I wanted a container in which to store relatively heavy specimens, rigid, but not so large as to make the box unwieldy. I have purchased many of these boxes in the past and I found that they stacked very securely on top of each other. They are not absolutely air or water tight but they have performed as very satisfactory storage container over many years. My go-to choice without reservations.

I have around 15 of the 42, 50, 64 and 84L boxes and feel that they're the best box around, despite being a bit pricey. That's mostly down to the square internal space and the locking lids. All the cheaper boxes I own have press lids which come loose at the slightest touch or they crack too easily.Anyway, I wish I'd got these years ago, as all I'm doing now is replacing cheaper ones that have cracked or are too flimsy. Buy cheap, buy twice.
