Your biggest question - will an infant actually ware these things. YES. At least in our case and thank goodness. All babies have sensitive eyes; their retinas are not fully formed at birth. Protecting their retinas from UV radiation in the summer is something a conscientious parent should be thinking about as soon as they start taking their baby outside. But, it is even more important for babies with blue eyes because there is little melanin in the iris. Melanin is the compound responsible for the color of brown eyes. Melanin in the iris absorbs much of the UV light before it reaches the retina, thus preventing photo-damage. Without melanin, the iris of babies with blue eyes cannot block much UV radiation, which then lands directly on the forming retina. UV radiation damage from a lifetime exposure can lead to macular degeneration, a breakdown of the retina that results in blindness. Blue-eyed people should ware UV protected sunglasses their entire life starting in infancy. We put these glasses on our baby before we walk out the door. The strap is a bit big for a 5 month old, so for now they fit a bit loosely and as she turns her head, she tends to move out of the lenses. But bright sun causes her to turn back into them. This problem will not last long; she will grow into them. But I think they could make a smaller size or make a strap that adjusts down farther. The strap is wide and soft and very easily stretched so it does not seem to cause her any distress. The lenses are dark and the wide bridge accommodates the movement of little noses comfortably. But the best part is she just looks so cool. I mean with these things on she is the most stylin' baby in all of Manhattan.

What a tricky little review this is. These sunglasses are without a doubt the answer to the problem of how to get your baby to protect their eyes from the sun without the glasses falling off. They look amazing, I'm always getting stopped by people who want to tell me how cute my son looks in them, and the build quality is amazing. If only your child was an adult and you could reason with them as to why they need to wear them. I have just had to be persistant with my son and introduce them a little at a time, and last week I think we did have them on for 2 hours non stop whilst we were out and about. It is tricky to get the band tension just right. Too tight and your child will obviously be crying, too loose and they'll drop off and you'll look down to see your child chewing on them! If worn for some time the silicon surround will mark your childs face like a pair of swimming goggles would, but the marks soon disappear. If they don't then they definitely were too tight! The bottom line is, if you have a baby (my boy is currently 10 months old) and you want them to wear sunglasses, this is the only design on the market that will work, and Baby Banz are the best quality product on the market. Some kids will wear them and some kids will scream the house down with them on, and you'll only know which one your kid is once you've popped them on their gorgeous little face. Good luck!

These Baby BanZ are not only totally adorable, but perfect for keeping the baby's eyes from the sun. On our stroller we have a canopy, but babies do like to look around their world. I've seen a lot of babies squinting and fussing from the glare of the sun and the BanZ will keep that problem at bay.The matching neoprene elastic band is adjustable via a Velcro attachment. The band does have a little bit of give but not a lot so pay attention to the measurements. There's a silicone band that covers the nose piece and goes partially along the bottom of the frame to ensure they won't slip.I dislike seeing babies and toddlers at the beach, especially when they are exposed to tropical sun.The BanZ is perfect for the toddler who loves to play in the sand. I'd add a Baby BanZ sunhat to round out the package. Great sunnies that, once the baby or toddler gets used to them, will keep those UV rays at bay.FEATURES:► Adventure BanZ Baby have a silicone nose and brow piece and polarized lenses► The lenses have a UV 400 rating for 100% UVA/UVB protection► 100% Polycarbonate frames and lenses► Non-polarized► Lens width: 2.36" (60 mm)► Lens height: 1.25 inches► Silicone nose and brow piece is embedded into the glasses for added comfortCERTIFICATION:CEBABY BANZ:

These shades are ADORABLE! They arrived in very cute packaging and look exactly as they are depicted online. My 6 month-old son wore them right away with no complaining and no attempts to take them off. He wore them for the first time on a short car ride. He looked so incredibly CUTE it took us 10 minutes to leave the driveway because I couldn't stop taking pictures of him. Although they look comfortable and didn't seem to be pinching him anywhere, he did have a red mark between his eyebrows once we took them off after wearing them for about 15 minutes, but that is probably to be expected. Having said that, I think the rubber noise piece is a definite plus! I am taking one star off because they do run large. My son is 6 months old, but he is larger than the typical baby (97th percentile for height and 72nd percentile for weight) and looks like he's about a year old. The glasses are still pretty loose on him, even with the band adjusted to it's shortest length. I've seen other reviewers remarking on the inaccurate sizing, so maybe Baby Banz should widen the adjustment range on the band. Otherwise, we love, love, love these glasses so far and would definitely recommend them to others. We will probably buy more in different colors.

