I confess that I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape. The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes only last week; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles, which hold it firmly in place.I have around 50 or 60 in total and they are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly). This is my favourite size of really useful box and I have them stacked four high along one side of my garage. Each box stacks very neatly onto the one below and the bottom of the higher box is held in place by the raised edge of the lid of the lower, so there is no chance of them accidentally falling over. I have the top ones full of bird food (so I can easily access the contents to top up supplies) and even though these are very heavy, there is no sign of cracking in any of the boxes. I did have some different storage boxes for bird seed but they were bulky and not very robust (there was no way I would have been happy to stack them), so the really useful boxes are an excellent space saving alternative. As they are also clear, you can see what's in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful. If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage.

I initially bought 3 of these boxes and was slightly apprehensive after reading a couple of reviews saying that they had arrived damaged. However, all were in perfect condition and really strong. It is hard to imagine them getting broken in transit. In fact, we were so pleased with them that we bought a further 3 which also arrived in perfect condition. They were ideal for the house clearance that we were doing. Each plastic box came in its own cardboard box so we used all 6 plastic boxes for heavy items and also used the 6 cardboard boxes that they were delivered in, for lighter items. My only criticism is that they are expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. They are far better quality than many similar items which I've bought in the past.

Great for storing an "in progress" plastic (Airfix etc) model that is taking up too much table-top in my little home office. All the paint, glue, assembled, un-assembled parts and tools swallowed up neatly and securely and I can see what's inside.Boxes like this will always be useful for storing all sorts of stuff. I use similar boxes for dog food and wild bird seed. Neither the dog or the mice can get past the lids.I also use them for spare plumbing parts and tools and probably a lot of other things, some of which are now semi-forgotten in the loft, shed and garage. They keep everything dry and safe, or wet if you want, I suppose. Smaller ones hold stationery, batteries, pills etc.Get the idea?

bought this box and the matching foolscap files from amazon to store my documents and it's prefect for that. The size of this box is bigger than the typical 35l you find in many shops, which allows me to store things at the front such as spare files and notepads. the locking mechanism is simple yet feels very secure, the handles and edges are rounded slightly making the box far easier to carry.just a heads up when looking for the correct file size to put in this box, you can cross check the official file types on the Really Useful Storage website and make sure you're buying the correct size for htis box

I've bought a number of these to tidy stuff away and help with a house move. Yes you can get cheaper generic boxes that hold more but I've had those in the past and they just don't last. The plastic that's used in these really useful boxes is just better, pure and simple. The lids are especially good. These are also good for stacking, I have several like that and the sides are not bowing. These are handy for lots of things but be aware that they can quite easily be damaged in shipping if not properly protected, it's happened to me a number of times. Usually this happens to the edges.

A bit expensive for being just a plastic box, however the quality is perfect and matches expectation. Beware of the dimensions of the product description though, the height of the box accounts only for the box itself and does not include total height when the lid is put on, as a result, this great product we ordered does not fit the space we had for it, since the extra centimetres added on by the lid now make it too tall. A polite note to the retailer, please be clear on your dimensions as online shoppers rely on an accurate product description when making purchases.

I first discovered Really Useful Boxes in some of their smallest sizes and I haven't looked back since. If you need a sturdy, safely lidded storage box this is is the brand for you. Once you get round the way they're sized in litres(I did manage to order one I could have slept in instead of one to hold some CDs once!) you won't look back. As a family we all use them and have because they come in various colours we have a colour-coding system in place. As you can tell by now - I absolutely love REally Useful Boxes.

This size is great for storage of lever arch files and other things that need to be kept in the loft. They are heavy when full but not overly so. The lids clip on securely and I have not come across any defects with Really Useful boxes yet. I think it is worth spending a little more to get this brand. There was some confusion with dispatching and delivering the two boxes I ordered which were dispatched an hour apart and delivered 2 days apart but the products are very good. Happy customer. Thanks.

I suppose the title of the product says it all really, it's simply a really useful plastic storage box that is incredibly lightweight. What more do I need to say? Well I could say it's stronger than it looks, I like the locking mechanisms on the handle and I like the depth. The transparency of the plastic suits me to the ground as I need it to store so much. There's nothing worse than having to open boxes to look if you have the right one. A great product at great value.

Nothing to say apart from the fact that these boxes are practical, the perfect size, easy to lift and carry, good lid closing mechanism, they can be stacked and they stay in place.I heard there are models with a side opening, but the feedback from friends who got those is that the door is a bit of a weak point and they tend to break and are not as practical as you'd imagine once you completely fill the box with loose items.Recommended.

These boxes are extra-strong. They are made of much thicker material and are heavier than the standard boxes. I have bought these with trays to store Christmas baubles and I wanted something that will be durable and retain its integrity for many years whilst being stored in the attic. I think these will meet those requirements. The Really Useful Boxes website is very good if you want more information on storage boxes.

You can never have enough of these boxes! So much better than the cheap b & q ones. They all stack on top of each other and really strong. The only issue i had was that once i dropped the box from a height and the corner plastic, although reinforced, cracked. It didn't really affect the boxes use as the whole thing stayed together but worth watching out for.

I purchased these to keep some foodstuff in that I need to store for beekeeping (sugar) so need them sealed from ants etc. Also use them for all sorts of other stuff. They are robust, good quality and stack easily, with a secure clamp handle at each end to keep the lid on. Very good value and good product.

When the first boxes arrived, both lids where broken as the poor protective cardboard was not good large enough to protect the box lids. I complained and within two days replacements arrived in good order. These are good boxes which are being used for full-scap files safely. I'm pleased with the purchase.
