I’m reviewing the conditioner here, not the shampoo. After being a bit nonplussed by Pureology’s “Hydrate” (not “Hydrate Sheer”) shampoo, which seemed alright but nothing special, this conditioner came as a very pleasant surprise. The first noticeable thing about it is the scent, which is strong and extremely reminiscent of the mint aroma of the Original Source brand- and seeing how that’s a favourite of mine, this was very welcome. Similarly, it’s followed up by a strong tingling sensation on the scalp, an effect which some people might not like but which personally I find really invigorating in the morning, it’s a real wake-up call and also makes it feel as though your hair is actually being treated by something, rather than essentially just washed with soap. The mint scent comes around a third time if and when you use a hairdryer afterwards, which seems to unlock another final round of the punchy and very welcome scent.Besides banging on about the aroma, it’s also a conditioner that my hair really likes. It has a gentle, mild but noticeable thickening effect and manages to make my hair feel richer, but in a way that feels totally natural and not plasticated. If I had one complaint about this product, it’s that it doesn’t lather or expand very much, and for longer hair you end up having to use quite a lot of it. So unfortunately, a small 266ml bottle is not going to last very long, especially if it becomes your favourite hair product. It’s rare that I find a shampoo or conditioner that I feel stands out from the rest, and while the Pureology shampoo I tried didn’t do that, this one does. It’s a pleasure to use and very satisfying when looking at the results on my head too.

I found this a good conditioner to use on my home-coloured hair. It is, however, a small bottle for a (currently) rather high rrp and it isn’t really any better than my usual choices that are larger bottles for less outlay. I also really hate the smell, which I can’t pinpoint, except to say it seems chemical in nature and, although it left my hair feeling nicely conditioned and shiny to boot, it isn’t a pleasant scent. I might get it, along with the matching shampoo in the future, but only on an offer unless it comes down in rrp to be more in line with my usual brand, but I somehow doubt it due to the scent.Update: I have to totally revise my view of this product. As I got to the end of the bottle and returned to my usual products, I realised that my hair has not been in such good condition for years and that is despite the fact lockdown happened when I was overdue for a cut. My hair has not been cut for 10 months and is getting long, but it actually looks and feels as though a professional has spent time taming the stray pieces and smoothing everything out. I am seriously impressed. I still hate the smell of the stuff, but I can put up with that for the results. Despite my initial misgivings, I have now ordered a shampoo and conditioner and gone for the 1000ml option, such is my new confidence in the product.

My all time favourite conditioner is from the same brand so I was exicted to try this one. The smell is very different to what I was expecting- menthol and maybe tea tree? It’s smells very herbal somehow. I don’t mind it but it’s not the scent I tend to like. I tend to choose floral vanilla scents. The main thing I love about this brand is that it is silicone and paraben free so good for curly hair... at least my other conditioner is! This one is free of all nasties too but somehow destroys the curl. It means I can easily wear it straight with a blow dry which is nice, but again, a little unexpected. So this has surprised me as I assumed it would be similar to the other one I love. I like it,just don’t love it as much! Good for anyone wanting to relax curls or defrizz though!

This is a great conditioner as it makes my hair feel smooth, soft, shiny, and overall tangle-free. When using this product with their shampoo it makes my hair smell fresh and invigorating because it contains eucalyptus, but afterwards, the smell quickly disappears. I would hardly agree that this conditioner justifies the price, but I did see the difference between this conditioner and my other regular ones. I tried it in combination with their hydrate moisturizing shampoo and it works very well to keep my hair smooth.A little advice when using conditioners is to apply the conditioner with your hair upside down as conditioners can cause acne to appear on your back.Overall, it is a really good conditioner, but I wouldn't buy it personally as it isn't anything special.

