This states that it takes a month to give good results, and having used both the product for uncoloured and coloured hair within that time, I feel like I've given it a fair testing.The shampoo and conditioner are really good quality, 150 ml isn't particularly generous, but you only need about 8 ml to wash your hair, if, like me, you have thin hair, and why would you be using this if you didn't have it? It's a very thick shampoo, smelling very strongly of peppermint. You can feel this tingling on your scalp, which may account for the burning sensation experienced by some.If you already have irritated skin on your scalp, and thin hair due to scalp issues, this may not be for you.

Nioxin is a 3-step system that aims to improve the condition of your hair and thus reduce any tendency for hair to break or fall out; it doesn’t regenerate hair growth, but hopefully may stop further thinning.There are 6 numbered systems as follows:1. I’ve always had fine, thin hair and with PCOS I tend to lose a lot of hair. Almost 3.5 months postpartum my hair started falling out. After 9 months of thick non-shedding hair it was pretty saddening to see it all go, and with my pcos I was afraid I would lose more hair than I had prior to being pregnant. This stuff makes my hair feel so nice and I’ve only used it for 3 weeks now, usually just once a week. My hair feels so thick after using the 3 products together, and I’ve noticed that my hair has become much softer and healthy looking as it was extremely dry before using this stuff. I also use a leave in conditioner by caviar, so I know that that helps as well. Anyway,

This is one of a range of products from Wella which all aim to make thinning hair more resilient and thicker-looking. There are six products, and this one, Nioxin 4, is meant for coloured hair. You get a shampoo and a conditioner, which work as expected -- an effective shampoo, and a pleasant conditioner that leaves your hair feeling smooth. Then the important part -- the scalp and hair treatment, which is meant to make your hair seem thicker. I have used this product regularly for over a year, and really notice the difference it makes. My hair is easier to arrange, seems springier and a bit fuller.The product is easy to use, but which of its multitude of ingredients is having an effect is impossible to say.

Some years ago, Nioxin helped me through a bout of chemo. Along with using a cold cap, I emerged after 6 months worth of treatment with two thirds of my hair still intact - and it also helped my re-growth afterwards no end. Brilliant!Then I stopped using it.Now, 6 years on, I am taking medication that could potentially threaten my hair - so I decided to get myself a new set of Nioxin, and hopefully stave off any hair loss before it begins.Using it again has been like coming home. The fresh minty smell is so good, and that scalp tingle really wakes me up in the morning!But best of all is how this system makes my hair feel again! It's soft and shiny, right from the first use,

I have been a fan of Nioxin for a long time, and used their scalp therapy when I had dermatitis. It also works on leg ulcers, apparently, though I am not sure how my hairdresser found this out! I find it really cooling and it really did help my scalp problems. I tried their stuff for colour treated hair about 10 years ago but it didn't smell great. I am pleased to report that this is a great improvement on the old versions.I have fine coloured hair and Nioxin doesn't weigh it down. I use it primarily for the benefits it has on my scalp. Nioxin point out that the scalp is skin and it's incredible how little attention I pay to that when I am so obsessed with all my other skin!

My hair has been thinning a bit as I get older so I was interested to try the Nioxin system. It's three steps - shampoo, conditioner and a hair/scalp 'treatment' - that don't claim to make hair regrow but say that they will improve the condition of your hair and scalp to make hair look fuller and not thin as much in future. This review is for number 4, for coloured hair with progressed thinning. I could definitely smell the menthol in the products, but it wasn't unpleasant. It even made my scalp tingle! I haven't been using this for 30 days but I did notice that my hair looked good and felt more full in the week or so I have used the three products. It does make the washing process far more time-intensive!

