This is for someone who is looking for something more than your average cheap pair of sunglasses. For someone who is not just looking for style but for a quality pair as well. I bought my first pair of Ray-Ban glasses over a year ago and so far I have been very satisfied. So satisfied that I decided to buy my second pair, the clubmasters. Here are my thoughts on the fit, durability, and lens quality.FitA buyer who is looking to purchase their first pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses needs to know what size they are before ordering. Ordering blindly may leave you unhappy with your purchase. When it comes to sunglasses fit is very important. When I first put my pair on I was pleased with how the glasses fit on my face and nose.I could shake my head from side to side and they would stay put. Although, I noticed when sweaty they had a tendency to slide down my nose a little bit. My recommendation is to try pairs on at a local retailer to find your fit.DurabilityFrom the moment I opened the package and put the sunglasses in my hand I could feel the quality. The glasses feel really sturdy and durable in your hand. When you are paying the extra money for quality you should expect it and these pass the test. Should be able to handle a couple accidental drops and ultimately last awhile. These aren’t your fragile cheap sunglasses you’ve been breaking.Lens QualityWhen ordering I decided to not go with the more expensive polarized lenses and settled for the classic G-15. The lenses are still perfect and do the job you want them to do. If you are very sensitive to sun light these lenses are high quality and almost no ray of sun gets past them. From the beach to your backyard you will be protected.Overall I am very happy with my purchase of the clubmasters and would recommend to anyone!

Classic! Retro wayfarer's At the time of this writing I just received the Ray-Ban Clubmaster 49mm. Mine are Blue lens and tortoise frames. These are designed after the original 1950's wayfairs. The actual lense is wrapped with metal underneath and the tortoise shell frame is across the top and sides. This gives it a very smart and clean look and yes, intellectural. The first thing I noticed is how Blue the lense is. They have all different colors but I chose the darker mirror blue which really makes them stand out and be noticed. The second thing I noticed is the heft. These are not a cheap feeling plastic pair of sumglasses. They have a great feel to them and you have a sense of expensive look about them.Now I say tortoise and you might think back to the CAT eye of the 50's and 60's but when I look at the frame it does not look like the semi translucient frames of yesteryear. Yes they are tortosie but not feminine. I actually own another pair of wayfare's that are the black plastic frames and dark lense. I bought them for a trip over 15 years ago and paid $79 even back then. It's silly why sunglasses have to cost so much. Anyway my other pair have a slight nerdy look about them and I really think that not all Ra-bans would appeal to everyone. With that said I definitly would reccomend these to anyone looking for a classic style. They truly are timeless. With so many dodgy pairs of RBs knocking about I was a little dubious about getting these at a price so much less than on the RB site. They came in so-so packaging which wouldn't have stood a heaving box being dropped on it in transit but they did arrive fit and well. I'd been on numerous online sites so I knew exactly what to check for re authenticity. These RBs are correct re weight, hinges, smoothness & detail in the frame, the printed 'Ray Ban' on the right lens and the delicate etched RB on the left lens. Both lenses are glass and good quality. They have the number on the back of the frame over the nose, the nose pads are decent and the detail on the left arm is correct.The only question I haven't been able to answer is why these don't have either 'Made in Italy' or 'Made in China' on the right arm, (yes, some genuine ones are made there!) It's got the other detail but just a gap where the country of origin should be??? Nevertheless, they look and feel like an expensive fashion statement and I've had a few complimentary remarks already - a great buy, especially at the price. The case appears to be genuine too, having all the correct characteristics inside and out, (important!) Sizewise, I imagine these may be a bit of a loose fit if you have a small head, especially if you're going for the cool 'glasses on top of your head' look, as the weight tends to pull them down even on a good fit.

I just received a pair of the 49mm W0366 Tortoise/Arista Gold (G-15XLT Lens). Always wanted a pair after seeing them in Reservoir Dogs. I've been looking at them for awhile at Sunglasses Hut after I lost my wayfarers, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger for $144 at the store. Saw them on here for $86.00 and it seemed too good to be true, especially after reading some of the negative comments regarding their legitimacy or build quality. After some research and with the return policy Amazon has on these I figured I'd give them a shot anyway. Here's my synopsis:1. Delivered in 4 days with Prime (over the weekened)2. What I received was exactly what the product description said I was getting (these are not a cheap knockoff)3.They are EXACTLY the same as the ones I compared them to at sunglasses hut. (I went back to check.)4. Build quality is what you'd expect from RB... high quality plastic/ metal / lenses5. These particular frames are made by Ray Ban in China not Italy. Do some research instead of spread ignorance, they are still legit RayBans6. Make sure you try on a pair first to decide what size/shape lens you need.Still can't believe I happened upon such a deal with these shades. I hope I was able to clear the air and get some people off the fence deciding whether or not these are worth it...I'm glad I decided to get them and I definitely would againCheers

