When I first saw this laundry tin, I was surprised by how small and compact it was. I thought it would never be able to accommodate 2.6kg of powder (40 wash size), but it does - with room to spare. It might even accommodate a 3kg box of powder (45 wash size).Before emptying the powder into it, I placed a plastic liner bag in the tin. (A suitable bag comes as part of the packaging.) This will ensure that it remains airtight and it should prevent any chemical reaction between the powder and the metal box.The laundry tin is too small to hold powder that is still in its own box - unless it's a very small box! The powder needs to be emptied into the tin.The scoop is very useful,

I had already purchased the dog food tin which although not as big as I thought actually holds 8 days worth of dry dog foodSo as the reviews were good for the laundry power tins I ordered twoThe tins are the same size as the dog food ones but again they hold a lot =64 scoops of powder with space left overThe scoop that comes with it holds about 70ml not sure what that is in grams as I only have liquid measuresI have recently got a water softener so for me half a scoop will be ampleI managed to purchase 2x130 wash boxes of washing powder at a bargain price so glad I got two tinsSo I can empty one box into the two tinsNow all my kitchen storage matches my kitchen perfectlyI

Bought this as washing powder tends to get a little damp in the box and ends up clumping up. It easily fit and you box of 40 wash powder room to spare. I've had it 2 months plus and the washing powder is as good as it was when it arrived new.The colour is very exactly the same as the Amazon picture and to date I can't detect any rust. Shouldn't do that I will buy another one. I can't lift heavy items but the handles on this container of great help in lifting it up the cupboard. I highly recommend it especially if you have have weak wrists as it's far easier to lift this than the washing powder box itself.

have been looking for a container like this for ages to house my powder for the washing machine as packets tend to get damp, no matter where you put them, and the washing powder inside gets lumpy.This is an elegant container with a scoop for placing the amount needed in your machine. It can be hooked on the side but after knocking it on the floor several times I now keep it inside. But that does not really matter. An elegant, charming container and looks really attractive sitting on my shelf

I love this laundry powder tin. It was a bit smaller than I expected but I discovered that this was actually a bonus as it wasn't too bulky when left on the work top.I was a bit concerned that the lid would be a bit hard to remove and the handle would break off as this has happened before with other items I have bought, but this is not the case with this tin.It's a high quality item that puts a touch of class to your kitchen. As it's cream it will also go with virtually any colour scheme.

I bought two of these as I generally buy powder when on special at the shops. My husband suggested we get something to stop the damp getting in the boxes and causing the powder to become lumpy and solid. I can honestly say that having used these for a while now, they work brilliantly. The powder runs perfectly and does not clump or harden. I find that two level scoops is perfect (supplied as in photo) for a full load, while for a half load, a single scoop is perfect. Hope this helps.

When the soap powder box, yet again, had a corner from which the powder was spilling, it was time to find an alternative container. I found this gorgeous Laundry Powder Box within about 10 minutes of looking on Amazon!! It is a really "wow! factor" addition to the kitchen and, as previous customers have said, takes a full box of soap powder! The measure cup is the icing on the cake!!I love this box so much that I have now purchased the bread bin from the Home Sweet Home range!!

I’ve recently developed a liking for these and similar storage tins for my kitchen/utility room and am gathering a collection. This arrived wrapped up and boxed for protection. I was amazed to find that this tin holds nearly a whole box of Daz 65 washes powder (other washing powders also available!) There was enough for one wash left in the box that I couldn’t quite squeeze in the tin. Takes up less space in the cupboard than the cardboard boxes too!! Would highly recommend.

I like the look of this box, and it keeps my washing powder from clumping and going damp in its cardboard box. It comfortably fits a medium size box of detergent. I would however say that the handle on the scoop is a little bit flimsy as it easily bends under too much pressure from the powder. I would also recommend using a different scoop to ensure you dispense your powder correctly in the right quantity as there are no markings to indicate the scoop size/volume.

Product was very good and looked great. Much nicer than having a box on display but unfortunately was just too small for what we needed.having a large family we tend to buy 70-100 was detergent boxes and there was no way they would fit meaning we would still be left with a box on display. would have been perfect for smaller 40 wash boxes. Returned and bought a larger one but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend for those looking for a smaller one

so beautiful.Quality product not some thin flimsy metal used.the scoup that comes with it makes it so easy to use the beautiful product.I was a bit sceptic after reading the measurement but go ahead, it perfectly fits in all the powder from aerial 40 washes pack in one go.Doesnot overflow at all.actually still leaves some space on top EVEN BEFORE you place the lid back on.Very useful when laundry powder needs to be kept out of reach of kids etc

Received my Washing powder tin today and I love it. It holds a 40 wash box of Persil powder easily with room to spare. On opening the parcel I was worried it would be too small but glad to say it's bigger than it looks. I've had my eye on it for a while but decided to take the plunge and so glad I did, it's worth every penny and it looks much better than the boring cardboard boxes....love the scoop that comes with it too...very stylish.

This holds a lot of powder as other reviewers have said-a lot more than you think it will. The scoop is great as well because nowadays all you get are horrible plastic 'scoops' even when purchasing large boxes of washing powder(and you have to request them-the cheek!). One small thing is I would have liked the lid to fit a bit tighter but I am not marking it down for that because it looks so lovely

I’ve been looking for one of these for a while now so was please when I found this one at a good price it is very deceiving as it looks small but you can hold a lot of washing powder in it so don’t be put off by the size of it- the only downside was how it was packaged just wrapped in plastic so some of the paint was chipped when I got it but didn’t want to send it back but all in all I love it

Under the sink tends to b slightly damp and this is a great solution to soggy powder boxes which cause powder clumps. Its dimensions are generous and while u could place some boxes into the tin directly, I prefer to use the powder poured directly in and use the little scoop provided. A very useful product.
