I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape.The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles,

These boxes are very good and have been using them for over 5 years. The fact that they are see-through, stack-able and the quality of build features mean that although they are more expensive then other 'plastic' boxes its worth the money. I do wait for Amazon offers as the full price is a bit steep. Also I have tried the double size box (64 L) but it gets too heavy when filled with files/paper etc... so I use them for less dense stuff. I now use the same principle as the removal men ... more small light boxes is better than less heavier boxes... I have tried cheaper and flimsier boxes without the stiffening ribs on the outside and they break and split after a few years of use.

I have added two pictures to the image gallery to show one of the 35 litre boxes I received this morning from Amazon.I think some of the earlier reviewers have suffered from the wrong sizes being shown in the title of this item, and possibly then getting that wrong size sent to them from a Marketplace seller.To hopefully help clear this up -- The box sent when I ordered this item is the 35 litre one I was expecting- The capacity is shown correctly in the title (35L) but the dimensions shown (245x180x160mm) are wrong- The correct sizes are listed in the detailed description (External 480x390x310mm, Internal 370x310x280mm)I have emailed Amazon and asked that they ammend the title to prevent further confusion.Anyway - on to the boxes:These are simply first rate storage; strong,

Love these boxes, love the website and the huge selection they have available. Quality is second to none and they look amazing when set up. Just come across someone who must have had over 100 of these and they stack so well, it adds a professional look to any home office environment that may be short on space. The only down side is that they are expensive to buy in small quantities direct from the company as their carriage charges seem excessive - £12 for a couple of boxes, so can be more than the product itself. If you buy in bulk, that become much less of an issue. However through Amazon or Morrison or if you have Prime, you can't go wrong with these and their product range details supplied give you accurate guidance of what is available,

I use these boxes to maximise the storage space in cupboards and wardrobes. A shelf will eventually become overloaded and jumbled with things piled on top of each other. They are very sturdy, stackable and have fastenable lids. They are also well designed and look good. I use separate boxes for storing things of a certain type and when I need to search for an item I just go to that box instead of emptying half a cupboard in a blind search. I used to use cardboard storage boxes but they were prove to splitting or collapsing or else the lid would not fit but not with these Really Useful boxes which are built to last.

I have bought these boxes in the past, but needed more!I found these on Amazon @ a good price & so bought two more.They prove to be study, very easy to stack, making the storage very compact; I also like the firm clips on the lids which are easy to fasten & undo again.I would always recommend these to anyone because of the listed pros.I have yet to find any cons.at all, and have been using them for the last 15yrs.The seller was promt in sending them to me & most courteous to deal with - I shall buy from him again.

It IS really useful! Plus it's well made. The plastic is strong but light (when empty, of course). The size is fairly large. The places where you put your hands aren't excellent since there are bumps that dig into your fingertips and the handles don't look as if they could take a great deal of weight, but I've not used a lot of weight in the box yet anyway, so I can't fault that.Great storage box. Seems durable and well made. Good price. Would go straight for Really Useful Products again in future.

This is an excellent product and really does the job. If you are fed up with buying inferior quality plastic storage boxes that split or break too easily then don't waste any more time and money on them. Instead buy some of these there is a whole range of sizes to choose from which ensures that you can have the most appropriate size of box for smaller heavy items or bigger lighter bulky items etc. Strong but light weight with a simple but effective lid that locks in place using the blue handles.

Better than I expected and larger than the photo shows the 35ltr storage box surprised me at how large it actually is I'm glad I got this one and not a larger one, and at just £10 its a real bargain should last for many years, as it clear plastic I can see instantly what is inside without moving it or taking the lid off.The lid is large big and robust a tight fit, its not got an air-tight seal but the gap is so small it of no worryfor long term safe storage this is ideal, impressed

These Really Useful Boxes are strong and well made, however when opening the cardboard box the lids were cracked and had bits broken off. It was obvious that the boxes had been forced into the carton which was too smallI phoned Amazon who arranged for them to be collected the next day, and said replacements would be delivered the day after that which they were and this time were in a more suitable box and were undamaged, so as usual excellent after care service from Amazon.

Amazon always has the best service, especially the Prime, next day delivery, wonderful. The really useful storage boxes are great size, much stronger than those storage boxes you could get from the supermarkets, 35 L is a nice size to host stuff. It is 480x390x310 mm external as described, could easily be stack ontop of another 35 liter, however, the size does not match with those 9 liter ones. Anyway, the price amazon offers is definitely the best.

Excellent boxes, very sturdy. I had hunted high and low for boxes that would accept foolscap hanger files from standard UK filing cabinets as I needed to reorganise my drawers. These are the ONLY boxes at reasonable price that I found. The Lietz/Esselte boxes that advertise themselves as foolscap compatible are not, but in any case these plastic boxes are much more robust with lids that properly seal as the handles act as clips.

What to say about a plastic storage box....it is stackable, the clip handles hold the lid in place, it is see through so easy to check which box is which - you can get other colours so that can be handy too, it takes either A4 or foolscap files although obviously not at the same time. Excellent product and worth the money. The size means that when it is full it is still moveable unlike larger boxes that can get too heavy.

Love these boxes. Have got loads of them around the home and the office in a variety of different shapes and sizes. So far they have all proved to be pretty much indestructible (and I don't treat them gently)! I wouldn't buy another brand of storage box now. Really Useful Boxes are a little more expensive than their competition, but they are well worth the extra expense. As my nan always said, 'buy cheap, buy twice'.

I have used these boxes, in a wide range of sizes, for many years. The lids always close - and stay closed. The clear sides enable me to establish, quickly, what's inside. The handles click closed straightaway and, more important, STAY closed. The boxes stack securely and are stable. These comments apply to sizes up to approx. 45 and I cannot comment on the very largest boxes as I have never used them -yet!