Recently bought the 49mm Classic Clubmaster for my girlfriend. She has wanted a very simple pair (black frame, black lens, gold hardware) of sunglasses for everyday use. Got these at a really good price. Buying them directly from Ray-Ban will cost $145 (plus tax it'll be around the $150 range), so being able to get these for $90 was a treat.They look really good on her! I'm actually pretty jealous now and would like to get a pair for myself, though I'd probably grab the 51mm version of this.I didn't notice the Made in China tag, will check and update this but so far there are no signs that the quality is substandard. These are just stunning. Just a very classic look.Here's hoping they can survive a couple of years.Edit:Bought the 51mm version for myself and have no regrets, except that I should have bought it sooner! Really enjoying using these. Hopefully will not have to get another pair for years to come.The glasses are indeed made in China, as indicated on one of the temples. No noticeable difference in terms of quality.Oh and I don't know if this matters to anyone, but the first pair I bought (41mm) came with a brown case but the second pair (51mm) came with a black case. I don't know if it's because of the differing sizes or if the cases are selected randomly. Doesn't really make a difference to me but wouldn't mind an explanation.

I bought Ray Ban Clubmasters with polarised lenses. I could not be happier with this high quality product. These lenses have a timeless look which are probably suitable for people of any age. I myself am a 28 year old woman however these glasses look great on any gender and any age group. I also have a small face which is one of the reasons I choose this style, lager styles make me look like a fly!The glasses are quite heavy however still very comfortable and very well made, you can really feel the quality of them. The polarised lenses are very clear. I wanted polarised because I wanted to be free from glare when driving,this type of lens is also popular with people who take part in snow sports and people who fish.Please be aware that these glasses do not say 'made in Italy; on them. This does not mean that they are fake so don't worry. Luxottica, the company which owns the Ray Ban brand along with other sunglass brands such as Oakley and Persol has factories in various locations around the world, it just so happens that a lot of Clubmasters are manufactured in China (if you would like confirmation of this there is a map on Luxottica's web site. i owned a pair of ray-bans decades ago that served me very well for many, many years, but then i became a guy that just didn't bother with sunglasses much, didn't feel the need. but things have changed so i decided to pick up another pair and, just as was the case many moons ago, they are perfect, classic, couldn't be happier with the purchase. one gripe tho, and it's really no big deal, but the ad shows that the glasses i purchased came in a brown box, which i liked. unfortunately the glasses that arrived cam in a black ray-ban box. also, fwiw, be careful to select the correct size from the size drop down selector, this is very easy to miss when adding your glasses to your shopping cart. btw,there's a ton of bad info on the net about what constitutes authentic ray-bans and fake ray-bans, so many people with no idea of what they're talking about chiming in as if they were experts. two common pieces of bad info are a) all ray-bans are made in italy, not china, so if your ray-bans are made in china then they are fake - this is nonsense. and b) authentic ray-bans fold both inwards and outwards to accommodate larger heads, so if your ray-bans only flex inwards then they are fake - this is nonsense as well.

Love these. Was looking for mirror blue, but these green ones came up used at Amazon. Couldn't say no to the price. Love the mirror look. They're very dark, much darker than my Serengettis. I thought the tint would resemble RayBan green, but its not, its a very dark neutral gray with a slightly blueish/purple color caste, or maybe it just seems that way 'cuz I'm used to the brown Serengettis, which are very warm colorization. 4 stars instead of 5 only because they're slightly heavy, I think 'cuz of the glass lenses. The broad nose pieces mitigate that issue for the most part. Also, I like gradient lenses for driving. These are uniformly so dark, its hard to see the instrument panel.Lenses appear to be very high quality, crystal-clear view through them. The lenses are slightly smaller than my other sunglasses, and I can see around them just a bit at the outside edges. This was distracting for the first few minutes, then I got used to it and don't notice anymore. The wood-look frames are beautiful. I still carry the Serengettis in the car, but haven't used them since I got these. If lost, I'd buy them again.

