I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape. The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles, which hold it firmly in place.I have around 50 or 60 in total and they are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly). As long as the boxes are the same dimensions on the base, each will stack very neatly onto the one below and the bottom of the higher box is held in place by the raised edge of the lid of the lower, so there is no chance of them accidentally falling over. As they are also clear, you can see what's in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful. If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage.

I habe use Really Useful boxes in many shapes and sizes over the years from the very tiny ones (0.07 Litre) though to this 50 Litre box, which is the biggest I have needed. At long last I have decided to store my considerable collection of DVD's and a few of the piles habe fallen over, and each of these boxes stores 110 DVD's, I have 2 at the moment but will require at least couple more, plus a couple of slightly smaller one for my computer games. They are just SO strong, and yes I realise a lot of the 1 star reviews say they have been received broken, but that must have been a packaging problem at the time, mine came VERY WELL packed, as a box within a box, and surrounded with those 'inflatable little air bags',so Amazon have certainly stepped up to the mark with the packaging now.The lids are easily attached to the main body of the box with the two clips, and certainly on these large boxes they need a fair amount of force to open them, I am sure that the won't accidentally open them, which is just as well.Another point is that with the great selection of sizes you can find something that will fit exactly your needs, for example I had the choice of the 50L for 110 DVD's, 33L for 44 DVD's or the 22L for 50 DVD's, although there are smaller ones to for less DVD's, it is SO helpful that they give you not only the box outside and inside dimensions, but also what they can potentially hold.I have literally a house/garage full of these boxes and never had one break, they solve the untidiest situations and the cost is excellent too, yes you can get cheaper but the quality just isn't there in my opinion, and they tend to be very 'flimsy' too.

These boxes are absolutely brilliant. Really useful doesn't quite cut it. These things will store ANYTHING. Well, provided they exist within the dimensional contraints of the box in question, I mean, it's a Really Useful Box not a Really Useful Dimensionally Transcendental Box. They are heat resistant and water proof so if you really wanted to you could use them to store 50 litres of your favourite hot beverage. DVDs, books, paperwork, princely pantaloons, trinkets, cables, evidence, and documents detailing a conspiracy in which the moon and the sun are really the same thing but the CIA "turn it off" at night these boxes will store that stuff to kingdom come. In all seriousness, these boxes come is variety of sizes from teeny tiny to ludicrously large. You need stuff boxed, you buy these boxes. End of.But mostly I drill holes in them and use them to house Pythons.

These are well made strong boxes which do exactly what it says on the..er..box! They came reasonably well packaged which may have been changed in response to previous reviews. The sizing and description are accurate, I bought them to fit exactly under my sons bed and they did. The only minor quibble was the placing of a large 7" x 3" stock/delivery sticker on top of each box which cannot be removed without soaking it in white spirit! This slightly ruined an otherwise good service and I wish they wouldn't do it. Other stickers just peel off so why not these ones?

I've got quite a few of these Really Useful boxes now (50 ish), in different sizes, they're awesome! I purchased this one as I had some spares left over from new kitchen cupboards ( Legs, spare fittings, draw dividers runners etc.) & wanted to keep them all together so that I could find them easily in the future if we wanted to change or replace something.I usually get these Really Useful Boxes from elsewhere but these guys were the cheapest on the day for this particular size. Great job guys :-)

Have bought a total of 6 of these boxes over the years.I use them to store clothes, bedding, books and one is even full of more than 60kg/130lbs of weights. Haven't had any problems. For anyone looking at the picture you may think that the boxes have blue handles, they do not; they are actually the clips that keep the lid on. The handles are moulded into the box so they are incredibly strong. I have never worried about them snapping while moving that previously mentioned box of weights.

If you buy a couple, they stack really nicely and you can see what's inside without opening them. We've been using a few different sizes now. And they're just so handy to keep a flat organised. We use the smaller 12L for computer cables, CDs, batteries and spare lightbulbs etc. And bigger 50L and 64L for spare clothes and books etc.I'd recommend going through boxes every now and again and give away things you don't use in ages. That'll save you turning into a super organised hoarder :-)

You do not lose internal space/waste external space as the sides are straight, this is a key factor for me. I have been using this brand for 20 years. The Really Useful Boxes stack very high, very strong (you could park a small car on them apparently), they hold very heavy items, they are excellent for moving house, very stable and very durable (if not unbreakable). You can also use cable-ties or padlocks to tamper proof them and they are showerproof. They are an excellent investment.

I now have four of these boxes and find them very robust. They stack easily on top of each other so can be stored without taking up too much space. I have used two of these boxes for storing old video's and the depth of the boxes mean I have over 50 video's in each box, this includes bulky box sets. The lids lock securely so there is no chance of them coming off and the contents of the box tipping out. These boxes are a very good buy. I would certainly purchase more if required.

I recently bought two more of the 50 Litre Really Useful Plastic Storage Boxes. I already have four of them. They fit under the kids beds, and are an excellent way of storing their toys. I now have two under our bed, storing the wife's paraphernalia (I really don't know what it all is), but by keeping it in a box, I don't need to dust it every week :-)The boxes are sturdy and well worth the money. No doubt I will be buying more of the boxes as I start to tidy other rooms.

So pleased with this large strong clear lidded box. Able to fit many neatly folded jumpers in ready for next winter. If needed l can spot which item to remove easily. Great tight fitting lid to keep moths/dust out. Exactly correct size to slide under single bed sideways, so keeping room tidy. Need 2 more now ! Have tried cheaper plastic ones with zips in past but they becime brittle and rip also difficult to see items if needed quickly. Very pleased with my purchase.

This box is much more robust than the ones typically found in supermarkets - though quite a bit more expensive.Positive points:They are quite strong for plastic; They stack very well with no chance of them being able to slide off one another; They have handles that lock into the lid; They have holes for numbered seals to go through, to avoid tampering; An extensive range of boxes to choose from.Negative point:Empty boxes cannot be stored inside one another.

This box is so handy for me to store things in,plus, the ability to lock the lid with the handles. Handy size for under the bed, so utilising the empty space. However, I can foresee this type of box could and probably is used for a multitude of storage jobs. It’s well constructed and also the ability to stack the box’s without them being unsightly. For me the price of this box was excellent considering it’s construction. I would definitely recommend it.

I needed to store my CDs and I saw the 50 Litre on the Really Useful Box website being suitable to store up to 180 CDs. That it does perfectly. They have been well designed with the lid being secured firmly by the clasps. They are good solid boxes but do treat them with some care as they can crack if dropped. Check when collected / delivered for any damage. (That's advice from my past and recent experience, not just from Argos).

I invested in these boxes after some of the stuff I was storing in cardboard boxes got ruined by a leaky garage roof. I wouldn't be without them now. As well as keeping everything dry and spider free, the sturdiness protects my things from getting crushed, which can happen when using cardboard boxes or plastic bags. The secure lid makes me feel so much better knowing that when I remove it I won't come across spiders in the box.
