I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape.The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles,which hold it firmly in place.I have around 50 or 60 in total and they are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly).As long as the boxes are the same dimensions on the base, each will stack very neatly onto the one below and the bottom of the higher box is held in place by the raised edge of the lid of the lower, so there is no chance of them accidentally falling over. As they are also clear, you can see what's in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful.If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage.

It's not an underestimate when I say I've bought close to 100 of these boxes, we've got a big old family house that used to be fit for us but now is overbearing, so these are helping us to move. They are sturdy and well manufactured in the UK. They are stackable and easy to move around. Costly yes, but I've found myself happy to bear the cost (once you've spent thousands of pounds on plastic storage boxes your life takes on a new type of perspective about the cost of things).The range is very versatile too, there's boxes to cater for most household items (including a range for vinyl records for those who collect them,which I know from experience can get all consuming with regards to space!).Pros:DurableEasy to transportMultiple use casesCons:PriceyDisposal of cardboard packaging isn't easy in household recyclingI got lucky finding offers at Ryman and Morrisons for these so haven't exclusively bought these off Amazon. Buying them on amazon is great owing to them being delivered home, but it makes a job for me where I've got to dispose of the cardboard the boxes are packed up in (easy enough: I cut the cardboard up then dispose of it at the Sainsbury's/Tesco cardboard recycling bins, same goes for all my amazon recycling - it helps that I work there though so can take the stuff there by car without having an extra journey).If you're a sucker for buying these like me and you find yourself having bought too many of them, I guarantee that your local charity shop would accept them (providing they are in good condition still) with open arms. Their versatility and durability is a huge attraction. Happy storing!

By now, I have bought a whole range of these boxes, literally within weeks. They are very good, solid, transparent and can be easily (and safely) placed one on another to form quite a tower I use them to store my clothes, bedding items, documents, books as well as travel / trekking equipment and even shoes. They are excellent. And no doubt I will buy more of them if I identify the need for storing something.Two related points:1-The boxes are no air tight. Initially, I thought this was a deal breaker but for my needs I just use the combo of these boxes and vacuum plastic bags in various dimensions, which I also got on Amazon.2- Lids of three boxes delivered to me on a single day were broken on the corners.Not sure why. So I would suggest inspecting these plastic boxes properly before you dispose of the huge cartoons and bubble protection material you find insight the cartoons -> you might need to return / replace the boxes and to do so you will need the packaging.I alarmed Amazon in the evening of the day of delivery and Amazon got in contact with me 8:30am next morning to arrange collection of the boxes with the broken lids. I was very impressed with the service.

Whats one of the signs you've reached middle age?When you write a 5 star review for a storage box, and not only that, you tell people about how good they are.Yeah, sounds all a bit silly, but honestly, these are absolutely outstanding boxes. They are tough, made in about 100 different sizes, and stack beautifully.I'll focus on the 64 litre box, as that's the one I now have 20+ of. They are ideal for Loft or Garage storage, as they are a bit too big to fit under beds, unless you have a really high bed. They have a handle at each end, so can be carried by 2 people if you overload it. The blue clips at each end hold the box securely shut.They stack SO WELL.They just slot on top of each other and line up perfectly.I use these for clothes storage in the loft, for tool storage in the garage, I even have a small box with ratchet straps in etc in the boot of the car.I'm a complete convert to these boxes. The only thing that could be possibly considered a negative is that they don't slide on carpet. They grip, really well.I've put 40+ KG of DIY materials in one of these boxes, and it was fine.Go buy them, today!

We have many Hedgehog visitors every night and as the weather becomes windy & blustery, they need a shelter for their food & water... so I cut out a hole in the narrower side near the base and have been using it with two house bricks on top of the lid for the past week. The hedgehogs went in on the first night and it is so easy to lift off the lid to refill the bowls as they finish eating the most popular foods... Pedigree Puppy Food & Burgess Chicken Kitten Biscuits are their favourites, with Brambles Meaty Feast in tins coming 3rd. We place the water outside on both sides of the door in shallow bowls. We had 22 visitors this evening (its now 4am) - We get three different species of hedgehog,including many young ones that need to fatten up a bit before hibernation. There was no smell to this box and it is very sturdy - plus under our patio light - we can see in as they choose the different foods inside all the bowls - They love it!

My problem with them is either they are not as strong as they think they are or the transportation/storage of them is not good enough.I bought a dozen to pack stuff in for moving house and found that at least 33% were damaged on arrival. Well, when I say "on arrival" I mean, after I had opened the individual cardboard boxes they came packed in.Some had lost a lid corner, some had missing handles (which is the part that locks the lid on so it's quite important) and one had the lid broken where then handle clipped over.I had planned to use them for storage at the new house but I suspect I will throw some of them away or use them for situations that don't require a lid. I think they need to be stronger.But that'd make them more expensive...I think I will stick with cheaper ones - sure, they'll break too but they won't cost me fifteen quid each

These boxes are just what I needed for storage of paperwork, books and office equipment – really tough, with good secure fastenings. Can't fault them at all, and I'd definitely buy this brand again.However, Amazon's 'guaranteed frustration free packaging' statement is on of the most ludicrous claims I've ever seen!I ordered four huge plastic storage boxes at the same time, all of which stack inside each other. Yep, you've guessed it...each was delivered in its own huge packing carton. By the time I'd cut off the tape, folded all the cardboard, and completely filled my wheelie bin with needless packaging (what I'm going to do with the rest of my recycling for the 10 days before the next collection is anyone's guess),I was a good deal more than frustrated!! This is the reason for the four stars, the product itself really deserves five.