I purchased the tortoise clubmasters back about 7 months ago in the winter. Since it wasn't sunny for what seems like forever after that, I didn't get a good change to really try them out until well into my crew team's spring season. I wore them to every afternoon practice as well as every regatta (I am the coxswain) and they worked PERFECTLY. They were extremely comfortable while also allowing myself to be able to see and steer the boat correctly. Since crew has now been over for the summer, I wear these glasses even MORE often!! They are my go to, no matter if I am just going to the grocery store or if I am laying poolside while babysitting. As many other reviewers have mentioned,these sunglasses are great for any occasion! I had been hesitant at first to purchase these because they are so expensive.. but I can say with 100% confidence that this was one of the best purchases I have made! They beat cheaply made sunglasses ANY DAY. If you are considering this pair but not completely sold because of the price, I can promise you that you won't regret the purchase. :)

I admit it I am a bit of an impulse shopper. That is, sometimes I will see something and know that it seems like it is for me. The moment I saw this style of Ray-Ban sunglasses I was hooked. I was not sure I was hooked for 150.00 dollars at full retail price. There is an elegant and classic look to the Clubmaster. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. These are the real deal bought at a more reasonable price. Do not worry that some Ray-Ban glasses are being made in China now. There is still the same first class build quality to these glasses. The green tint really adds to the sharpness and crispness of focus. Last Saturday I drove 200 miles round trip in my convertible on a sunny day and these glasses were just the ticket so to speak.They do not feel bulky on one's face. It should be noted I am short of stature and a fairly lean build person so the 49mm glasses look good on my face. These glasses are perfect for dress our casual. The sure sign of a classic are those items which fit every situation.

I haven't actually received the correct product yet. I was surprised that when I initially purchased these lenses the process to submit my prescription went fairly quickly and they were able to ship my sunglasses in less than 5 days. The only problem is that somewhere along the line my order had been changed and they shipped the wrong lens color. Frustration only sets in when they tell you it will take 2 to 2.5 weeks to get the order corrected. I would be happier if they ensure that once they received your returned glasses that they could get your order correct and be punctual with getting your order back to you as quickly as the first time. I realize a lot of people only write negative reviews and leave it at that,but I stand behind the quality of the product and would totally recommend people going through rayban to get their awesome eyeware. The help line folks have been very helpful, I just wish that I could get my order quicker and correct for a supply error.

I was very sceptical about ordering these, I went around Nottingham all day looking for a pair and non had the ones I wanted e.g size and colour only the matte Clubmasters that were £145, I was going to buy but thought I would wait first before spending that much money then when I searched and found these I was amazed and a little put off at how cheap they were, "are they fake", "they can't be real", Ray-Bans are easy the most popular glasses around and therefore the most fakes. I bought them however and took the risk, and I am so glad I did, when I first opened the packaging I notice a little damage on the box, but nothing to be worried about, I took out the glasses and found everything was fine,you can tell straight away that they aren't fake, the weight and feel to them just feel genuine, I did look at how to spot fake Ray-Bans and these passed as legit real ones, so glad I waited and so glad I checked Amazon. Hope this review helps you more than I helped me.

I have a pair of W0366. I just rediscovered it in my room after several years (I've been keeping it in a box after I got new pair of sunglasses in 2005). The frame and the lens are classy and handsome-looking, and have the shape that I really liked, but the lens are a bit heavy which makes it a little difficult to wear without the nose piece sliding down along my nose. It is not Rayban's fault, it's just that the weather here is sweaty hot and I have oily skin, so the nose piece slides easily after extended period of time. This W0366 was given to me from my mother (I got her second-hand sunglasses, hahaha!) when I was in 6th or 7th grade, which was at least 20 years ago.I showed it to her just today and she was amazed that it was still in 90% perfect shape (I scratched the lens a little) despite all the years! She still loves its design but prefers lighter sunglasses because she goes golfing. After 20+ years of ownership, I can testify to its durability.

I ordered these gorgeous sunglasses as I have looked at them in high end department stores and eyewear shops, but looking was all I could afford!! After many years of admiring these iconic sunglasses and trying them on countless times, I eventually came across this shop on Amazon! I was a little dubious as they were really good value, and I was worried they may not be authentic! I can assure you, they definitely are!!My lovely hubby bought them for me for my birthday and I couldn't be happier! I love the quality and classic look of the Ray Ban Clubmasters, they suit me perfectly! All of the trademarks of Ray Ban are there; the RB etched lens, the substantial weight,the superb brass hinges and the excellent attention to detail. I couldn't be happier, I've waited a long time for them but it was worth the wait!The shop sent the glasses out the day after I ordered, they were packaged safely and they were sent recorded delivery. I purchases these sunglasses after my partner had bought them and they looked great so decided to get a pair for myself! I purchased these months ago and have been wearing them ever since. They're durable, good quality and haven't broken despite me bringing them out with me everyday and putting them in my pockets with phone and keys. The frames have not bent and the lenses have not been scratched despite heavy wearing.The delivery process was quick and easy and had no problems. The size is ideal for my face shape and had plenty of compliments whilst out and about wearing these. These are not the foldable rayban clubmasters but even though they don't fold it does not mean they're not "portable".They fit easily into a coat pocket and do not bend.Overall, this is a great product and would recommend them to everyone. They look cool, stylish and modern. Would be great as a gift especially when Christmas is coming up very soon!