Pureology is an excellent source of hair conditioning which is specially formulated for coloured hair. I have been using this brand for a few months now and due to the price, it is a premium product which I believe is well worth the money as it is a very rich product, therefore, a little of this product goes a long way.I found it too rich for my roots therefore as directed I applied it to the main hair follicle. The silky texture and sheen of my hair from regular use of this brand are noticeable as well as being easy to style as it saved me using my straighteners as it left my hair looking and feeling at its best.A great quality hair conditioner which smells divine, happy to recommend.

I have coloured hair and this conditioner washes out easily and leaves my hair feeling clean, light and conditioned with a lovely smell of eucalyptus/mint that lasts for a couple of days. The packaging is attractive with a sturdy bottle and a substantial flip closure that doesn't leak, which is good as the bottle is stored on the lid!I have been using this for a month now and this is a good product that left my hair glossy and manageable, but at £18 a bottle it is way over what I would usually pay.If the price was lower I would definitely buy again. I would have given this 5 stars but it loses one star because of the price.

I have flat, thin and overly heat damaged hair. I find it is often weighted down by products but this one worked ok as long as I have it a really good rinse out!The packaging is simple and doesn't necessarily look as premium as you would expect for a conditioner at this price point. The conditioner is easy to apply and luxuriously thick. I has to rinse it very well but I was left with bouncy shiny hair which looked to be in much better condition after only one application. One week and 4 wash and conditions later I'm still impressed with the results, my hair doesn't feel weighed down but deeply treated and smooth.

After having my hair bleached a few weeks ago the salon sleek has gone and my hair is turning dry and brittle, after just the first wash with this Pureology condition I can feel the hydration and treatment to the ends of my hair. Even when blow drying I could see it was less frizzy, it smells amazing of tea tree/mint but if using in the shower it’s quite over powering and made my eyes sting from the scent. Two days after washing my hair and I can still smell it mildly in my hair and it’s very pleasant. It’s more than I’d usually pay for a conditioner but as a monthly treatment instead of every day use I’d recommend

I have fine, colour treated hair that can feel on the dry side. This conditioner is a joy to use! The scent is a very refreshing minty fragrance. My hair looks more healthy and sleek after just a couple of uses.I shampoo my hair, then apply this conditioner from root to tip, leave for 2 minutes and rinse. My hair is softer and much more manageable, especially when styling. The product feels nourishing, but without the weight.A great luxury buy that has really improved how my hair looks and feels.

I have very fine hair and this conditioner leaves my hair feeling light and soft.Although it doesn’t smell of anything, kind of a light minty smell. So it does give you that cooling feeling when you apply the conditioner. You will have to give your hair a good rinse otherwise your hair might feel greasy.Overall, it doesn’t smell particularly strong and does condition your hair very well.

This is a great conditioner, it really makes my hair feel soft and doesn't weigh it down. One of the reasons I don't give it five stars is because I don't like the smell of mint and rosemary in my hair. I would absolutely love it and give it five stars if it had more of a fresh floral or maybe a vanilla scent. Second reason is that it's so dang expensive! It's a tiny bottle for over $30!

This conditioner smells great, expensive but pretty quality. They give a beautiful smell and makes a nice clean feel.My hair requires volumizing & moisturizing at the same time and I have tried other products but I feel its not as effective as this product which I think i will be buying these on a regular basis. You pay slightly more but its worth the money and its effective.

I’ve been using Pureology Hydrating Conditioner for a week now and although I wasn’t too sure at the start I do feel that it’s now removing all the negative products I’ve been using on my hair and leaving it softer and moisturised. The details say that it has a variety of plant-based fragrances but for me it has a lovely minty smell which I really like.

Love it. The moisturising line is as if it was designed for me. Perfect for my semi curly hair. Makes the hair feel thick and healthy.I wholeheartedly recommend for everyone with potentially dry hair. On top of it it’s vegan, no artificial additives, environmentally friendly. It pretty much works on all levels one can imagine.

I love this conditioner as it makes my coloured hair soft and easy to manage and comb. it is expensive, but you only need a small amount even for shoulder length hair. It has a smell of peppermint and while I like peppermint, I think it is a shame after the lovely lavender smell of the shampoo.
