I thought a lot about buying this game for a long time. What made me eventually buy it was the release of the trophy patch. By reading and watching Amazon's, Gametrailers' and Metacritic's reviews, I came to think that this game was really truly awesome... the truth is that graphic wise it's not as good as some racing games in this generation, like Burnout, Forza or MotorStorm. While the gameplay is innovative, for me it doesn't stand out as one of the best out there either. This game has 6 playable characters and plenty of events to complete, you can build your own ATVs and improve skills and tricks for your characters, while unlocking new costumes. Although it doesn't have the depth I think a game like this should,

WOW!!! This was a game i read loads of reviews about, gained as much info as possible then played the download before purchasing. It wasnt on my list at all and i had little interest in racing ATV's after having given a few similar games a go in the past.but this?.....pure genius!!The graphics...amazing!! some of the best ive yet seen.the controls? 100% spot on..!!if anyone tells you this is not as good as Motorstorm, ignore them..this is 100 times better. Even the new Motorstorm Pacific game that ive played comes nowhere near this in terms of playability, trust me. The biggest problem with Motorstorm is the inability to turn or twist mid air to get your vehicle pointing in the right direction.

Pure is a good fun arcade style ATV racing game with a few 'tricks' to boot.The game itself is pretty similar to Motorstorm. Not as exciting and restricted to quad bikes only. You get a series of events with a few races in each and you simply progress through the events as you unlock them. You have to biuld your first bike and upgrade as you go along, building new bikes as you unlock parts.One interesting touch is the tricks. Doing them provides boost. You can also unlock more advanced tricks during the race which gives extra boost. The trick in the tale is that you get less boost if you repeat the same trick during a race. Also, you have to weigh up the risk of tricking against getting the timing wrong and crashing.

Just to make it clear: this is not a Motorstorm ripoff. Yes, it features off-road racing. But, you have only ATVs to ride. Although, unlike MS you can customize your ATV in order to suit your driving style. You can not do it in MS, you can only chose vehicle type there.Furthermore, you can perform tricks in this one - and this is integral part of the as tricks will give you boost, which comes for free in MS.As for graphics, its extremely good. Myself being a software engineer and knowing PS3 specs, I am sure that devteam tried hard to pull off this level of detail. But I have to admit, that lack of split-screen is frustrating.In short, if you are chosing between this game and MotorStorm,

First off I have to say that I disagree with anyone who says that graphics on this game are not good. In reality, the graphics are superb! It remains to be seen whether the new motorstorm will deliver on graphics but I genuinely believe that the first motorstorm is starting to look a bit dated now.The gameplay is great. It is fun to speed through puddles or water features, soar into the air pulling wacky stunts or just flat out racing to come first. And the ability to custom build your own quad is very well done. You can customise everything from the suspension to the seat.I have to say, for £30 you could do a lot worse! Cracking game and cracking graphics. I would highly recommend it.

Build your ride, race your way around iconic places such as mexico to victory, performing tricks in mid air to gain boost, all in 720p on the PlayStation 3.Pure is a gem missed by so many, it captivates your attention with the sheer drops off jumps and "can i squeeze one more trick in" before i land.Addictive fun with great looking visuals.Many ATV opponents on varying courses short and long keep Pure fresh and original, building speed ATV with max acceleration for those quick tight turning courses or tricked out for the incredible dropping down to reality ones.No split screen however, still worth your time in every way.

This game is a really well rounded, quality arcade style racer, pulling tricks off jumps and boosting etc. It has customisable atvs which actually make a difference to how your atv performs with the different spec parts which adds another dynamic to the game, it can win be the difference between first and lastThe graphics are very good and smooth, the gameplay is very fastthis game deserves more publicity and should have had more hype. I missed out on it for a while and am well happy I bought it!and best off all its really cheap!!!!!

Just played the demo of this and gotta say I loved it! It has some great little touches, like the driver turning round and shouting yeah!!! when you pull off a great trick and shouting at other drivers ha ha the soundtrack from what I heard is very good and the presentation is great - feels like a good quality game.This is nothing like and shouldnt be compared to Motorstorm - motorstorm is a racing game with dirt tracks and quads, this is a stunt game with dirt tracks and quads.If you like SSX tricky then this is for you!! loving it :D

This game is definatley one of the best games of 2008! Ofcourse Motorstorm 2 will beat this, but this beats Motostorm 1!!! You wil not get bored of it, there are over 65,000 ways you can customize youre own quad! 65,000!!! You can take yourself online win cups and challenges, also the graphics are intense, it so fun, the soundtrack is intense, and the gameplay is out of this world!!! GET IT, TRUST ME IT WON'T DISSPOINT YOU!

i'm sorry but ppl who say this game is poor just have way too much time on they're hands. this game brings fantasy and a lil mayhem to life... the graphics to the game-play are very very good, customize Ur ride how u want! i know nothing about motor's in any way, shape or form but this game is a cracker for on-line play as-well as something to kill a few hours of the day!

For all those SSX tricky fans, this game is for you!You get racing and high action, from doing tricks and not only that but you get to customize your gear.If you havn't tried the demo, then do so, rather than listening to idiots, that have no real clue to good gaming.Believe me, if you like SSX and co games, then this is a must for your collection.

Far from the Motorstorm wannabe that people assume Pure will be,it's far closer to this generations equivalent of the SSX series with all the carefully balanced trick vs boost gameplay and over the top courses that made that series such genuinely good fun. At under £20 now, this is an absolute bargain. Don't miss out!

I got my Pure in 4 days which is a very good thing to where I live (Portugal), the game just was loose from the box and when I opened it, it was great but there is a little point that wont come out... but Is a Gift to a friend of mine so when he tries out I'll see if it really works.Bye and a very good Christmas !!

Just playing the game on demo this is definitely a game going on my wishlist. MTV vs ATV doesnt even come close to what this game achieves with the graphics and the gameplay it has...for any racing fan this is without a doubt the next hot racing game on the market!!!

I originally only bought it due to the cool graphic... but it's more. The tricks are a really cool gameplay element, and I meanwhile prefer the freestyle races over the standard races. Definiteley worth every cent...
