Incredibly warm for its weight. Hood is very large so if no helmet wear a hat and neck fleece so keep any draughts out. One thing I found was if you are walking in this, sweat can soak the down from the inside, so wear something that will keep the sweat away from the jacket, otherwise the down will lose its loft and not keep you warm. But, altogether, am impressed. I've been using it just over a r shirt camping in freezing conditions and have stayed cosy. The high zips on the side pockets are great if you are wearing a harness or ruckssac waist band.

This jacket is brilliant. It’s a great fit, high quality and very warm. I love the high neck, which almost acts as a scarf, and the cut at the bottom which is lower at the back to cover the bum!I’ve worn it in subzero conditions when I’ve been both active and static and it always keeps me warm. It looks really good too, I love this jacket.I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a warm jacket that can be worn both on its own and as a mid layer under a waterproof shell.

This jacket is perfect from RAB, the fit is precise and comfortable. The warmth is perfect for the size and it packs down real small for my pack. This is the ideal layer to keep warm on mountain days, brew stops on mountains, belaying in the cold or luring in bothys, huts or tent nights. I have two of these, a large & an extra large, in my pack 24/7 as a spare.5***** all round!

Very nice, light but warm jacket. I have a cheaper jacket £20, it was quite acceptable for walking the dog on mild days but once cold. It needed big a fleece. This is a leap ahead, even with a biter cold morning it was warmer with just a light top on.

This lightweight jacket provides the insulation of a large down jacket. I have worn this with just a tshirt underneath in this cold weather spell we have just had with not a problem.

After 3 hours of searching for the perfect coat finally found it. The quality and fit of the cost are superb and the fact it has pertex coating makes this coat all the better.

Had this jacket a couple of months now, and it's awesome. Light weight, very warm, long enough to keep your upper bum warm (I'm 6'4 tall). Would buy without hesitation. :)