Not really got a huge problem with thinning but hair seemed to lose body, so thought I'd try this. Three products, shampoo, conditioner and treatment.All smelled lovely and shampoo &conditioner easy to use, so far so good seem to have a bit of mint/menthol presumably to open up blood flow so scalp left cool and tingly in a nice way!. Treatment spray was a little more difficult as mousse like texture that instructions said spray directly onto scalp. As a result it was a bit dribbly but persevered. There were warnings that redness might occur and my scalp did feel a bit itchy and irritated but this died down. Hair didn't feel sticky or as if lots of product applied.Hair is much more bouncy and fuller without mousse so consider this a result.

A slightly expensive product, but one I do actually recommend.The Step 3 Product I would recommend using it overnight, with the ability to wash it out in the morning. If you find application hard i'd say use a pastry brush, I mean why not, you want the best results, who minds if that's unusual!I do think the products work really well, more noticeably so if you have progressed thinning or are really unhappy with your hair. My friend with Trichomoniasis feels so much happier after using these, as the improvement is noticeable, and sometimes all you need for confidence is that. She says that it's made her hair feel thicker and less dead on the ends. For myself,

A trial pack containing shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment aimed at dry hair that is either naturally fine or thinning with age. Each product has a menthol/mint smell feel that is gently stimulating on the scalp. The shampoo/conditioner are used as normal, the foam/mousse treatment applied after - a single squirt was enough for my shortish hair. Obviously we can't expect miracles but after a couple of week's use, my hair feels 're-set' in terms of moisture levels and with extra vitality. There's no noticeable thickening yet but that clearly takes time. At this stage, I'd say this is worth a try as it leaves hair feeling clean, smooth, and less parched,

This is the NIOXIN product is in the middle of the scale.There are 6 products in this range ... 1-2 is for Natural Hair, 3-4 Coloured Hair and 5-6 for Chemically Treated Hair.Each set of 2 systems is either for Light Thinning or Progressed thinning.This is also the TRIAL kit size which means you’re not likely to see a difference with this kit.NIOXIN says for results to be noticeable it will take around 30 days.You only get 150ml of product here so if you do the math you’ll realise you are talking about 5ml to wash your hair .... not going to be enough. HOWEVER you do get a sense that the product is cleaning and conditioning your hair really well ... but is my hair better and nicer ?

Hair thinning is a problem for many people so I was pleased to sample and test this productwhich is the Nioxin 3 System 4. I say sample and test but I have used Nioxin products before andhave been very satisfied. It was initially recommended by my hairdresser and I have used it periodically ever since.This particular product consists of a shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment. That is in fact the sequence in whichyou should use them - carefully following the instructions on the pack.It is important to use it regularly.I used it over a two week period and was impressed.In my experience it is effective in thickening hair and stimulating growth.Recommended.

I've used Nioxin products in the past and can honestly say that I have been very happy with them.This is a new type for me, and having colour on my hair, I was interested to see how well it performed.It's good....obviously you are unable to see full results for at least 30 days.... and the manufacturer makes that very clear.I've used it for a week and my hair feels clean, healthy and there is a little more body to it, especially when I use the scalp treatment spray. That was my experience when I used Nioxin before...and I would recommend using all 3 products together for the best results.I will report back in about 3 weeks with some before and after photos.

I brought the set of three, shampoo / conditioner / moose and now I just use the moose. Mainly because of cost but there is no doubt that this stuff works. I noticed the difference in the thickness of my hair and had baby hairs growing underneath, which I thought I was long past. I am a woman but always felt my hair was thinning a little near the front and after just a few washes I could start to see wispy new hair growth. I now use to thicken and add volume to my hair because it is so fine.I would say to use sparingly on the patches you want to focus on because it does cost quite a bit, but certainly to give it a go.

My hair was coming out in handfuls everytime I washed it, it was quite alarming. After only 2 uses of the Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner the difference was amazing and very noticeable. Hardly any hair came out, only what I would consider to be a normal slight amount. It may be expensive but it`s been worth every penny. I`m so impressed. It was recommended to me by a friend who`d had cancer and her surgeon had recommended it to her so I felt that was a great recommendation to take notice of. With further use my hair is noticeably thicker and healthy looking and the peppermint smell is really nice too.