Omg these are so stinking cute. My son is developmentally delayed so he has issues with stuff touching his face (we are still working on me being allowed to wipe his face after he eats because its touch and go), I bought these mostly on hope he would wear them, and it took awhile but he will accept them for small amounts of time. Which in my family, is a win. He has a giant head so that is so nice that they fit and will fit him for a minute. He has light eyes so eye protection was really important to me. It should factor into every parent's outdoor decisions for their babies and kids regardless of skin tone or eye color (yes lighter of both is higher risk but all skin and all eyes can get sun damage),you don't need to buy these, but look at recommendations from American academy of pediatrics about sunglasses and make sure you are getting the right protection for your kiddos (what do they block, how is it rated, do they do well with reflected light off water? Etc) not just something that looks cute as pie. Because these are both but I'm sure there are more options out there that will work also.

I purchased these glasses last spring and my daughter used them all summer when she was 8-14 months old. We live in sunny Arizona and they got a lot of use at the pool. They are pricey for baby sunglasses but they're oh so cute! My favorite look with these glasses was when she also had on her sun hat so you couldn't see the band around her head. They stay on well, I never had problems with my daughter pulling them off when we were outside, when I tried them on her inside she didn't like them though, I'm assuming it made everything too dark. I loved being able to have sun protection for her little eyes, especially while swimming with light reflecting off the water as well.It was also nice to keep water from splashing in her eyes while she floated around in her pool float. Our pool has a sandy beach and I regret I wasn't diligent in storing them in their case always, the lenses scratched easily just from being placed in my pool bag with slightly sandy towels and clothing. So I would recommend for the price you pay for them make sure you always keep them in the little storage bag.

Even your infant needs eye protection when out in the bright sunlight. “Adventure BanZ Baby Sunglasses, Caribbean Blue, Infants 0 – 2 Years” are a very good choice. The Caribbean Blue is a bright turquoise while the glasses frame is closer to a clear, true blue. These sunglasses are cute and the shape is similar to that of wrap-around sunglasses so that your little one’s eyes are more fully shielded from harmful rays. The soft, foam-like banded strap with Velcro closure may lessen the likelihood of a child knocking or pulling these sunglasses off. The minimum circumference of the sunglasses and strap – when the Velcro portions of the closure are in full contact - is about 18 ½”; the maximum – allowing a 1” overlap on the closure – is approximately 20”.The band does stretch slightly, but not a significant amount. My granddaughter's head is in the 97th per centile and these fit her nicely.I liked “Adventure BanZ Baby Sunglasses, Caribbean Blue, Infants 0 – 2 Years” for my granddaughter. You may find a pair of these sunglasses useful for your little one as well.

These Baby Banz Adventure Sunglasses are not only attractive, but they are very strong. They survived being squashed in an inexpensive, bubble-lined manila envelope during shipment to my home. They look great on the sixth-month infant, Claire, that my girlfriend, Tammy, and I sometimes babysit when Theresa, her mom, is working. Claire wears the Baby Banz Adventure Sunglasses without complaining. We’ve taken her for trips around our condo complex while the sun was shining.Claire has never tried to take these sunglasses off her beautiful face and throw them. They stay firmly attached. I think they look cool. Everyone loves them on Claire and is constantly taking photos of her wearing them.I highly recommend the Baby Banz Adventure Sunglasses for babies to wear when they are outside for extended periods of time in order to protect their vision. (They should also wear plenty of sunscreen.) Christmas is fast approaching and these sunglasses would make a wonderful present for parents to put on their children.

It is a great product to protect your baby's eyes. I like it for my baby and yes per other reviews it does leave a red line around the frame but it goes away after a few minutes. As long as I don't see any rash or something terribly bad for her skin, I am ok. I wish, that the velcro was the new type that doesn't make scary sound. A lot of time she sleeps after the walk and I have to take the sun glasses off after we come inside the house. Just slipping off and on works but sometimes I have to undo the velcro and I wish the company will start using the newer type of the velcro where it is still very strong but makes less scary sounds for the baby. Otherwise these are great. It is surprising how many people do not know about these. we went for a fair and our baby was wearing them. 1. She got a LOT of compliments. 2. so many people asked us about them and said that they would love these for babies in their family....our baby doesn't take them off or is bothered by them so, so far so good.

