We did a blind taste test of every gin in the pub over several weeks (same test every week) with many different gins, we always used fentermans tonic and had four gins each every trial. After we had Portobello Road it was always the one we tried to beat but none did. Looking at another review they tried it with cucumber, tried this but found to be much better with pink grapefruit. It also won a silver medal in 2015 IWSA and was described as outstanding. Also if you like a more citrus gin try Larios 12 from Spain, it's also outstanding

An absolute classic gin. Very traditional in style with strong juniper notes. Best partnered with grapefruit and a decent quality tonic. BTW I am not a huge Fever tree fan as sometimes the tonic is the over riding flavour. Just don't use a supermarket own brand one!! Worth spending the money on as you will not be disappointed.

My favourite gin!! I’m no connoisseur of gin, normally a whiskey man , but out of boredom started my gin journey during lockdown. I’ve tried maybe 20 different types, with various mixers, but this with fever tree is by far the best so far. Subtle , and very refreshing.

This is one of my classic base gins alongside my Tanquerey that I use in cocktails. The market has becomes saturated with too many gimmicky gins, it's just ideal to have your staple London Dry gins that pair with anything and this is one of mine.

First bought this for a friend's wedding where they had a "gin bar" and we wanted to contribute something. There were upwards of 20 different varieties of gin on offer to taste and this one came in the top two on just about everyone's list.

Bought as a gift for the wife, she absolutely loves it. Not only does it look like a great gin it also tastes like one. We drink with soda water and lime. I would recommend buying two bottles, the first will be gone in an instant.

This is such a great gin. Recent convert to gin but after a few regular gin sessions at a local specialist found my way through quite a few. For the current price this is great value for money. Works well with slices of cucumber.

I've been drinking gin for quite a few years now, and this has to be one of my favourites. It's smooth, with a nice aftertaste, and perfect with a good tonic and a slice of grapefruit. Recommended tiple and reasonably priced too.

One time resident of the area of London taking the gins name. Also my cousin had a place there, so what better than a 'local' gin. First picked it up in Asda and loved it right away.

Lovely example of a London Dry Gin which is perfect for making gin and tonics. It has a very clean crisp flavour that is perfectly married with citrus and a good quality tonic.

hands down the best gin for negronis. has a round, smooth bottom end. yes i'm talking about gin. hints of cinnamon even. use it with antica formula and you're GOLDEN.

I've tried a fair few more expensive gins, joined a gin club and all that but I can honestly say that this gin surpasses gins that are a good bit more expensive.

due to the liquorice it seems really sweet, so not my cup of teaIf you like root liquorice (not basset flavour) or sweet gins, it might be up your street.

You can forget all these fancy flavoured gin's, the Portobello gin is a high quality very pure and smooth gin with plenty of flavour.A household favourite!