These are brilliant and at first I actually got them to store childrens clothes to give to my sister when her little girl grows into them after mine grows out of them..... but somehow I lost two to my other half who after seeing them decided he would steal them for stuff in the garage!!!! Soooo I had to order more for me and he asked for another two for the garage as well. Safe to say that I would recommend them - easy to use and carry, and stack and open. Plus I am thinking of getting a few more for the attic for my Christmas stuff because I really dislike looking through dusty cardboard boxes to see whats in them (as its not always what it says on the outside!!)and these would be great for storing Halloween and Christmas decorations. Highly recommend and I will be buying more in the near future :D

This is the most useful box of its type I've ever found, and far more useful than its larger brother. What's great about this box is that, as in the picture, it holds box files, but, additionally — and I haven't found this in the specs — it is railed for hanging files. We were able to clear an entire filing cabinet with two of these boxes and put the hanging files straight in. In fact, you could quite happily live out of these boxes for a while during an office move, as the filing cabinet functionality is more or less perfect.Like the bigger and smaller variants, these stack nicely (on any of the three types). There's a decent lip on which to put a label, but, beware, this lip is part of the lid,so if you get your lids mixed up, you've mixed up your boxes.

This product is simply amazing and so useful for so many purposes. I use it to keep my flat in some kind of order (I have a lot of hobbies that generate a lot of stuff). The fact they stack so well is unique with this kind of product. I have mine stacked 7 high without a problem and they dont have light stuff in them. Another off label use is when you are camping, they have plenty of space and keep essential stuff dry when it inevitably rains although be aware that water will pool on top so you have to be careful when opening them again. The only complaint I had was they were not high enough but I have just noticed and purchased the 84L version which looking at the measurements will be perfect.Thanks guys and keep designing great products.

i LOVE TO PUT ALL MY KNIT AND SEW STUFF IN HERE FOR STORAGE IN MY SPARE ROOM. aND IT WILL BE EASY TO TRANSPORT WHEN I MOVE SOON. aS THE CONTENTS ARE SO PRETTY AND COLOURFUL, I FEEL THE BLAND BOX ITSELF APPEARS MORE HOMELY, IT JUST DEPENDS WHAT GOES INSIDE I SUPPOSE. i DON;T SEE THE POINT IN SPENDING EXTREME AMOUNTS ON FLORAL FABRIC STORAGE CONTAINERS, WHEN MY LAST ONE 'BROKE' AFTER A FEW MONTHS. THIS ONE DID HAVE A SCRATCH ON THE LID ON ARRIVAL AMAZON OFFERED ME A REFUND, BUT I KEPT IT ANYWAY, AS IT WILL FOR SURE GET PLENTY MORE TOUTE SUITE. I WAS GOING TO USE IT TO STORE MY MASSES OF PAPERWORK AND MEMOIRS BUT I DECIDED I WILL BUY A SMALLER ONE FOR MY CREATIVE WRITING AND STATEMENTS,BILLS ETC AS THERE ARE NOT THAT MANY.

I have been sorting out my workshop whilst on furlough and decided to have a proper clear out. Ordered three storage boxes because of the good reviews. They arrived well packaged and were put into use straight away to organise all my years of accumulated stuff! I have a nagging suspicion that my wife may have her eye on one to store all her card making equipment in. They are sturdy and well made from recycled plastic with a good carrying handle that doubles as the sealing catch. One good point is they are transparent, so you can see what is inside, rather than having to label each box with the contents. Overall, I am very pleased with my choice and this product. This box has really transformed storage under my bed [a high homebuilt bed] and I have 4 of them filled with towels, sheets clothes etc I numbered them with indelible marker and have a small notebook saying what is in each box. Be aware each box comes in a bigger cardboard box and as mine were delivered to a local collect newsagent it caused a space crisis for him and as I found I could only just get two in the back of the car they took two journeys to get home. Even getting them into the house was difficult but once de-boxed and stacked on each other things gradually came under control! So be warned! Each box was in perfect condition, so the cardboard boxes did their job.

Delighted with this purchase. It was exactly what we needed to establish a filing system for our home without having to pay £100 for a big metal filing cabinet. We had previously bought a pack of 50 foolscap size suspension folders (the Q Connect ones) and they fit perfectly into the built-in runners on either side of this box. This particular one (64 Litres) is a bit longer than it actually looks in the photo but that didn't bother me. I would guess that this box would comfortably fit 60 folders, but us having 50 means that if we need room to fit a ring binder or two at the back of the box, we still have the space to do so. Would definitely purchase from this range again.

Bought four of these as the Mrs had a desire to clean the garage out during Covid lockdown / Easter break. I reluctantly agreed but bought these to help with clearing the clutter as well as some cheaper ones at a national supermarket chain starting with M. These are way superior to any cheaper versions that I've ever bought, large, hold a significant volume and the handles feel solid and fold in to seal the box lid. Seem to be well made and just what we wanted, whereas the aforementioned cheaper versions have already chipped / cracked so filled with much less and cherry picked stuff. You won't be disappointed with these if you are looking for good, sturdy options.