These are so cool! Everyone comments on how they look on our baby. The retro, bigger lens design is a nice touch--the more popular style that sell looked too sporty, especially if you have a girl. The pink camo is very stylish without being too cheesy. It has a simple patch of velcro that can be quickly undone, wrapped around your babies head, and the re-secured. The band has some flex to it and the back is wider to help it stay on. Our 5-month old is a bit on the small side and the sunglasses are not too big for her. We're not a big fan of big floppy hats and these sunglasses proved themselves on our recent trip to the amusement park. They come with a cloth bag, which was a nice way to keep them from getting scratched in the diaper bag.Our baby doesn't mind having them on and it appears that she likes not having the sun on her eyes. One of us thought it was just a frivolous gag purchase but it turned out to have great utility and looks cool!

I absolutely love these glasses and most importantly they stay on my daughter's head and don't leave marks after minutes of wearing as I have previously experienced with other glasses. The band that goes around the head is adjustable and very comfortable. The glasses themselves cover a large area and sides of the head so no sun comes in from the sides.I bought the glasses in white and so far have not noticed them getting dirty too soon. They come in a soft pouch like adult sunglasses do which you can use to clean the glasses. My daughter also loves playing with them, the keeps taking the glasses out of the pouch and stuffs them back. It's a good distraction and keeps her occupied if needed. The glasses are very well made and have already traveled to two countries with us and they are still like new.My baby girl looks so adorable in these glasses. I would definitely buy another pair in a different color or size!

Cute! But for my baby girl starting in 4months but wearing size upto one month in clothes (hope it helps gage the head) it comes right upto a cm from the last but that I can velcro on ( meaning it's big on the band.. ) it does cut across over her ears though so I'm yet to see how it sits when she's bigger.. not sure the kid would like her ears strapped to her head? Also the frontnose grip area.. no soft cushioning (like every kids glasses but for the price would have liked that it did so it didn't leave Ares mark which it did on my little one.. so I'm gonna see if a glue gun can do the trick or if there is something I can buy.. I would recommend it but with the points above if u are happy to get it..I paid for a quick delivery which was the cost of these plus almost 7£ shipping... Probably not worth it but that said I did have updates on the order which was lovely and it's such a cute design

My niece already has a pair of similar sunglasses/sun goggles in Flamingo Pink that I bought her at the end of summer. Instead of ear pieces these have a band that adjusts with Velcro and can be adjusted securely. Because kids have such little noses without a defined bridge or real cartilage these are designed to stay on place and they mostly do. These glasses offer UV protection and I put these on her when I take her for a stroll outdoors with sunscreen and a big sun hat.My niece started wearing these when she was a few months old and she pretty much ignores these and treats them as she would clothing.....just something that is there. They don't seem to bother her and she already seems to know she looks cute wearing these because she likes to look at herself. These are well made and cute. They offer protection. I'm giving them 5* because they are also reasonably priced.

Good lenses and build quality. I bought these for my 17 month old son who is average size for his age (55% quartile). After a bit of positive praise, he was motivated to wear them and he likes them. Perhaps if his head was slightly larger and not so rounded at the back, the elasticated band would have less of a tendency to gradually slip down at the back. This means I am conscious of the band sliding down over the top part of his ears and often make them stick out a bit. The band does not fit as well as traditional arms on sunglasses but children with larger heads may have a better experience. I am currently using the smallest and tightest adjustment level and perhaps if i could make it a bit tighter, this would reduce the slipping effect at the back. The Glasses say age 0-2 but I would suggest 12 months - 36 months is a more accurate guideline.

At first our little girl (14 months) didn't want anything to do with these. She would hardly let us put them on. But then we distracted her and slipped them on, and she kept them on for a long time. Now she does great with them and they're awesome for keeping the sun AND wind out of her eyes because they fit snugly. We like to bike with her in a front baby seat and she would always end up having tears running down her face from the wind. But these keep out the wind really well. My only critique is that it would be nice if the band was split in the back to go higher and lower behind her head. As it is, either we put the band higher to keep it from slipping down and it leaves a mark under her eyes because it's too tight or we put the band lower and it folds down her ears.Other than that, though, we really like them.
